uh what there's no way to mix a song like a DS game does it because the mixing is made the way it is with verification from countless executives to make sure it doesn't fill the disk
@@commentspae I'm not sure you know what you are talking about. I think the original commenter meant that that it sounds like it is coming out of the DS sound system. The way it reduces the sample rate and filters the audio is the "sound" of the DS. Putting the right combination of effects on the master tracks is enough to get you super close.
@@kittbluevenom2384 No, I just recorded it in-game using an emulator. While people praise it for "sounding just like the DS", it was basically the emulator doing all the work. >.>
I remember playing this when I was a kid, it was really good imo and different enough from the console version that it would be worth getting. The soundtrack alone was gold
I always was curious who picked/curated the licensed soundtracks for these early-mid 2000’s EA games because their taste in music is IMMACULATE. Literally a childhood-defining soundtrack right here - I haven’t played this game or heard any of these tracks since at least 2009 but I sang along to literally every song!
@@leviathanman7253 same. Dont know where this game is plus my DS doesnt work animore. Fuckn sad cause this was one of my first Racegames. This was Childhood. But now i found the songs. Its sad that i cant Play this game, but it feels great to hear the Musik.
Yeah, you were right. I thought there were more songs in the game and didn't realize all of them were shortened, so it took a lot less time to record them than I thought it would. XD
While DS Carbon's my personal favorite, I'd say DS ProStreet is actually the most impressive racing game on DS - and I do mean "racing game", not just "NfS game". DS ProStreet actually has almost twice as many different events comapred to the PC (and home console) version and it's damage implementation is actually *better* than on PC (PC version has "No Damage", "Low Damage" & "High Damage", while DS has different car parts - each with their own durability, with percentage damage instead of just 3 stages) - while the visual damage is basically non-existent, the effect of car damage on handling and performance is far more noticable on DS. It's a shame they rushed its release and left a bug that prevented all of the game's cutscenes from playing (esentially skipping them all) in the US and Eu versions, but the Korean version has functioning cutscenes 'cause they modified the UI overlay to show Korean text and ended up fixing the bug that skipped the cutscenes in US and Eu versions.
@nijunikuro I think DS Prostreet is one of the most fun games I've ever played in my life and even today after replaying and 100%-ing the career even if honestly the game could've tried discourating farming money against the Drag Queen to get a ford GT right at the beginning of the game. The physics are honestly great and as you said the damage system is very well done too, even if I wish it should've have also affected top speed because the downside of having a 92% broken car isn't that visible aside from drag events. I still also play to goof arround, poping autobahn/ebisu Sprint track 7 opponents and trying to cause the biggest traffic accident known to mankind (I am mentally sane).
also one question, do you know if the Chassis and Suspension upgrades count as one variable (Handling) or as two separate variables but not shown as if a level 1 Chassis and a level 4 suspensions feeling different that a Level 4 chassis and level 1 suspensions (assuming both scenarios have the same handling stat shown)
I've came back here after playing it again dang that game is hard as fuck compared to Prostreet DS and it feels like opponents unfairly catch you up unlike Prostreet
Yeah, it's very hard if you don't rely on your wingmen to win. But if you use an attacker, you can usually just keep crashing the opponents soon after they pass you.
All songs are listed in video's description - with timestamps for easy searching. The video's progress bar is segmented into songs and if you hover over any segment you can see a tooltip with the name of artist and song. There also used to be a side-bar on the right for easy searching, but YT seems to have removed that one. :/ But since you missed all of those - the song's name's Goldfrapp - Ride a White Horse (Serge Santiágo Re-Edit).
