Shawn....I was in awe like yourself when walking in the front door. I've never seen anything like this, and I've watched a ton of videos. The backdrop down to the rails...simply put was amazing. The detail as tiny as the glass insulators on the telephone poles just blew me away. I'm a hi-railer....it was truly refreshing to see this in 2 rail. Thanks to you it was all possible. Much appreciated my friend...thank you. 👍
Very nice to see an excellent video of an O scale 2 rail club layout in action. There are just way to many 3 rail (high rail) videos on RUclips these days so its very refreshing to see a large 2 rail layout in operation. Both the scenery and rolling stock are beautifully detailed and add a great deal to the enjoyment of visually experiencing this layout. And yes the background (backdrops) greatly enhance the visual character of this layout. The club obviously deserves all the support they can get!
To see any O scale 2 Rail layouts or clubs in America is rare these days. However it's opposite in the UK. It's seems to be very rare to see 3 rail in the UK and mostly 2 rail.
Thanks for sharing this video. There's a lot to like here but what stood out to me was the backdrop. Its a feature often forgotten about. The clouds and mountains were so nicely done. It adds incredible depth and realism to the layout.
Shaun, I knew this was gonna be good when the first words you spoke after going in the front door were: "Oh wow! Oh my God!" I wish I was with you, that place is spectacular! And the best thing for the NYSME is they OWN the building, they ain't goin' anywhere! I see you discovered kind of the "Dark Side" of O Gauge two-rail scale, they don't hold the tracks as well as the three-rail trains do, but I have to admit the performance those trains put on was outstanding. As usual, thanks for bringing us along!
