- During the Camelot in Smithereens tour, Deliverance appeared at the 1995 Ichthus Music Festival in Wilmore, KY. This footage was recorded using students at Asbury College.

As a 15 year old I used to have a poster in my room in Mexico and had their music on tape and a boom box. 1995 I was in college not too far from here. I wish I had seen them in concert. This is a jewel. I absolutely love Deliverance!!
the boom box was priceless , still have one still jam it , I stopped all time after 1993 ,for the most part , I got issues but anyway , im 48 still jamming same cassettes I did in high school , only thing I did in school I guess . spent last 30 years trying play guitar and all I did was pick up all the bad habits that come with the scene , just say no ! used to thank that was most corny shit ever heard now it haunts me everyday ,oh shit your in Mexico , have to say i have enjoyed the fine sugars you guys have sent over . not saying you but in general . not everyone is dealer I know .dont want rub ya the wrong way .been 15 years since I seen any fine sugar and its last thang I need but the addicit would never say no . I do know one thang no matter what folks think about the border or Mexicans at the end of the day they Define fuk around and find out .rite or wrong I respect that we are a weak country maybe not military but as humans rats run the jails around here its sad ,we just get high all we worry about we got no balls at all .none I sit think some god awful shit to do to folks that have wronged me but never do nothing but man I watched video of cartel and they had guy stung out and a dog just eating his shit all up ,first time I ever got sick watching a video , guessing dude was chomo maybe not sure but they wrote the book on revenge down there someone did . lol. but anyway I judge no man by where he's from or color of skin hell you may be whiter than me. If Matt and Manny aren't original members, you wouldn't know it.
They are a natural fit in the band.

Manny yes, he was an incredible bassist and just grooved the whole time like he was always part of the band. Matt not so much, very sloppy lead work, to the point of butchering the solo in Weapons.
This was the best memory in my life, I love those guys!
I'm always in search of good Christian metal bands. Somehow these guys flew under the radar. I've only been listening to them for the last 4 months. Like a new band to me, lol. They are awesome! Great talent, great lyrics. 👍👍👍

@@MultiNiko12 Thanks for the reference, great band! I came across Sacred Warrior about 6 years ago. By the way,ri ght now they are lined up to perform at Immortal Fest 2023, in Ohio, this July. I'm looking forward to seeing them. Deliverance and Saint are also scheduled to be there. Get there, if you can. It's going to be a great three day concert!
Have you heard Stryper or at least their new album? Skillet, Bloodgood, Barren Cross, P.o.d., Pillar, Disciple, DecyferDown, Embodyment, Tourniquet, Bride, Divinefire and that’s about all metal bands I listen to unless ur also looking for Christian rock bands as well:)

I was at this show and it is incredible that I can no relive it this many years later! 'River Disturbance' still a favorite album of mine.

Been listening to Deliverence since 87 and they are rated one of my favorite bands. The messages are very powerful, and they have a very pure sound. Never been to a concert.

Still go back to those first Deliverance albums some 30 years later. Loved those early downtown San Diego Soma gigs with Pennywise and Youth Brigade.
They all sound great! To me Jimmy is up there with all the greatest metal singers. That powerful voice while playing guitar.
And I didn't know it was Jimmy himself on the solos. That's amazing!!
That's partly because George Ochoa wasn't in the band at that time. Great concert nonetheless!

I've loved Deliverance ever since I first heard them back in the stone ages of Christian Metal. I got them on a CD at a Bible book store.
At least this drummer knows the songs. When I saw Deliverance in 2001 they had a drummer who didn't even know the songs. I remember Jimmy yelling at him for screwing up the speeding up section of No Time.

I actually lived in Wilmore in the late 80s to mid 90s. Every year when this festival happened there would be traffic and people backed up all over the streets

Jimmy has his own RUclips channel, and in one of the videos he explains how the album was originally meant to come out ( I will try and see if I can find it and link the video in the comments). If you love these guys as much as I do go and support them!

Deliverance one of christian metal's greatest bands. These guys set the standard in thrash. I miss the summer christian music festivals. Back when deliverance, WHITECROSS, dc talk, Michael W. Smith headlined and ruled the popular CCM music festivals.

This crowd had no clue. The crowd only got hype for two thrash tracks. All those River Disturbance treats displayed before them and the crowd looks uninterested. But Deliverance pressed through and made music history that we can enjoy today!
*No Time is a great song, this would fit in easily with anything on Master Of Puppets, great singer with a lot of class in his voice and the Church clothes on stage were a nice touch =)*
