Tell me Jonah hill don’t look like a legendary director already
D'andre Gilchrist Legit, he look like Steven Spielberg
He’s a fucking scam artist. All I see is someone that loves being center of attention. His whole “I grew up in this culture is completely fabricated . If you believe his fat ass was a skater you are as daft as he is.
But he was a skater lmao. Have you seen The Nine Club? Chris Roberts (a skater) talks about always seeing Jonah at the skate shop and the park when he was younger.
A young Harvey Weinstein in the making.
Axel Sjöberg have you never seen a poser before? There were plenty of them back then. Had to carry a skateboard just so they could dress like a skater and hang out at the spots.
Jonah im black you dont have to explain why you love hip hop. We appreciate people like you who come from a different background and love something that we created. Your dope man and we appreciate you brotha. Charlamage only speak for himself we dont all feel this way
Well said. Completely agree
Thank you for saying this. Peace & love
@@theconsciousobserver6829 People like you are always looking for a race argument to get into just chill tf out. Not every black person is looking out for you and not every white person is out to get you. Stop thinking about race so much and think about the individual.
I wanna thank you for saying that.. wish more ppl would be more accepting with one another. Sometimes a random youtube comment gives a bit of hope in humanity
Such a good interview! Love Jonah.
"I'VE NEVER SAID A MEAN WORD IN MY LIFE WHEN I WAS HAPPY WITH MYSELF." POWERFUL
Jonahs passion for this project is definitely why I am going to see it.
I was thinking the same thing! I wanna see it so bad.
Trash
@@johnmoyarbmg5845 I grew up in that era and it was quite accurate. So if you know anything about the 90s you'll like it. Not if you're a kid.
@@dankmheems290 did you not hear what the fucking director said? The movie is for anyone who can connect with the whole theme of being by yourself and then one day you meet a group of people that you befriend and then see them as a 2nd family
PED GSP it kinda does because I unfortunately have to occupy this earth with people like you 🤷🏾♀️
So Jonah Hill seems more hip hop than 90% of the guests on here. Dude's passion for it is refreshing.
He's just trying to fit in and promote a movie. You fools fall for this every time.
@@GAMEBOIMARCUS Every guest is promoting something, you think people go up there to hang out? He's obviously going out of his way to mention rappers that he likes so that people like you don't judge his love for the culture by his looks, but you can't win everybody over apparently.
@@cl20999 That's literally what I just said with less words. He could have just came on and promote because it's simply a big show. You think he goes on Ellen and go out the way to say he love pussy, fish and lesbianism? It's fake.
why you cant let people just like what they like you got damn weirdo

If everyone had a spirit like Jonah's... man this world would be a better place

Good soul and goes for it... Works
Truth
I agree
Amen.
I realize that Jonah Hill has ascended to such a high level of confidence & comfort in his skin to say and be exactly who he is, that the people sitting at this table could not match his energy. He is so thrilled and so excited and so genuinely full of joy at what he's doing and where he is that the people around him came off as dim and one step behind the beat. I learned a lot from this interview and appreciate him dropping these gems. Also, really enjoyed the movie.
Look Jonah hill is pilled to the gills on some type of stimulant. That’s not the real him. Something like vyvanse hijacks your personality and you take a back seat.
“They have the respect to treat people like human beings because they know what it’s like to not be treated like a human being.” -Jonah Hill (34:22) goosebumps 🏄♂️
Maybe Charlamagne should follow up on those jewels because he doesn't treat anyone with respect
This is probably the most positive comments I ever seen after an interview. Jonah got that positive vibe that proves to be contagious. Salute on the interview.
Why does it have to be about color man. And by the way are white and black the only colors in America?

Watch War Dogs.
Owesome Music War Dogs was great but "STEVE...MADDEN!!!"
"Maniac" is a gem! 😍
@@AdrianFulneczek its so dope
Me too. I like all his roles in comedy movies wich made me keep checking for his movies to begin with but wolf of wall street really sold me on his acting the way he became the character and while watching him portray Donnie made me forget about his usual comedy type cast movies. War dogs is another example of his acting depth. let us also keep in mind that he took a tremendous pay cut to be in wolf of wall street just so he can work with Scorsese
You know its a good interview when the bearded dude behind Envy is enjoying it.

Charlemagne your heart is full of hate, learn to except that hip-hop culture in 2018 is multi cultural and Jonah hill who is a legend and a generally nice person , doesn’t need to explain why he is allowed to like black culture and be white , please don’t be racist and just talk positivity rather then negativity
I dont think Charlemagne has hate in his heart. I think he was trying to See if Jonah was genuine about his love for the culture. See a lot of people who aren't black and brown that are down with hip hop only respect the music, but not the people. But Jonah listens, he know his history, he understands privilege, and not one time did he get upset.
Izzofromthe919 but why do whites people have to prove this.. why is that necessary.
Xkdean nail on the head
@@cojack5941 If they don't prove themselves they won't be respected by the people. It's rules in Hip Hop. But Like everything else in the past black people have been stripped of our creations. But it's something about hip hop, that I don't think we will ever let go. It's more than music, it's life.
Izzofromthe919 whenever hip hop was first introduced I don’t believe there was a page that said make white folks prove they are with it.. music comes first and music comes from the soul bro and everybody has one. Don’t let the media fool you

Jonah's ability to deflect Charlemagne's negativity is something we could all learn from
Not everything has to be positive, some subjects are negative but still need to be talked about. That's called being an adult.

Props to Jonah, taking the ropes, not letting the conversation fall in a ditch of negativity that so many reporters want to. Watching Mid 90’s was weirdly therapeutic. I found myself for the first time ever honestly reflecting on my own coming of age as a 36 year old dude from the east bay. The film was honest and it forced me to be honest with myself. It feels strange to say but, I am thankful he chose to make this film the way he did. And shout out to Del, the homeless dude, reppin’ Oakland the proper way.
Jonah with the lowkey savage burn at 54:45 and Charlamagne didn’t even catch it lol.
Jonah - “Frank is the taste God.”
CTHAGOD - “Overrated.”
Jonah “I disagree, but I’m also a huge fan of yours.”
explain that please
Yeah... I don’t get it.
Giles R to be fair, its not that Jonah thinks he’s overrated but rather he knows that people consider C and Frank to be overrated but he doesnt care about that.
that's not a burn. there is no pretext for him to say that as a burn. he's simply saying he humbly disagrees.
Lamest burn ever... nothing savage about that lol
How can you not like this Man. So Authentic and most important, he respects our culture and is for the movement. Jonah invited to every cookout for the next 50 years🤣🤣💯💯

How tf you gonna compare someone so criticized and controversial
I am just going through a lot of this shows interviews and no joke just watched both in the same day and never thought about that way.
@@ixa-3140 Because Tekashi is putting on a "front" and i get in a way with there different backgrounds he kinda has to but Jonah carried this interview not just based off him talking about his acting career but everything else that they took little jabs at , he had the right things to back it up. Plus Tekashi's problem (for me) in his interviews on this show was that he made mistakes and didn't fully own them and Tekashi is just younger and everything happened so quick that he wasn't seasoned as well. I mean Jonah made the point 2-3 times that he waited to do this show until he had more then just a movie to plug or got in trouble and was doing a "i'm sorry " tour. I watched both Tekashi's interviews and this one in the same day (i'm on a bing watch of this show pre covid) and i thought they were equal in entertainment but the first comment used the word "positive " and hands down Jonah has when considering he was talking about his career and life but again Tekashi is just younger and i could see him coming back in 10 years and being more positive. I cannot stand Tekashi's music and i thought he was just a meme but in his 2 interviews i do think he carried himself well and i think i basically said that but again i watching these for the first time and even tho he was still "fronting" a bit to much , it took balls for he to open up and real as much as he did with as you said all the craziness he was dealing with. I hope it works out for him after his interview but again i just think it was an age thing.

This is one of the absolute best interviews I have ever seen. He gave such intelligent and passionate answers! I have a whole new LOVE for Jonah Hill!!
Jonah brought that Steve Jobs sauce to breakfast.
One of the best interviews of the year. Love the mental health talk. Much needed. I was deeply moved by men and women talking about panic attacks together in such a platform.
I swear
He sold this movie.. now I really want to see it.
Lets go together! I'll pick u up.......
Surprisingly Angela actually asked the best questions on this interview. I like him ❤❤
She always asks the best questions and she's usually the only one who sees the movie or reads the book or does any of the work.
@@natalie651 she does, but that doesn't mean she always ask the best questions. Angela always does her homework.
Charlamagne acts funny with some of his white guests
