we moved into a house with all this intalled. but they did not leave any info. how do we get connected? is there a company that we have to pay to beable to program our thermostat and door bell. thanks!
You're welcome. We love it when our videos help someone out. Should you ever decide to get your system monitored, we hope you'll keep us in mind. We have reasonable, no-contract monitoring.
thanks for the videos! I wonder if you can help me. i bought a house with the go!Contol panel. all sensors all all are connected as with 2gig smoke heat detector. it is unmonitored. can i reprogram it myself and monitor with my smart phone eg alexa or google, independent of a security companies monitoring and expensive fees?
As long as the sensors are compatible, the steps shown in this video will apply to existing sensors as well. After the serial number is added, either manually or by using the learn feature, the next question in the zone programming will be the equipment age.
Recently purchased a home with the system already installed for home monitoring only. The system indicated low battery so I changed it in the main unit and armed the system by mistake. I don't have the disarmed code so is there an override code for this system?
Hey Everett, Do you have a Security panel as shown in this video? If so there are no back door or default override codes. Have you tried the default master 1234 user code? Hopefully the previous homeowner reset the codes prior to leaving the home.
Most wireless motions have a 3 minute transmit inhibit unless they are in test mode. If you fault the motion, for example during exit delay, that means it'll be 3 minutes before the motion will send another fault transmission to the panel. It would help to know for sure which motion you're working with.
hey sterling. When I enrolled my DW10 Door/Window sensor into my 2gig go control panel for the first time, after i did the auto enrollment with the sensors serial number, I came acrost the loop number and my panel enrolled my window sensor with loop number 2 instead of loop 1. Is it normal for the panel to put the sensor onto loop 2?
Hello - Great video! It helped me set up my system. Do you know if there is a way to set the sensitivity of a door contact sensor? Recently the wind has been blowing on one door and barely moving it out of place causing the alarm to go off. Could it also be low batteries in the sensor? Thanks!
+Home Owner There's no "sensitivity" setting exactly but there is a magnet spacing gap of .85 inches so that if the door can move enough to separate the magnet from the contact more than .85", you'll need to re-install them to be a bit closer. When disarmed, you should not be able to pull on the door handle with the door closed and have the sensor "fault" as that would indicate a strong wind could set off a false alarm when you aren't home.
+Larry Hunter Unfortunately, we don't but you should be able to add an indoor Z-Wave siren to your 2Gig system pretty easily. This FAQ should help - www.alarmgrid.com/faq/is-there-a-wireless-siren-for-the-2gig-gocontrol.
Just wondering, If some breaks into your house and rips the panel off the all or destroys it during the entrance delay, would that mean no signals go through?
+Dean Webster Generally these systems, as well as the Honeywell systems are going to come with protections against "smash and crash." The 2GIG Go!Control is no exception. It works with Alarm.com which provides such protection to anyone with one of these panels.
Hello G, If you follow this video it walks you through enrolling sensors. If your sensor type is not DW10, then it is still the same method but you would activate the specific transmitter you have.
@@freddaniels8259 my main question is do inhave to take the magnet and the sensor over to the controller or can i re program all the sensors from where they are all over the house. This system was already installed when we moved in but we didnt know the passcode so my wife reset the controller but also in doing so unregistered all the sensors.
Circuit Breaker, though there should be a plug somewhere, it just may not be obvious (there has to be a step-down transformer.) Is the battery plugged in but dead?
Ok...let me back up. For starters, you shouldn't have to do anything after a power outage, the system should just come back up, in the event that power was out long enough to drain the battery and cause it to power down in the first place. Exactly which panel do you have?
No, we don't have that video now but we can add it to out list of videos to make. Are you trying to integrate a Z-Wave water flow valve? If so, we usually recommend the Fortrezz WV-01.
Usually a disarm of the panel will do. If you cant just do a disarm. Arm the panel then disarm and it should clear if resolved. Email with any further questions.

Did you have to reset the controller because you wanted to reset the password?
Can you post a video on how to install the 2GIG Wireless Keypad (PAD1). On this system in the video
Thank you so much! I couldn't get the door sensors to work properly after the first few attempts. Turns out I had the loop setting to 1 instead of 2.
Hi, Glad our video was able to help solve your issue.
Thank you for refreshing my memory. I haven't touched a 2 GIG panel in so long. I had forgotten everything about it. Good video. Good job.
Hello...I like it and I have a question? where could i buy the sensor door? Thanks.

Can you do a video on installing the 2gig take (super switch) which converts hardwire zones from a previous alarm system wireless zones
How do I change the language? I bought a house and this system was already installed but I can’t figure out how to change to english
Huge help! Thank you, Sterling!
Very in-depth training. Thank you for this video!

How long do the batteries last on the window sensors?
I had a simplisafe security system, I now have the 2gig. Can I use my simplisafe sensors with this 2gig system? They're wireless
Had issues with tripping motion while sending signals any tips?

how do I enable the configuration button.. Vivint blocked it and now when I hit that button..it says disabled.. see tech support

What is the user code for changing system configuration?
That would be the installer code, the default of which would be 1561.

sorry i got it

We agree, the Go!Control is difficult to program. They did better with the GC3 and GC3e (but inexplicably, not with the GC2e)!
@@AlarmGrid yes the gc3 is more menu driven. The gc2 is menu driven nightmare lol
