Still watching the video, but wanted to agree wholeheartedly: I bought a cheapazoid Conair blow dryer in the late 90s. I still use to this day. They last forever!

Shopping at 5 Below is basically “Read the room”… things that can’t get screwed up too much (phone cases, candy, books, art stuff sometimes, basic toys, discounted name brand beauty/home stuff = OK), anything with electricity is going to be way cheaper and flimsy feeling and is too good to be true.

Bug out bags definitely updated since we moved to a high wildfire area 😅. Best new thing?? Drinking water packaged in pouches. It’s like 8 oz per individual pouches, lasts for years unopened, and I stashed them with our bags and the dogs’ bags. I was so excited. My husband was like “what, it’s water….” - fine, see if I give you my extra pouch when all the water is gone!! 😂😂
I was at 5 below yesterday, and walked out spending a penny. Btw, TJ Maxx has their Valentine merch out already This is getting insane 😭

Sometimes they have great bargains that aren't trash. I bought two full size lava lamps and a glitter lava lamp there for five dollars each. They are plug ins too, which I like since I don't have to replace the batteries or recharge them like the usb ones. They have lasted six years so far. The prices for the exact same ones online are about forty dollars each.
I was a freight manager at 5- Below for 9 year's and unfortunately the company doesn't give any stores proper hour's to run the store correctly. And it's mostly teenagers applying because it's a fun store, the self checkout's are in my opinion the downfall of alot of businesses, A couple would be great for people wanting to check themselves out but we need communication with people and I actually loved my job and interacting with my customers. I left about a year and a half ago and I haven't heard many good comments about the store or products since.
Without you Vivian I wouldn’t even know about five below. I went and found the cutest “fairy” type moon lights and I love them! They have what looks to be a good candy selection.
Y that's all I buy- t-shirts and some of the snacks. None of the products.
I like my 5 Below. I got cute slippers there, toys for my cats and a carrier, and some cute storage baskets. I always browse the candy/snacks section and books.

I have the Buzz Lightyear toy. My son is 8 and autistic... He loves it and mine worked, the battery cover was hard to get to though, but once you got it off and the batteries in, it was perfect for my son.
I thought 5 Below was supposed to be $5.00 & under. Seems like most of the stuff is now $10.00 & up.

Took my son to Five Below for his 10th birthday in August this year. Gave him $40 and he had a freaking blast shopping!!
What a sweet idea! They definitely hit the mark for tweens and teens. My kids are in that range and adore the store.
I went into my local 5 below because of a video of yours that I saw. It was a brand new store, very clean. I was impressed. It was very well stocked. Plenty staff to help. I saw some of the items you had on your video. What impressed me the most was that there five dollar T-shirts were a pretty good quality, and they fit me. I’m regularly a size 2X, 3X. The T-shirts,comfortable.I figured I’d try the lounge pants… comfortable! Pretty roomy!slippers next. I was very satisfied with all of those purchases. I think I’ll go back to get some mugs for friends.
Vivian, you said something about retiring Five Below from your roster of trying products. Is that what happened to a lot of your as seen on tv products that you used to test? I did notice a lot of those products were cheap and crappy. I think a lot of companies now a days are purposely making there products more cheap and flimsy so they can make more money. Its frustrating especially when the prices keep climbing up and up.

I went to 5 below looking for large inflatable Christmas ornaments and was told at one store they are only available at stores that have been remodeled? Well how do we know that???? What a bummer of bad products. Thanks Vivian.

You can go to their website, and see what store has the item you want in stock so you don't waste time going there. You can also just have it shipped home...they don't have free shipping, but they have flat-rate.

For the longest time, I thought Five Below sold winter clothing, until I saw it in your videos. I went in for the first time a week ago to look for that blow up ornament you showed. The store was dirty and grim and full of really junky stuff. I left without purchasing anything.
I thought I was the only one :) I thought it was similar to Burlington Coat Factory until a friend took me there for some silly retail therapy. The shopping experience can vary from store to store, I agree.

The aroma diffuser has that tube with cotton like material inside, you have to let that soak up some water first so it will work..

I did buy their end table that has a built in speaker and I will say, I absolutely love it. The sound is amazing. They also have a canvas print with a speaker in it and that works well also,

I have the exact same diffuser for my daughter's room, she's just love it for the changing lights.
Five below do not allow refunds unless the package is unopened. So the dryer was just originally like that or someone really concealed that it was opened.
It's been a little while, but I purchased some earbuds within the last year or so at 5 Below. I was able to go in and do an exchange. Or maybe they gave me store credit? I'm not 100% sure. But I know I was able to do something since they were defective.

Yeah 5 below is either a flop or a bop. I have some items from there in my room. I got a tiny rug that I use near my cat bed and made a setup there. With a little hanging fake plant thing. I have some other things that aren’t as good quality. But the posters are always good finds, and I like the little magnets and things. I don’t shop often at 5 below though.
That massage thing is funny because I have this place called treasure hunt near me, and it was a 15 dollar day and there was this amazing neck massager that retails around 50-60. It was brand new, nothing wrong with it. All for 15. 😂

I did buy a phone case for my iPhone 11 about 3 years ago I think it was, from Five Below. And believe it or not I’m still using it at this moment. And I think I paid like $2.99 for it. Oh and my daughter and I both bought those little keychain size Whoopie cushions. We had So Much Fun with them! Lol
Other than that though, I still say that Five Below is like WISH. Still Wish I didn’t go there and spend/waste my money… 😒

i have a conair blow dryer i had for more than 10 years and it works wonderful. but i recently bought one similar to the dyson. it wasn't a cheapy though
