I’m with you 100% and I’m an adult male and have always felt that if I need to get around in a foreign country to use local means for transportation. Less stress, less worries and better to avoid headaches down the road.
Great advice. I'm writing lots of comments on 3Days-Noches because I was in Cancun with family 23-31Dec. and I like sharing my observations to help people prepare and plan. Can't wait to visit Mexico again and certainly watch lots of your videos with such great advice! Thank you. The E-gates there were only 4 and two were offline, so it was faster going to the human counter. all the planes arrive at the same time. The wait was 1.5hours and we had only carry-on. Just like the new kiosk they are currently being implemented so depending on the day of travel sometimes they work or don't. Smoking, what is banned is E-cigarettes, Vapes are completely illegal, don't even bother bringing one. Yes traffic, only one highway 307, and it's only two lanes in each direction, if there's an accident it can add hours to your travel. Sun is very strong because Cancun is closer to the equator, this is especially true for us very white Canadians, so many people were burned, even children, even with 100 spf don't lie in the sun, skin cancer is the most common form of cancer. I had a long sleeve spf shirt and an extra large brimmed tilley type hat. My face still got red from the reflection of the sand and water. Getting ready for travel in economy Snacks, dry granola bars, beef jerky, trail mix, gum will all be your friends with long delays and line-ups. Muffin & nut bread also passed the security and was enjoyed on board. Be sure to include some disinfectant wipes also. As mentioned in other comments I prefer paying cash, and don't want to use my card. You can order Pesos at your bank, I bring at least 1000mxp (about $80CAD $60USD) . It's useful for common bus transport like ADO, bus in hoteleria zone and the Colectivo, also advantageous when negotiating with vendors and buying at convenience stores. The shops often exaggerate the price in USD but prefer it, because of the exchange rate.
We used Nacho Tours for transportation to the Vidanta Mayan Palace Riviera Maya. Rolando was a great driver and the price was great $65 US for 4 adults with lots of baggage 🧳.
Thank you so much for watching and giving feedback on them!! We don't get anything for recommending them but we know what its like to be scammed and driving with crazy taxi drivers lol
Thanks for the good info . I’m a veteran traveler to Cancun and surrounding areas since the early 90s and A LOT , has changed. Some for better & some worse . The biggest is this post Covid huge price hike on rooms . Have literally seen hotel rates DOUBLE in most places in the last 3 years , and food and other services too . Bummer , as we aren’t all millionaires in America , lol. Hint … best all around killer deal going to in January… the once famous Hotel Casa Turquesa . A boutique 30 room and art museum on the beach . Faded glory steal !
I’ve got my fingers crossed that the Sargassum stays away for me in April. Thanks for another great travel video. I always spend a lot of time watching content like this pre vacation. Your content has been most helpful
Landed in Cancun yesterday, pretty typical immigration lines and wait. No paperwork to fill our anymore! Golf bags are at luggage claim #1. Lots of traffic south of the airport going north, add extra time getting back to the airport.
Returning to Playa del carmen. Very valid points about renting a car. Going to xcaret parks, cenotes and other beaches, it was cheaper and less stressful renting a car to go where you need to when you want to. Thanks for the video, I'm Returning this summer and didn't know about traffic.
💯agree, first class all the way, I do it same way, book flight then keep checking to see what the upgrade to first class is, I’ve gotten 99 per person to 199 and I feel well worth it
We just came back from Playa Del Carmen via Cancun airport. We saw many car accidents and our driver said it was mostly people that don't live there. So I agree we will never rent a car. In Playa everything was walkable.
Thank you so much for watching!! It’s helpful also to read some of the comments because other travelers add great tips too!! If you have questions ask away!!
I love it!!! I seriously never thought I’d be the one saying it. But we spend money on so many frivolous things when we could be flying first class. I just sent my daughter first class and she was like whaaat ha ha
We rented a Jeep to drive to Playa del Carmen & Tulum back in the day, before they called it Riviera Maya. It was a stick shift & was the only thing available. Only one in our group knew how to drive it. She was pretty pissed when we got back to the hotel zone Cancun from our day trip. We have also been stopped by police in a rental car going into downtown Cancun. They wanted us to pay $60 USon the spot. We talked them down to $40 & they let us go.
Hello, just came back from a 7 days vacation, we rent a car and later a motorbike to move around the city and other cities outside of Cancun, we had NO issues at all.
Pulled over by police driving a rental into downtown Cancun. They demanded $60 US on the spot or they would take our id away! We talked them down to $40! They let us go. Beware! It is dangerous.
Thanks for all the videos you put! Helped us a lot! Any advice for finding places for family of 5? Most of the hotels don’t take more than 4. Some have very expensive suites for families. Thank you.
Hi! Thanks for watching! In my experience I have found it cheaper to get two adjoining rooms! But you can look at Fiesta Americana. Also BeachScape but that’s not all inclusive.
I just got back from Cancun on Friday and the Visitax kiosk was empty. I had already paid the Visitax before I left for my trip but I definitely thought to myself that no one would have known if I didn’t pay it.
I have been Cancún 5 times, May, July, September and October and I only recommended to stay at Krystal Grand/Attitude in hotel zone although it’s not the newest hotel, the location is the best especially for people love staying in the ocean water. The beach is the minimal waves, I stayed in other hotels in hotel zone and I just couldn’t swim at all, the sand and wave are not for swimming.
Great video! I'm tall and I don't like to be cramped or have to contend with someone in front of me who wants to recline their seat in my lap (on my knees). I need leg room. First class for me.
My boyfriend and I have been watching your videos for tips and info on travelling to Cancun, love them! We’re staying at Riu Cancun, would you say we’re in a good location?
Thanks for watching! The beaches are beautiful there because you’re right on Punta Cancun area!! Also near shopping and everything. The resort is I think like a 4 star ish and you’ll have lots of fun!!!
Thank you for watching! I haven’t been in October. But I have been in early November! It’s at the tail end of hurricane season so the weather is hit or miss
Been watching your videos-thanks for all your tips-have been very helpful. We are taking our third trip to Mexico in 3 weeks. Staying in Costa Mujeres at the new Riu Latino-any thoughts.?
Thank you so much for watching!! I haven’t heard much about that one! New resorts always tend to have some kinks to work out but love that it’s new and clean!!

Hi! Thanks so much for your video. Is September a good time to go? We found a pretty good deal for the end of September and I’m seeing mixed reviews especially around the weather. We’re afraid it might be too hot/ humid.
Yes September you will get great deals because it’s in hurricane season. So it’s pretty much always hot there but during that time it’s more rainy etc. which is why the deals are better. But it can also be sunny and perfect
Planning a wedding anniversary with my spouse for February 2024. Any recommendations for an adult only all inclusive resort in Cancun area? Mostly we just want to relax and kick back in the resort so nice amenities are welcome. Something not too far from airport as we don't want to deal with all the traffic issues that lately have become such a headache. Great videos and super informative. Thx. =)
Depending on your budget!! Check out our videos on Le Blanc, Sun Palace and Excellence Playa Mujeres!!! Thanks for watching!!!! Also I heard Live Aqua and Secrets are good in the hotel zone too
Awesome content thanks! Nooooo - don't suggest flying 1st class it's HARD to fly anything else after. Haha Any family friendly all-inclusives you'd recommend in Cancun (or elsewhere)? Traveling with little ones (6 and below). Have fun in Punta Cana. The DR is awesome! Rent a car and go to Cabarete - it's beautiful.
Thank you so much for watching!!! I agree about first class!! The Moon Palace is great but huge!! The Royalton Splash in Cancun just opened and looks fun! We stayed at the Royalton Bavaro in Punta Cana and I always say this would be the PERFECT resort for families with kids under 8. It was one of the first videos I made so it’s a little cringy lol. My cameraman is Dominican so we do it all when we are there ha ha. I appreciate you so much!
Hi! Arrange it ahead of time!! You can contact Nacho Tours via WhatsApp and see if they are available +52 998 231 1398. Also join our FB group. One of our members is going there next week and is going to give us an update!! m.facebook.com/groups/572572378298675/?ref=share&mibextid=SDPelY
Hello! Love the videos :) just had a quick question. Is the FMM from still needed? I see in the website it says they’re not, but I also see people mention e gates require them?
Thanks for watching!! I know it's definitely confusing We didn't fill them out but went through the staffed booth! I think you get a receipt if you go through the gates or something!
@@3Days3Noches oh perfect that makes sense! We might just go through the staffed booth just to be safe :) thanks again for the great videos, probably watched all of your EPM ones and my wife and I are so excited to go🥰
I’ve stayed at the Riu Latino and the Riu Dunamar in Costa Mujeres over the past year in April, October and last August. I noticed some feces floating in the water and a piece on the sand. I googled this and some people have said that it is human whereas some have said that the locals say it is manatees? One article I read said it’s from the sewage system from Isla Mujeres. How do we know for sure what it is? We love to swim in the ocean.
Would you recommend avoiding Cancun in the summer? I am planning my first trip there and am wondering if visiting during the summer months is a good idea or not.
Do you know a transfer service between Playa del Carmen and Cancun? Do hotels usually offer this service? We're traveling and staying a few days in Playa del Carmen and then going to Cancun, but I'm not sure about the best way to move between both cities. Also, about sunscreen I've heard a lot that you need to bring or buy a biodegradable sunscreen for the cenotes or the parks, but I really have no idea how to know what kind of sunscreen to bring. Are there specific brands or ingredients I should/ shouldn't avoid? Thanks for the info
Thanks for watching!! You can contact Nacho tours and see if they are free! Via WhatsApp. +52 998 231 1398. Yes that’s true with the sunscreen. On the excursion we took to Cozumel we couldn’t wear any sunscreen so those spf shirts and hoodies are awesome for that. I would go to trip advisor for the place or resort that you are going to and in the review section there is a search bar and type in sunscreen and see what other travelers have used. Great point for me to do some research and a video on!!
Thank u for great info . My adult son and I flying to Cancun . Looking for 4 / 5 resort all inclusive not in Cancun Please suggest options considering ur comments transport to from airport
Thanks for watching!!! Maybe something in the hotel zone if you don’t mind a busier area? I’ve only been to Sun Palace and Le Blanc there but there’s Royalton Chic, Iberostar and RIU, Paradisus there’s so many! Just make sure to go on Trip Advisor! I’d you don’t care about a good beach there’s the Moon Palace and Haven close to the airport but the beach isn’t great
Is it possible to walk a couple blocks from the airport and catch an Uber because our hotel is Just 15 minutes away from the airport because I tried to transportation companies but they don’t go there probably because it’s too short of a drive and there’s no money to be made
hi, many countries are starting electronic travel authorisations etc like before arrival people need to get or do online authorization from immigration, does mexico have anything like that? it just got me worried. i know fmm forms are gone. anything latest updates?
I love and appreciate travel tips especially having to do with this new year because we are planning to go and I have no idea where to go or start. I have only been to Mexico once and went to Barcelo Maya Colonial my first time and loved Cancun. 🤍
@@3Days3Noches thank you my wife and I enjoy your videos. We have been to Cancun once in 2020 going back in a few days so glad they eliminated the immigration card on the airplanes that was such a pain.
Hello, what are your thoughts on the recent travel advisories to the Riveria Maya area? We've been to Cancun a few times but am concerned about the recent violence in the resort areas.
Hi! I totally understand your concerns!! However if you pay attention these advisories are always heightened at Spring Break and summer travel. We have done several videos about the safety in Mexico fusing our trips which I will link. But at the end of the day you have to feel good and if you are nervous at all it won’t be a fun vacation. Hotel Zone Cancun | Is it Safe? ruclips.net/video/k4jLKmsqpRg/видео.html
She assumes we all stay in resorts. Im going to Cancun and the Riviera Maya 3 times this year, 6 weeks total. Staying over 3 weeks on two different islands. Staying in the Hotel zone. Staying In Playa. I am not once staying in a resort. Going to Mexico doesnt automatically mean staying in a resort.
You are so right! Yes my channel Is more for the resort goers and I mention that in my videos too. So many beautiful ways to experience Mexico. There are a ton of bloggers out there that show they perspective too
@@3Days3Noches thank you for replying! I have a couple more questions. Is Live Aqua a good resort? How soon should we reach out to nacho and their team if we’re going in November? Sorry if you already answered in your video
Yes! Live Aqua is supposedly amazing and on our list. I don’t think they have balconies in the rooms though. I could be wrong! I would schedule Nacho now!! Thanks for watching!!
what did nacho tours charge you for trip to your hotel? I just asked him for quote to take my family of 6 from airport and go 12 miles 20 minutes for 70 us dollars one way 140 for round trip! that is WAY TOO MUCH!
Actually that’s sounds like a very good price for private transport! It all depends on where you are going and what time. Usually it’s like $50-60 just for 2 one way. If you are looking for a budget friendly option maybe try shared transportation or the ADO bus
@3 Days 3 Noches next question. My wife and I are planning a trip to Ventus Ha at Marina El Cid. Have you ever stayed there? do you have any suggestions? We are going from April 1st through the 8th.
We have not!!! Omg that so exciting!! Every traveler is so different and there are so many resorts!! What’s most important to you? Budget? Beach ? Food??
@3 Days 3 Noches 1st trip to Cancun! We are going for the experience! We are a little strange (we don't drink alcohol) we really want to have fun, relax, eat good food, meet people, see things. Oh and most importantly we booked our transportation with Nacho. Even after finding out the resort will transport one way. We love your videos!
Staying up near Isla Mujeres in a few weeks and have been checking the traffic to and from the airport the last few weeks and it hasn’t seemed too bad. Have you guys stayed up that way recently, and if so how was the traffic? Thanks for the info!
Thank you so much for watching!!! The traffic to the ferry stop will depend on the day and time you arrive. Where are you staying??? So excited for you!
@@3Days3Noches we are staying at the Excellence Playa Mujeres, unsure if we will ferry over to the isla or not yet, just trying to prepare for our travel to and from the airport!
Considering it for upcoming trip. Going to Cancun, would you recommend left or right side of aircraft for best views of the area? Would rather see ocean than jungle
Car Rental comments: I’ve been to Cancun 14 times and have rented cars to go up to Isla Blanca. Every single time I was stopped by Mexican law enforcement (not traffic cops) and told I was speeding when in fact I was not. I was bribed every time north of Cancun. Costing me $75-100 USD each time. So I would NOT recommend renting a vehicle in Mexico as the police corruption has gotten worse over the years. They look for tourist car rentals and pull you over. This is fact from experience.
An important thing to note is how low speed limits are in Mexico. Not to say this isn't also due to corruption but many areas in Mexico have speed limits as low as 30km per hour. For anyone used to driving in the US this will be ridiculously slow and following the flow of faster traffic is only more likely to lead to getting pulled over as a tourist. I do agree its safest for tourists to not rent a car. Still, if you want to, police shaking you down does not necessarily mean you'll be in mortal danger or ever encounter real danger. Just depends on whether your plans necessitate one or not.
Loving your videos. We are going in July and staying at the new Royalton Splash. I have been reading lots of negative reviews and hope those details are resolved by July. Wondering if you have recommendations for excursions?
I personally would not. Cops stop tourists at times and try to get money from them for no reason. Also this can happen. ruclips.net/video/0Kw7APePesM/видео.html
The Sargassum has pushed us away from The Riviera Maya. The uptick in Cartel violence in Quintana Roo has finally put the pin it it forever for us. Found a new island, a new beach and ZERO sargassum. And of course, there is always a chance of violence in Mexico. Cancun all the way to Tulum and beyond, is no longer exempt.
Huge scams on car rentals..they make you buy their insurance and then charge you for missing spare tires that were never there or scratches..video the car inside out as you check in and return it if you rent one.
Ill be going to cancun at the end of march and Im for sure renting a car...they are cheap and I get bored at the resort and there is alot to see other than the resort plus you don't have to spend for taxis which you always run the risk of getting scammed and I don't drink so no danger there and also never give your license to a cop in mexico or any other country...get a photo copy of license to show something and say something like my license is the property of the state you live and I can't give you something that Ive been trusted with that is not my property which is the truth...also always be prepared to give a bribe and negotiate the bribe with all your broken spanish is you know some
Again if you don’t care about the beach then Moon Palace would be good. Email me and I’ll tell you what the member pricing might be. 3days3noches@gmail.com
Oh perfect. Moon palace might be great then. It’s huge but so many activities and good food and drinks. If you want a smaller resort with a fun party vibe I heard Unico 27 is good too
They quote you one price but then double it when you get there. We tried to dispute it with him and he locked all the doors and would t let us out until we paid.
I’m with you 100% and I’m an adult male and have always felt that if I need to get around in a foreign country to use local means for transportation. Less stress, less worries and better to avoid headaches down the road.

Any tips for airport travel to Atelier Play Mujeres? Any other tips for this resort?

We might just go through the staffed booth just to be safe :) thanks again for the great videos, probably watched all of your EPM ones and my wife and I are so excited to go🥰
Awww thank you for watching!!! Yeah it seems the gates still need some kinks worked out
I’ve stayed at the Riu Latino and the Riu Dunamar in Costa Mujeres over the past year in April, October and last August. I noticed some feces floating in the water and a piece on the sand. I googled this and some people have said that it is human whereas some have said that the locals say it is manatees? One article I read said it’s from the sewage system from Isla Mujeres. How do we know for sure what it is? We love to swim in the ocean.
Ugh! Never heard of that before. But probably Human
Would you recommend avoiding Cancun in the summer? I am planning my first trip there and am wondering if visiting during the summer months is a good idea or not.
Well the seaweed can be bad during that time. Punta Cancun is a great area. But generally yes most tourist areas are busier during the summer!
I think you missed one important tip, if you’re flying in and out from cancun airport- we don’t need to fill out the immigration form/tourist card.
I did add that!!! 04:56 in the video :)
I’m going to Akumal Bay in 3 weeks. Any tips? I’d love to go first class but coming from the uk the airlines rinse us already
So fun!! We actually haven’t been up that way but heard it’s very nice!! I can imagine the flights are very expensive!!!
You mentioned Nacho for a private airport transfer. What company is he with?? Also, any videos on Beach Palace? Family vacay planned in May.
Hi! It is his own company!!! You can contact via WhatsApp. We haven’t done Beach Palace yet bc I heard there is a renovation coming soon.
@@3Days3Noches does he have a facebook page or website?
Hey! How is Quintana Roo? This is my 1st Mexico vacay!
Hi! Which resort?
Thank u for great info . My adult son and I flying to Cancun . Looking for 4 / 5 resort all inclusive not in Cancun
Please suggest options considering ur comments transport to from airport
Thanks for watching!!! Maybe something in the hotel zone if you don’t mind a busier area? I’ve only been to Sun Palace and Le Blanc there but there’s Royalton Chic, Iberostar and RIU, Paradisus there’s so many! Just make sure to go on Trip Advisor! I’d you don’t care about a good beach there’s the Moon Palace and Haven close to the airport but the beach isn’t great
@@3Days3Noches Hi there you asked me to send you an email on members pricing moon palace please send your email Id again thank you
What about April? Is that a good month to travel there?
Usually! Sometimes the seaweed has started but weather is nice
Is it possible to walk a couple blocks from the airport and catch an Uber because our hotel is Just 15 minutes away from the airport because I tried to transportation companies but they don’t go there probably because it’s too short of a drive and there’s no money to be made
Really? Did you try Nacho? I’d just have the hotel call me a taxi then
How do you know when the "All inclusive' is actually All Inclusive?
Read the reviews watch YT videos and read fine print on website!
hi, many countries are starting electronic travel authorisations etc like before arrival people need to get or do online authorization from immigration, does mexico have anything like that? it just got me worried. i know fmm forms are gone. anything latest updates?
Mexico doesn’t do anything like that yet. We are going to Dominican Republic and they have that!
I love and appreciate travel tips especially having to do with this new year because we are planning to go and I have no idea where to go or start. I have only been to Mexico once and went to Barcelo Maya Colonial my first time and loved Cancun. 🤍
Awww thank you for watching!!
Hi I’m going April 3rd for my 21st is that a good month to visit ??
Sounds fun! Yes. Depending on where you are staying though there might be seaweed
i heard beaches around northern part of hotel zone dont have as much seaweed or almost non-existent?
Yes! Punta Cancun area. Playa Mujeres and costa Mujeres still get it sometimes
Weather in march ? Decent ? Thank you
Yes!!! Should be very good!!
@@3Days3Noches thank you my wife and I enjoy your videos. We have been to Cancun once in 2020 going back in a few days so glad they eliminated the immigration card on the airplanes that was such a pain.
Thank you so much for watching!! Have a blast!!

Going to Secrets River Resort Cancun 1 adult
Hi you have to contact the transportation companies directly docs.google.com/document/d/1YXSwUMuwYybx1oyT9WdbRAyTcfYvzKC2RRjFyGkd5EM/edit
Yes my channel
Is more for the resort goers and I mention that in my videos too. So many beautiful ways to experience Mexico. There are a ton of bloggers out there that show they perspective too
Hello! Would you say November, early November, is a good time to travel to Cancun?
For the most part. We always go during that time and we have good weather and not so good weather. So it just depends
Hows the weather in October
It depends!! It’s def the rainy season but can have many beautiful days
Cloudy with a chance of Tequila and a hurricane
Omg I love it!!
In the video you say you were going to post the Facebook page for the seagrass etc. I can't find it
Omg so sorry. Just edited the description to include it but it’s Facebook.com/redsargazo
Thank you for watching!! That’s not strange. Your smart lol
We land Thursday late afternoon and leave Tuesday
Oh!!! Yay!!! Yes it will just depend on time and day!!
So you might get a little traffic going to the resort bc of rush hour! Grab a $22 margarita at the hut and it will be a fun ride 😂
Where is that ocean front plunge pool at the 8:10 mark?
Hi!! That’s Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres
Hi, thanks for the information. Do you know if I would get fined for bringing my cigarettes in my luggage from the US?
I don’t believe so! But maybe ask google to make sure!!
Visitax do we need to pay?
I’ve never paid separately. I think the airlines put it in the flight cost
First Class is so nice
The best!
Considering it for upcoming trip. Going to Cancun, would you recommend left or right side of aircraft for best views of the area? Would rather see ocean than jungle
@tonytryhuk3556 it totally depends on where you are approaching from but you’ll see beautiful oceans from the both sides
Thank you! Real experience matters! Since I’ve never actually done it and only was told this is what happens!! Appreciate it a lot!!
I have a trip in 4wks where can you recommend shopping for souvenirs.
Mercado 28 is cool if you are in hotel zone. If not the airport has a ton too
@@3Days3Noches ok great thanks

Any good tips if you lose your internet signal or wifi etc when walking off the resort?
Good question. Maybe use a personal

Sure! I have Verizon and we don’t pay extra in Mexico so I’m able to use my

I'm renting a car, is that a good option?
I personally would not. Cops stop tourists at times and try to get money from them for no reason. Also this can happen. ruclips.net/video/0Kw7APePesM/видео.html
How is the weather in end of may ?
Hi! The weather is usually great then! Starting to get nice and hot! The seaweed is usually the issue between April and August
Which beach and island??? Tell us!!
And what is this wonderful beach?
You didn’t tell us what beach
Huge scams on car rentals..they make you buy their insurance and then charge you for missing spare tires that were never there or scratches..video the car inside out as you check in and return it if you rent one.
Yes!!! Whenever we say not to rent a car it triggers people but it’s true it’s not safe
Ill be going to cancun at the end of march and Im for sure renting a car...they are cheap and I get bored at the resort and there is alot to see other than the resort plus you don't have to spend for taxis which you always run the risk of getting scammed and I don't drink so no danger there and also never give your license to a cop in mexico or any other country...get a photo copy of license to show something and say something like my license is the property of the state you live and I can't give you something that Ive been trusted with that is not my property which is the truth...also always be prepared to give a bribe and negotiate the bribe with all your broken spanish is you know some
Great tips!!! Thank you so much. This will help some people who are brave enough to rent a car!!!
I have a question regarding food. Is it safe to eat a salad at the resort or should you be concerned about how it is washed?
Great question!! I’ve been there over a dozen times and eat 2-3 salads a day and never had an issue but that’s just my personal experience
@3 Days 3 Noches thank you so much!!
