    Teddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just LOVE your reaction. You are absolutely correct in that you will listen to this for the rest of your life. It will never get old and I can attest to that as I'm 71. It's just one of those classics that will live on forever.

    Reminds me of my dad. When I was a kid he had a few tapes in the car that we’d always listen to and Teddy Pendergrass was one of them. Probably where I got my love of soul and RnB from

    Just Jammin's ear for samples is definitely getting sharp!
    I actually had the chance to meet Teddy in his last days when he was parillized. I saw him do a whole show while sitting in a wheel chair. He sounded better than 90% of the artist on the radio at the time!! LEGENDARY!!

    This was back in the day, I had just moved into my new apartment, and I had to go out to my car.
    And there was this song playing from an apartment on ground floor.
    And I just stood there taking it all in...great moment

    Every time I hear this song, it always takes me back to when he had that car accident. Our local radio station played this after they broke the news that he was in a bad car accident. If that hadn't happened, he would have been HELLA BIG! He had what it took. R.I.P. indeed KING.

    Teddy P. made some classics. He was extremely popular in the mid 70's and even though he wasn't as at the height of his popularity when this song came out, he still made it a classic.

    This song is just a fuckin vibe from top to bottom and that's it. I first heard this on a road trip with me parents were driving across the deep south on Christmas even. I will never forget that moment.

    Teddy was So smooth!
    I still have this song on a 45" vinyl record from back in the day. Everyone I knew was flipped out over this song and Teddy's voice. Teddy also made great music with Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes~ some of my faves are: The Love I Lost, If You Don't Know Me by Now, Wake Up Everybody. 👍👍✌

    Teddy Pendergrass was one of the most famous electrifying entertainer during his time; he came from the group (Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes). Women would throw their panties at him on stage while he was performing. lol his concerts were MAD CRAZY!
    Everything went downhill when he had that horrible car accident which tragically paralyzed him from the neck down. I'll never forget that day when it happened... it was so SAD! He was bound to a wheelchair until he died in 2010.

    Loved your reaction to this classic and your appreciation for the Old School songs I grew up with back in the day. This is one of those songs you want to dance with that special someone, and never get tired of it.
    By the way, have you listened to any of the blues greats, e.g. BB King, ZZ Hill, Denise LaSalle, Little Milton, Koko Taylor, John Lee Hooker, or Muddy Waters?

    This is one of my favorite songs, first time I heard it was back in 2005 when it was in the game Indigo Prophecy(PS2) . That game had an amazing selection of tracks, but this one was fire. Teddy is my mans, man.
    You should also check out Teddy's "Wake Up Everybody" track, it's fire too.

    Every time I hear this song, I think about a particularly dramatic scene in the movie “Sugar Hill” starring Wesley Snipes. Won’t spoil if you haven’t seen it yet (would be a great review if so)...If you saw it but don’t recall this song in the flick, go back and rewatch. The record is not in the movie but the SONG is. Watch it and you’ll get it.

    You should react to TP on stage/live Close the door..then you would see the emotions he put into singing his songs. He takes it to another level.!! TP had more sex appeal then the rest of the men on the plant put together and he enjoyed it too.
