Aloha from Colorado! We bought a 3-bed market unit at Kuilei Place. After watching this video, we reached out to the sales office at Kuilei Place asking them about the 2028 completion date…they were unaware of the new completion date. Apparently you have insider information that even sales is unaware of 🤙 Mahalo for the updates!
Wellll….we might have to put up a disclaimer. I heard it from one of my clients under contract. They might be the one with the insider information and I could very well have misspoken. 😬
Thank you for da update!!! I didn't even realize how many buildings are going up. Eye opening. A lot of my friends are wondering what the City is doing with the roads. Pretty sure they are taking care of the pipes to avoid flooding in those areas and no sewer blowups. But the roads are still the same except for lane designs that are totally confusing. What will traffic be like in a couple of years. Might be seeing some one ways maybe. Who knows but they will have to do something. Extra lanes aren't going to happen no more room.
There was a nice condo at One Ala Moana that had views of both the mountains and the ocean that came up for sale a few weeks ago at a really attractive price…basically just higher than the price of a unit that only faced the ocean. I was very interested in it although I don’t plan to move to Hawaii for a few more yrs. However, it did sell quickly due to the low price. Anyway, it seems clear that the Muse played a part in the seller’s motivation to sell quickly. Writing from LA…
Hi, Maila. What kind of utilities does high-rise condo normally use? Is tap water drinkable? Is it possible to find a 2 bedroom condo with less than $500/monthly fee on a half million dollar budget on O'ahu with parking space? (no lease hold property) If not, what kind of property can half a mil get on the island (type of ownership? utilities including sewer?) What do people do with their vehicles if they need to be away for 4-5 months every year? Thank you very much!
I am a local living in tyhe Seattle area. I have been on the mainland since early 1970's. So many locals have moved to the Pacific Northwest. Hawaii has changed so much. A rat race, very high cost of living etc in Hawaii.
Really enjoying your channel. I'm watching from ❄️Denver CO and planning my first visit to Hawaii Dec 2025. I moved earlier this year from Hollywood Beach in SoFlo because I was ready for my next adventure and currently enjoying the nearby mountain experience. It's heartwarming to see the palm trees and crotons in your videos. Looking forward to your upcoming videos and can't wait to experience the 🌴 island lifestyle!
I really don't think any buyers should give developers the benefit of the doubt that new sales will going forwards more accurately price maintenance fees at a sustainable rate. Fact of the matter is there are lawsuits against developers (e.g. Ke Kilohana built by Howard Hughes that saw new maintenance fees soar 53%) and they buried in their contracts disclaimers and verbiage waiving any responsibility for maintenance fee estimates. They also have every monetary incentive to set initial maintenance fees unsustainably low. The safest position is to assume developers are playing games and not accurately setting maintenance fees, so budget into your expected mortgage expenses a sharp rise in the maintenance fee. Be pleasantly surprised if thinks work out. Don't be caught off guard if developers mess up or behaved unethically.
@crbe2159...Most times, it's the politicians that are addicted to the power/prestige of their position...Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely
Can you please do a video on the Property Management corruption and which one is the best? I hear nothing but negativity regarding Hawaiiana and Touchstone. Makes me want to never own a property since you are at their mercy for HOA increases and creating fake invoices to pilfer the HOA funds.
Anticipating massive financial disasters with existing and new condo high rises due to insurance costs and declining demand. Also I don’t expect anything more than a rose tinted assessment from a realtor. Conflict of interest

Watching from Dallas. Thank you for always being up front. One note the background music is pretty loud so it’s distracting as you speak.
Thanks for watching and for the feedback!
Watching from Austin ❤

Love watching your channel. Watching from the island of Alameda, CA. The island that drifted away from the Hawaiian Islands. Ha, ha.
