Good LO throws are not about simply throwing hard. There are 3 spots in the line that jumpers should be able to operate from, and each spot requires a different throwing technique, and this study allows new and experienced, but one-dimensional throwers to learn a very good base. So many things: - the use of other ball shapes to introduce micro-muscle memory is so important to execution through fatigue, and promotes good repetition. - the emphasis on a tight core, but soft knees and relaxed upper torso, is crucial to the same repetition. - the secondary advantage to this pre-throw posture is that you can change your throw without giving anything away. Like a baseball Change Up: same motion as a fast ball, but softer and more movement. - the ability to have this “dance step” motion quietly in your head is the foundation of presence when arriving to the line: it either is an immediate advantage or it leaves no room for doubt on tough day. - this leaves you visually engaged to make adjustments to opposing jumpers if or as needed for sneaky throws. …and so much more.
Thanks so much for the video- I have also watched your videos on tackle confidence and I try to take them into account when I'm playing but I always get scared and don't commit or get bumped and at this point I don't know what to do.
hey thank you for joining the video and for watching the other videos. ok so if you were a coach, what would you say to yourself to help you, to first identify why you are missing the tackles? and also what you can do to help improve this area? let me know in the comments
