I got the chills when I first read the article on the Wikidot/Fandom about this fake exit level. In a way this is way worse than those dangerous Backrooms levels which of course they're frequently terrible and life threatening because of the environment but this one just messes with your mind making you believe it's the real thing but it's not what you think at all.
I would agree with you if it weren’t for the fact that 1, there are other levels which trick you like this that Broogli has actually covered, 2 there are some levels that are much worse such as the void
Imagine no-clipping into the backrooms or whatever whilst on holiday and actually in the airport on the way back. You're on the plane on the way back just like you were supposed to be. Doing everything you were supposed to do. You look out the window and glitches everywhere.

I'm old enough to remember when part of TBR's lore stated "the only way to get back to reality is to believe TBRs *is* your home", something along those lines. Seems like level -399 would be the easiest way to slip back into reality 👍
the ways i know to reliably escape is first being powerfull entity go to the blue channel reach the border between the backrooms create a wormhole second remaked the zenith station open wormhole with first method not possible to be made by humans the blue channel can hide something and second requires either alot of time that you dont have or having the help of a civilitaion like a type 2 civiliation edit atleast at the level of a type 2 civiliaton reimder it for a very veery short time stopped the expansion of the universe
Honestly, this might be my favorite Backrooms Level ever created. It's just so well written and unique, and truly freaks me out. If I were trapped in The Backrooms, this would be the level I'd fear the most, 100%. So happy you did a video on this one, incredible work!
A backrooms series would hit so hard if it ended with the main character finding -399 and spending the rest of his life there even though he knows it’s not the real earth.

do to the nature of this level, and the fact you can spend years in it without even knowing you're still in the backrooms and everything is fake, makes it one of the scariest backrooms for me.
I mean... If I'm trapped anyway, I might as well live in a part that's mostly just real life I'm dead to everyone in the front rooms anyway, I see no harm living in the part of the backrooms that at least pretends to have all the people i care about in it

What if you're born in The Backrooms, and never entered it to begin with? Then where would Level -399 take you? Still reality, or an even weirder version of The Backrooms?
Then the Backrooms becomes your reality that you see as normal, the Earth is just some alternate reality with strange differences that you can't wrap your mind around
It seems that level -399 shows you the real world based on your memories of it, it is possible you could end up in what looks like level zero (or whatever level you were born in), but it is just that level in -399. It won't let you travel that far away from its center
Actually, that level does have an exit from the backrooms and the only thing you have to do is play any video game or arcade since little by little you will feel that you are safe and without realizing it you will be surrounded by real people escaping from the backrooms
theres is one make it dont require on levels blue channel wormhole at the border betwenn the backrooms and the frontrooms or better zenith station making a stable wormhole with ones you take it will take a long the first one will make you power hungry you need to be powerfull enough so you can create the wormhole and defend yourself the second one simple

So if a lot of people were to enter that level at once(assuming thats possible) it'd continuously generate more and more of a Fake Earth based on their memories? Because if so, thats pretty good, more and more people could keep entering it to generate more of their world until we have a second Earth as a safe place for Backrooms people, it may not be home but it'd be a good place to be in, and if the generated people are as friendly as the ones from your memories they could help a lot, specially if they too can leave the level(though I doubt that)

Can you make a video on my Schoolrooms series? Theres more parts to come, but as of right now there are 3 parts. The footage at the end of part 2 is damaged but that is where part 4 takes off. part 3 is weird, you can see the protagonist running down a hallway and no clips into another backrooms level, after he makes his way up one of the stairwells the video ends and he somehow gets back into the original school, (there is a purpose for that). But now on part 4 there will be something completely new and its daytime because the day/night cycle always switches randomly day, night, and time are weird in this series so it's kinda hard to understand it. If you cant make a video on it i understand.
An even worse philosophical analysis of this is that upon noclipping and instantiating this -399 where you're missing will mean there'll always be some world where you're missing and while those copies of people are just copies, they still have consciousness and their own lives and awareness of missing you.
i like that this level seems to mimic floating point errors in real games. these effect literally every game out there and so far as i understand can only be mitigated, not really fixed. floating point errors are why minecraft glitches out after travelling far enough from 0x0 to give us stuff like the Farlands, the algorithm inevitably will break down and result in less reliable and accurate outcomes, and tend sot effect games with procedural generation most. i think the funniest example is how this is also a huge factor behind why Starfield is underwhelming and why modders struggle to work with it to deliver on it's perceived potential- the engine just really sucks when it comes to mitigating floating point errors. anyways, i think it's very clever reference to this very real issue in programming and video games by extension

At the point wherein the monsters can show up, obviously the choice is head back in. You aren't safe! It's no different from any other level, just cruel.
Reality is based on your perspective, and this backrooms level really plays on the mortality of mankind. It would surely be harrowing but it would in many inspire some to think above what they are/who they think they are. I personally (loving a good philosophical dilemma) would find this to be the ultimate test of one's self, for better and worse. In real life we grow from what we experience as well as what we go through, just the same from this level. I am sure that those that go through and make it out of this level would probably improve as a person for having to change their thinking and really double down on answering the question of who they are and what they want to be. No matter where you are or what you go through you will always be you, and this level tests that to an extreme.

Tips to get back to reality if stuck in level -399: -realise your situation -watch dozens of backrooms videos on how to speedrun the backrooms -gather supplies (guns, water, etc) -fly far away -jump into the glitchy holes -follow the guide until you reach another level that also has a rumoured exit and try to escape to ACTUAL reality from there. Since you have experience, it will still be painful but you're better off then when you first entered. • OR, fuck the arcades ass and go round two. If there's a chance that you either go to tihis level or escape reality, then go for it. If you end up here again, -final step, rinse and repeat. Either go for the other options or try your luck again like the king of jackass you are 👑

There is another way (i think). On 399, when you complete the tasks, open the glass doors. Doing this is a guarantee to escape
