To be fair, things did change as he got older. When he started missing out on school for so long and learned he wasn’t gonna graduate with his friends and even his little sister, that was enough for him to change his mind considering that promise was made so long ago. There were some cringe moments in Henry Danger, but these are one of the few Nickelodeon shows that actually become more mature/deep through the seasons!
@talonus202 Perfect example, even though it's not a show, is DanTDM. The dude acknowledged that his audience grows up, and his content became more toned down and more mature. Still pretty kid-friendly, but more teen focused.

Personally I cannot understand why Captain Man didnt see the potential in Captain Danger or some variation. He was supposed to be the Nightwing Nickelodeon didnt deserve 😭

When we make oaths to live by a promise when were young we forget that maturity and time steps in allowing ourselves to see things differently then we did before leaving our past thoughts or Ideals to be left in the past.
Honestly I respect his decision even though I am of the completely different mindset. I view it as I choose to use my life to help others in need. True I can see why most people will say you don’t live your own life but I like the idea of helping out others an being a hero no matter how old I get.
