  • Did you know a pair of Canvaloop jeans uses 99.8% less water than regular denim?
In a pioneering stride towards sustainable fashion, the Surat-based start-up Canvaloop, founded by Shreyans Kokra, is revolutionizing the textile industry with its proprietary technology that transforms hemp and agricultural waste into eco-friendly fibres.
Canvaloop’s proprietary 3-step process converts agricultural waste from banana, pineapple, nettles and hemp into this superfibre that’s bio-degradable, anti-UV, anti-fungal and weather adaptive! With the capacity to process about 80 tonnes of agricultural waste each month, Canvaloop produces approximately 60 tonnes of fibre, which is then woven into clothing by some of the world's leading global brands. A pair of jeans made with Canvaloop fibres wastes 99.8% less water than the traditional 100% cotton denim jeans! Watch how this small start-up is making responsible fashion sustainable and affordable. #OMGIndia #OMGSeason10 #OMGS10 #India #fashion #jeans #water #clothing
