@@HolidayCoachandAutoSales I beg to differ. My company had 8 of these , 4 with the detroit and 4 with the Cat C12. The Cat C12 offered good power through the entire power band where as the Detroit lost out in the lower RPM range. The Cat was a much more driveable engine back then. I will say I enjoyed driving both more than the Volvo in the all Prevost fleet for the company I work for now.
@@thearsenalmisfit2414 Detroit, Cummins, and CAT are all 3 fine engines and each have their pros and cons, but all I know is for some reason a CAT engine will drop resale by about 5-10K and about 75% of people the second you say CAT they are no longer interested. What company do you work for now with all Prevost? The older Prevost coaches only came with the Detroit Seres 60 and the newer ones with the Volvo. My biggest complaint about any new engine is all the emissions issues and sensor issues... Also thanks for watching and commenting. Have a great day and week!
@@HolidayCoachandAutoSales The reason I don't like The Volvo engine is its unreliability. I went 29 year of driving Motorcoaches and got towed home once. We then got stuck woth the Volvos and I got towed home 3 times in 1 1/2 years. 1st Time was a blown 1 year old Turbo, 2nd was a cracked metal coolant pipe and the 3rd was a split furel line on a 5 month old coach. Also had a transmission get stuck in 3rd gear in Northern Alberta between Fort McMurray and Edmonton. We also went through a bad period of have electronic problems that caused us a lot of grief. Things are better now but it left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
I would have to go back to the sale folder and look, but if your in the market check out our current inventory at www.holidaycoachandauto.com We have 20+ coaches in current inventory and are brining more in soon. Reach out and let us know what you are looking for and if we don't have it we will be more than happy to try and locate it for you.
