Paul hit that same 2 trees Joel did on hole 11 and SOMEHOW he gave himself a 50ft look for birdie... sadly he didn't get it but man to hit early TWICE on an almost 1200ft hole and still have a look at birdie?!! He absolutely juiced his 3rd shot though
Hey JomezPro! I’ve noticed a few times the hole intro text box needs to be bigger for holes with a distance of four digits. The foot mark is in the metric distance and it all turns white at the beginning. Was curious if you guys saw this. Hope you get this!
I normally don’t care for the ball golf disc golf courses but this one uses the trees nicely and avoids a lot of the ball golf greens . You can hardly notice it’s a ball golf course for most of the round
HARD agree. Gurthie stan, so I should support the wide open distance competition holes, but the forests just add that variety of shaping shots, low ceilings, and potential for disaster every hole. Great course.
in the doubles practice rounds they had, the designer talks about that a lot. they tried to utilize that space to avoid the ball course and make it a more permanent layout going forward. and there's so many tress out there a couple of the holes are basically woods holes.
I like the fact that even if Isaac hits a tree denying his disc to be parked, he is still just all smiles and there's no visible frustration. And his game doesn't crash with a little setback.
Hes my local pro and anytime I've played on his card or with him and his family I've always played better for simply being in his (their) presence! They're such a happy, humble family!

@@myreviewsareperfect6971 yea I get what you're saying now. I don't see a lot of Joel. so based on what I saw in round 2, he definitely bounced back huge. But makes sense, he did let his emotions get to him toward the end of round 3
Thanks for the coverage, Jomez. Great production and outstanding commentary.. witty and intelligent. I think the players are dealing with the rain really well. Much better than the high winds they've been throwing in. .
This course is great! Big shots but they still have to be shaped nicely, lots of interesting tough shots with trees, hopefully the rain stops tomorrow though and everything is just all green and lush
I totally thought this was the final round 🙈. Now Simon is going to have Paul breathing down his neck tomorrow. But honestly the way Simon is playing, he's tough to beat
When we talk about players who absolutely bomb the disc, we often say AB, Gibson, GG or Lizotte but Joel Freeman absolutely BOMBS man. Sneaky distance.
I just want to say I dont like people saying Simon is in a groove, like its something he cant normally do. Simon had some time off and now is back and this is just normal Simon! Very happy to see it. Commentary is great that just bugs me everytime i hear it.
I feel like Joel could use some help with his psychological approach. The amount of time he spends after the shot staring and asking himself questions really seems like a habit that has the potential to bring your morale down over the course of the match. I think he'd benefit from spending some time with Calvin Heimberg who is a stone cold killer with almost no reaction good or bad. Joel is so good and I think he could become one of the games most dominant champions if he could get his headspace in order.
As can be seen by his social media posts, Joel takes his performance very personally. For better or worse is reflected on his gameplay. I'm not as big a fan of his but only because he exhibits some undesirable characteristics I sometimes see in myself.

Great contrast to track the disc's flight, whom ever is color contrasting the video, I wish they all looked this good. Daylight and sky make it hard to see and fo!low the flights. You caught some great shot play one can readily see. When it's easy to see the shooting star, (the flight) the sport can go far, while drawing from afar.
The beginning of their intro song has Portlandia energy lol so relevant for this event. On another note... This has been such a great and entertaining tournament to watch so far. Great to see McBeth and Gibson, even better to see Simon back, and great to see Double G/Freeman/Robinson show some incredible game... I mean these guys are making some incredible putts, some impressive rollers/drives, and surprising recovery approaches. As always, from all aspects of production, thanks for the top notch Coverage Jomez! 🥏🥏🥏 edit: grammar
This in my opinion is the best course (ball golf or Dg course) on the tour, very beautiful even in the rain and so fun to watch these guys play it. This along with the well designed OTB course makes for what I would easily say is the best stretch of the Pro Tour oh and then there's Milo next haha!!!
Probably not a coincidence that GG is doing well in the first tournament of the year with low wind. His putting style has got to be punished in any wind.

I personally love Golf course Disc Golf courses
I’m sad we don’t get to see eagle and Simon compete but I’m loving seeing Simon on lead card every week
that's okay because we get to see Eagle's face on one of Simon's discs hahaha

He just makes it look casual. 🤓
That's something that Philo has said about Simon for a long time- that if Simon played a bit more controlled he would dominate.

I love to see that positive influence Christ has on him. Extremely edifying.
