Im just returning again to bikes after a few years off. Great to watch these as a revise and remind. The fact that the footage is on board is ace. Just as if riding myself. You can look at road and listen to commentary. But in own mind position yourself. Great. Also the BM sound is making me itch to get back out. They are brilliant machines. C90 looks a hoot as well. Made me chuckle.
If i understand it all correctly. System once learnt should more or less become instinctive and automatic.

There must be dozens of walkers in Cumbria wondering why there's an affable bloke riding around on a C90 talking to himself. Loved the series though, Reg - I've got a load from it!

Another useful video Reg. Nice to see the crunch out on the road. It's not the bike, it's the way you ride it. Looking forward to seeing the test video. I regularly use video with my Associates as a learning aid and occasionally they let me use the footage on my channel. It's useful for people to see how their own riding looks and to see what it's like as an Observer. I liked your point in the video about not over doing the slow riding. Assessing the situation (new red, stalled car, etc) is what matters and deciding to actually stop, instead of being a trials rider.

Thanks for taking the time to put this course together. You have not only reinforced what I already knew, but I have picked up some useful additional knowledge 😀😀😀

Another good video to round off the series👍 The horn on the C90 sounds more like an ‘excuse me’ rather than shouting ‘Oi, I’m here🤬’ 😂😂😂 Looking forward to the test video.
Regularly recommend your channel to my Associates (as does the wife for hers in the car👍)
Looking forward to the Masters video as that’s my next challenge.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Catch you in 2023👍👍

Thanks for these videos Reg, they’ve been very helpful!
Is it acceptable to change down a gear without changing speed? Eg if you’ve been riding in 5th on a relatively straight road, but see some corners ahead that you feel 4th would suit better.
    Thanks

Nice little ride over Belmont road and over to Rivington and on to Chorley. The road however looked badly rutted in places and with a lot of standing water to look out for, Your bike is an old moped / scooter and as I now also ride a scooter as I did in the 60's but nowadays you don't get a lot of respect from drivers who believe that being on such a machine you are a youth and that you are also limited to only 30 mph so can only go slow and therefore only get in their way and or hold them up. So they pull out on you. They don't realise that my 300 cc scooter is capable to 80 mph., not that i ever do that speed a of course. Drivers who see 'real bikers' on 'real powerful bikes' sometimes have a different attitude to seeing someone on a mere scooter.
Anyway good ride nice and safe and no overtaking on such a little machine, which is good to note as we don't always have to keep to the speed limit and make faster progress than cars and anything else on the road. Therefore as we are not catching up with cars we don't always have to feel a need to overtake everything in sight and are happier, more content and perhaps safer making progress at a slower pace. .
