Jordan 🇯🇴 | Wadi Rum | Al Sultana Luxury Camp | Bedouin Experience

The landscape in Wadi Rum is breathtaking. The mountain and rock formations are magnificent to look at. The golden tinge when the afternoon sun hits the rugged peaks is jaw-dropping. Current residents in the area are mostly Bedouins. It was once inhabited by Nabataeans who left their mark in history in rock drawings. Khazali Canyon is famous for Nabataean etchings featuring animals and humans. Due to time constraints, we didn't get the chance to see this. The jeep safari is not to be missed. The movie Lawrence of Arabia was filmed in Wadi Rum. Other movies like The Martian, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Last Days on Mars, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ... amongst a few, were filmed in Wadi Rum.
We stayed at Al Sultana Luxury Camp. This camp is owned and operated by a Bedouin family from Petra. This camp embraces eco-friendly tourism and offers traditional Bedouin experience. Guests can enjoy traditional Bedouin cuisine. Taste the flavor of Zarb (chicken or goat cooked under the desert sand). The tents are private and en-suite.
We booked via Tourist Israel who then turned us over to the experienced Tourist Jordan team.
