Kayaking in Turkey! The Köprüçay river!

- We booked our flights the day before, scrambled to get packed and ready to fly in-between a session on one of the local rivers and then arrived in Turkey the next day to find way better rivers to kayak on than we ever expected!
The Köprüçay river is very similar to the Åmot in Norway just in a much deeper gorge and with a little bit pushier rapids.
So impressed with Turkey and looking forward to showing you the other rivers we where kayaking on and the high water days!

Why didn't you guys buy and bring along an el cheapo roofrack for standard roof rails, such as on that car?
They go for around 100 euro from stores like Halfords.
Also, where is the clip showing that "must run rapid"? Talking without showing, that's just teasing! ;-P
Cheers mate, honestly, normally the wood rack works great! Just this time Adrian's kayak was being a bit temperamental...
Pays to have wider racks when doing long shuttles with a crew and a lot of the cheap ones I have looked at are pretty narrow.
@@Senders When I was still a poor kayaking student I got a set of used Thule Square bars (200cm long, originally intended for a van, I think) with the connectors off ebay for around 100 euro, a couple of years ago. After the summer and after the skiing holidays, there tend to be a lot of used roof racks for sale for a decent price.
Those still work well for kayaking trips abroad when I can rent a car that has roof rails, although by now they look like I went to war with them.
For my current car (Octavia 4x4 wagon) I tend to go for 175cm wide roof bars that are a tad more refined (and a lot less noisy! ;-P), with locks and an aerodynamic shape.
