Yes, just like regular wire transfers have a fee, converting or sending crypto currencies also has small fees. How much that's going to be depends on a lot of things but it will be only a very small amount that will be deducted from your Pi balance. So it's nothing to worry about.
Pi is not a stock, it's like a currency... imagine USD crashes, you also wouldn't owe the government money it just means your USD would be worth less. Same here, if Pi value crashes it just means that the coins you have a worth less but not that you suddenly owe somebody anything.
Pi is meant to be built on "trusted circles" of people... but almost everyone seems to join using an invitation code they found online rather than from someone they know and can vouch for as being trustworthy. So for that reason I struggle to see how it can build value.
Who invited you is not necessarily that important as you manually decide who you put into your security circle AND if users signed up using their phone number you can add users to your security circle that are not part of your team (haven't been invited by yourself). Besides security circles there are obviously other measures in place like, for example, the mandatory KYC process to verify each users identity and ensure there are no bots in the network. In my opinion it doesn't really matter if you are convinced that Pi will achieve a huge value, simply sign up and push the button every 24 hours. If it turns out as failed or worthless you didn't lose anything and if it proves you wrong you suddenly have a bunch of coins that are worth something.
You already can. There is a "manual" option in the verification dialog that will show you a "pin" and numbers in the US, UK, and a few other countries. Simply send the "pin" via text message (SMS) to any of these numbers and press the "confirm" button to verify your number. If you can't do that for any reason, simply link your Facebook account since only one of the two connections is required and Facebook is automatically verified.

Congrats on your mined Pi coins. The halving doesn't really change anything since all existing users now also receive less coins. If at all, it has a positive effect because it's another argument why people should join now to get coins before it's too late. Btw. in case you missed the notifactions, mining will most likely continue for another year (until phase 3), so even with the halved mining rate that's more than enough time to still get your fair share of coins, especially if you tell your friends and family about Pi as well and have them use your invitation code.
No, you can only use one device, since you can only complete KYC verification for one account. The only way to increase your Pi/hour is by inviting more users and adding 5 people to your security circle.

I agree. Personally, I'd say it's because the people responsible are good with logical thinks but not very creative. I've the same problem ^^ I'm a very talented developer but when it comes to design I can't come up with anything that looks even remotely professional.
I have it on my list, BUT so far they don't have an iOS application so I can only run it in a virtual Android phone. Overall, as you already noticed, it's similar to Pi: - no risk - potential reward It has some differences that force users to be more active or at least to automatically close inactive accounts, but at its core it's more or less the same as Pi. Thanks. We are now already in phase 3 with the enclosed mainnet and many users already have some of their Pi coins available in their wallets. Now it's just about waiting for the rest to complete KYC and for some PI apps to become available to use Pi outside of P2P transactions.

Erst wenn Phase 3 erreicht wird bzw. das mining beendet wird und alle fake accounts samt coins gelöscht werden steht fest wieviele Pi coins überhaupt im Umlauf sind und erst damit wird es möglich sein grobe Schätzungen vorzunehmen. Ich würde daher Quellen die behaupten Pi hätte einen bestimmten Wert als "verdächtig" einstufen und vermutlich allen anderen Informationen auf solchen Seiten auch skeptisch gegenüber stehen.
That's why it's important to either use Facebook for the sign up OR verify your phone number, so you can log in to your existing account once you switch your phone and recover your password if needed.

You sure got things figured out... As mentioned, yes there is a chance that Pi will never achieve a reasonable value but if you are not willing to invest five seconds of your time into something that has the potential to be worth a lot someday than your are just dumb in my opinion. I'm currently looking at around 30,000 Pi coins, so while it's clear that Pi never will achieve the same value as BTC, even if it only achieves $0.10 per coin someday that would already equal $3,000 ... and that's for spending 5 seconds per day to push a button. I'm not counting the time for recording the video(s) because for that I anyway earn around $10 to $15 per 1,000 views.
That's what I say, nothing to lose other than 5 seconds of your time and if Pi gets listed on an exchange in a year or two any amount of Pi coins is pure profit.

Each user can only have one account. There is NO downside for your if the person that invited you is active or not. Just keep mining and make sure that your account is verified.

Yes, but it does NOT increase your main mining rate if you add people that already joined using another invitation code, you'll only get the increase for the first 5 people that you add to your security circle. To add somebody that is already using Pi they need to have signed up with their phone number and you need to have their number saved in your contacts. Then you can use the "+ ADD FROM CONTACTS" button in the security cirlce section to add them.
That's probably the least clickbait video ever considering how many people keep asking daily in the Pi chats: 1⃣ If they can withdraw 2⃣ when they will be able to withdraw 3⃣ and how much Pi will be worth once it reaches phase three. The video answers all those questions and provides people that aren't that familiar with cryptocurrencies some background information as to what will influence the final value of Pi coins.
@TheBlockyInkling that's the problem, if I choose a different title the people that are looking for "how to withdraw" won't find the video. Considering the "target audience" of this video is not people that do their own research and actually spent a few minutes reading the Pi white paper, but those that are impatient and think Pi will make them rich in a week. I get that this approach may annoy some people, but overall I also believe that it's a bigger benefit to Pi as a whole the way it is, because it reaches more people and explains to them why they can't withdraw money now and why it's worth to have patience and keep mining even though there is no immediate financial benefit.
Officially it can't be worth anything until it gets listed on an exchange. Inofficially you can use some of your coins as explained in ruclips.net/video/ajCEGLNLNJo/видео.html already right now.

My thoughts exactly. Considering that we anyway spent some time on our phone every day it doesn't cost me anything to quickly open the Pi app and press that button once per day, but any value the coin might achieve is pure profit.

So at the moment there is absolutely no way to transfer the Pi coins, correct?
In-app transfers between Pi users were enabled in the past for a few users for testing, but are currently not available.
So, real transfers will only be able once Pi reaches phase 3.

Congrats on your mined Pi coins. The halving doesn't really change anything since all existing users now also receive less coins.
If at all, it has a positive effect because it's another argument why people should join now to get coins before it's too late.
Btw. in case you missed the notifactions, mining will most likely continue for another year (until phase 3), so even with the halved mining rate that's more than enough time to still get your fair share of coins, especially if you tell your friends and family about Pi as well and have them use your invitation code.

The only way to increase your Pi/hour is by inviting more users and adding 5 people to your security circle.

You can do it later, you just won't be able to transfer any of your coins until we reach phase three AND you completed the KYC process.

Thanks. We are now already in phase 3 with the enclosed mainnet and many users already have some of their Pi coins available in their wallets.
Now it's just about waiting for the rest to complete KYC and for some PI apps to become available to use Pi outside of P2P transactions.

Keine Ahnung. Allerdings kann ich dir versichern, dass aktuell niemand den Wert pro Coin kennt. Erst wenn Phase 3 erreicht wird bzw. das mining beendet wird und alle fake accounts samt coins gelöscht werden steht fest wieviele Pi coins überhaupt im Umlauf sind und erst damit wird es möglich sein grobe Schätzungen vorzunehmen.
Ich würde daher Quellen die behaupten Pi hätte einen bestimmten Wert als "verdächtig" einstufen und vermutlich allen anderen Informationen auf solchen Seiten auch skeptisch gegenüber stehen.
Das ist alles Scam. Selbst der Admin bei Pi Network sagt es auch immer wieder 😉

That's why it's important to either use Facebook for the sign up OR verify your phone number, so you can log in to your existing account once you switch your phone and recover your password if needed.

You sure got things figured out... As mentioned, yes there is a chance that Pi will never achieve a reasonable value but if you are not willing to invest five seconds of your time into something that has the potential to be worth a lot someday than your are just dumb in my opinion. I'm currently looking at around 30,000 Pi coins, so while it's clear that Pi never will achieve the same value as BTC, even if it only achieves $0.10 per coin someday that would already equal $3,000 ... and that's for spending 5 seconds per day to push a button. I'm not counting the time for recording the video(s) because for that I anyway earn around $10 to $15 per 1,000 views.

Each user can only have one account. There is NO downside for your if the person that invited you is active or not. Just keep mining and make sure that your account is verified.

Yes, but it does NOT increase your main mining rate if you add people that already joined using another invitation code, you'll only get the increase for the first 5 people that you add to your security circle.
To add somebody that is already using Pi they need to have signed up with their phone number and you need to have their number saved in your contacts. Then you can use the "+ ADD FROM CONTACTS" button in the security cirlce section to add them.

@TheBlockyInkling that's the problem, if I choose a different title the people that are looking for "how to withdraw" won't find the video. Considering the "target audience" of this video is not people that do their own research and actually spent a few minutes reading the Pi white paper, but those that are impatient and think Pi will make them rich in a week.
I get that this approach may annoy some people, but overall I also believe that it's a bigger benefit to Pi as a whole the way it is, because it reaches more people and explains to them why they can't withdraw money now and why it's worth to have patience and keep mining even though there is no immediate financial benefit.
