I don’t think I could even name a single Canadian brand.
In my mind, I see celebrity as more of a general universal knowledge and recognition of who they are and why they’re famous for. An influencer is more known in their niche area…for example makeup/style niche, book/literature niche, cooking niche.

I love the format of trying to recreate a specific look while testing products! It’s a fun twist!
To me a celebrity is someone known from traditional media platforms like movies and tv whereas influencers get their game from newer platforms like social media and RUclips. Hope this helps! Love all your channels ❤️
hey girl! I struggled with the Rare Beauty blushes (cuz they're so pigmented!) and the way I got them to work perfectly is, instead of putting the wand directly on my face, i swipe product from the wand onto the back of my hand, then I use a web beauty blender to mush out the product from the back of my hand onto the blender, then i pat it onto my face... it blends like a dream, pigmented but not overwhelming, and stays on all day long (a lot of other blushes wear off on me but this blush with this technique does not!)

Thanks for the technique I will try it. I disliked the blush because I couldn't get it to blend well.
My grandma used to say that "your perfume" is the one that you can't smell but others can. So like your signature scent. Probably so you don't get tired of smelling it all day.

I actually really liked this heavy blush look. Sure it’s not an everyday thing but sometimes you just want to be done up. And I have noticed that since mask mandates have ended I have been crazy excited to break out my bright fun coloured lipsticks and my stickiest/glossiest glosses LOL. It is fun to do the occasion dramatic look again. Oh and your brows were great this vid.
Well I heard that if a perfume can be smelled by others and not yourself...then it is the perfect scent for you, in other words it matches your pheromones naturally

I love the Rare Beauty liquid blushes more than the ones in the pan, and the Fenty highlighters which I have two off, best highlighter duos ever imo. Other brands you could try are maybe Kylie cosmetics and REM beauty?

Rachel's towel-inspired shirt really helped to soak up the excitement she got from the red inside the packaging of that primer.

I really liked this look- would’ve loved a more blinding highlight (per the photo) but the lip and the blush were beautiful!!
Rare blushes are sooo good if you blend them on the back of your hand and then apply it to your cheeks. I loved the colors I’ve bought, but they dry very fast, now I mix it with the rare highlighter and holy cow, amazing glowy blush.
Those liquid blushes! So put 3-4 dabs on the back of your hand, use a dense brush (I like the elf putty primer brush) swirl it around in liquid on your hand and then dab it on. It’s a game changer with the matte Rare Beauty liquid blushes.
As a professional perfume salesperson, for years... If you can smell it on yourself, you to much on...
Your nose gets used to it, so it stops telling your brain stuff happened...
So, that is the way it is suppose to be, when you put perfume on!!

The Selena foundation is my new fave. It is "oily" at first so I give it a good shake and a little goes a long way( as you could tell). My one downside is I find it on my dry skin a little drying. I just hydrate my skin really well before applying and I am ok but that is one downside. I like how it looks like my skin but better too.

I love the Item Beauty concealer and lipgloss! It's sooo good!
I also love the Rare Beauty bronzer stick, and the mascara🙌 but the whole thing about the caps isn't actually true, influencers said it but the brand never did, and they eventually said it wasn't true, the cap was more of an aesthetic thing.
As far as fragrances go, my go to is Philosophy's Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. It's a heavy vanilla scent that I just can't get enough of.
All of the Fresh Cream scents are divine. So yummy and comforting.
I JUST HAD A GREAT IDEA FOR A LOT OF VIDEOS! Rachel, why don’t you do a series where you remake looks that you find unique from online or magazines and see if you can make it with different pr brands or just random one that you close your eyes and draw it out of a bunch of them! Yesssssss people would love that 😊😊

To me a celebrity is anyone that you would see in a mainstream magazine, I think influencers are amazing in their own right, but that’s my opinion on how I differentiate. ❤️

You look so beautiful! You should try the powder blushes from bare minerals. My fav is Golden Gate. It’s a dark peachy and looks so great for our skin colors. (Cool/neutral tones)

I really wish they would come out with very easy opening that caters to people with arthritis and RA cuz I really struggle getting a lot of my make up open and I don’t want to keep it open cuz then bacteria can get into it let alone it dries everything out besides te normal foundation and mascara

Regarding perfume...I have always heard that if you don't smell your perfume after 20 minutes it means that it blends very nice with your own natural scent, if that makes sense.

I also have a love-hate relationship with the Rare Beauty liquid blushes! If I'm not careful enough they tend to look super weird on me. Idk, I just struggle a lot applying them, especially because they are so pigmented and fast drying.
Have you tried the Relica "By the Fireplace" fragrance. I'm obsessed because I LOVE the smell of wood burning and it's like that but with a mild hint of vanilla.

I think that, today, celebrity can mean any person who has garnered attention in their fields. I mean, I believe Bill Gates, or Steve Jobs would be considered celebrities, even though they’re not in the entertainment industry. Thanks to social media, anyone can become famous or infamous. Look at how many “Karens” become notorious, often to their detriment. BTW, your makeup is gorgeous today!

I have heard that Beauty Pie's "Triple Illuminizing Wand" is a great dupe for Charlotte Tillberry's Highlight Wand, but at a much better price and much more product for the price. Would love for you to test this out for us! Love your content and your personality- please keep it up!

A traditional celebrity - is someone who made a career out of performing. Not just performing on stage , film or tv … but also athletic performance (athletes) and you can also be an extremely well known doctor , business or real estate expert and be known as a celebrity too.
Influencers are made from social media - and made a career focused on social media entertainment. And social media itself made social media “ celebrities “ that today we call influencers.

The image at 13:40 is how I learned to do my blush from Raw Beauty Kristi. With a round face and big eyes I find it suits the shape well. I mix in a little bronzer along that w shape, and add a few extra freckles. Always get compliments, so give it a try!

Btw, you can go nose blind with scents you wear. I used to make fragrant homemade soaps. Get some coffee grains and smell those and wait a few minutes and that is supposed to reset your sense of smell and then try to smell it again. It used to work for me. That’s a tip my fragrance guy told me years ago.

You look great as always. But if you want that blush look without 12 layers you need one of those colours that looks like a terrifying bright red so you don’t buy it and instead get another peachy pink. You know how we do that? Rare has a couple. (Love & maybe Greatful). Exhibit A from Nars, Shes Baked or She’s Vibrant from Patrick Ta. Just depends if you want a true vibrant tone or a brickier muted tone. But any of those. Don’t be afraid, just use a light hand!

I’ve tried three different Kim Kardashian fragrances that were labeled as being warm and Woody. Every single one I ended up selling on posh Mark because they just smell like flowers. There’s gardenia in basically everything. And even when there’s not it’s still smells like a bouquet. The last one I tried was in an amber colored bottle and I really thought that that was gonna be the one. It wasn’t. Just smells like your grandma

For celebrity fragrances, you should definitely try and get the Fenty/Rihanna perfume. There are a lot of articles saying the best smelling celebrity is Rihanna and the Fenty perfume is supposed to be amazing.

YOU HAVE TO TRY THE NEW BILLIE EILISH PERFUME!! I love how it smells on me hahaha but I love suuuuper sweet. It smells much more floraly on my daughter, though. The bottle is also a sculpture type of amazing-ness. If you like sweet, you have to try it! I can’t get enough.
