Pure magic. I can’t listen to this track without sobbing. It just taps into things unknown, to raw emotions & wants, and needs, and yearnings, and desperations that we don’t always realize that we have in us. But when we listen to this song, we automatically become aware of them, and what they offer us, and what they can do for us. And Mark is widely regarded as one of the GOATs for a reason. And this was arguably his finest hour. He transcended time & space with this one. My wife who passed away used to listen to this song on repeat when she got sick. And it (and Mark) has gotten me through some brutal times in my life.
*Rory.* Thank you 😊 Knew you'd love and 'get' Lanegan ♥️ It's the rawness and authenticity that make his songs so powerful, I think... tying back to punk. You definitely hear the pain and the 'cry' in his voice. I love songs like this that start simply and then catch you by surprise midway. Punk was his awakening but he came from country roots growing up, and developed eclectic tastes - Gun Club, Joy Division(and New Order), Nick Drake, Kraftwerk, Bee Gees (!), Roxy Music ... So excited about Lanegan day 😊♥️ Thanks again 😊✌️
@@Roryreacts 😁 I thought a long list would last you for awhile so you could just come back to it whenever... and help keep things organized in your flooded email inbox. Wasn't expecting a marathon 😄 Thx for indulging me 🤗 Not even gonna apologize to the Queenies, Zappa heads and O&A squad for monopolizing you today 😄 I know there's a small but mighty contingency of Lanegan fans appreciating this 😁 You're the best 🤗

This is one of my favorite Mark Lanegan songs. A great choice for remembering him today. And I'm looking forward to more.
