The 3 singles released from this new album are not doomy, metallic or heavy, the 1st album was. Their sound has drifted more towards poppy hard rock, akin to a female fronted Ghost. Imo
Why do the digital rock bands get the spotlight these days? When we have a high-quality rock like this in existence, that can easily return rock and roll to it's former Glory.
Because majority of people is not interested in old school rock / hard rock / metal etc. anymore. Luckily rock and roll thrives under ground now. Besides, it's much nicer to go see bands in small clubs than in huge stadiums.
She has a great voice, it's true! This band could be absolutely legendary if they added a bit more of the progressive elements typical of the 60s/70s (with their own spin). But, as is, I thoroughly enjoy this band!
heart's singers Nancy Wilson really kicked ass. I just found this band, I think im more liking the riffs from the guitar players more so than the singer. she's ok, but not heart comparison. I could though compare the guitars to tonni iommi, and putting them in the same sentence id get. she's ok, just not "amazing" she sounds held back a bit imo. EDIT: iommi is from black sabbath. also im not saying she's a bad singer, fits the music. after a few songs she just sounds kinda … idk how to say it. blah? idk.
Johanna inhales a cigarette like no other woman, and spits in the face of defiance. That should be celebrated, and not frowned upon. An amazing video and amazing woman worthy of utmost respect and admiration.
