J-Sol delivers the studio version of his heart wrenching ballad "Bullet In My Heart", a dedication to his late mother.
The 25 year old Londoner wrote the song on his bedroom floor after his mother's funeral in 2015, recalling that it was the fastest song that he ever wrote and was just a letter from him to his mother, never intended for the world to hear.
However after performing the song on X Factor to great acclaim last year and hearing of how many people the song had touched (including judge Louis Tomlinson of One Direction, who commented "This song is everything I’ve wanted to say. You’re a legend"), Sol teamed up with producer AC Burrell (Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, 2 Chainz) to finally record a studio version at Grammy Award winner Diane Warren’s studio.
Upon hearing it, Tyrese commented "this is a powerful record", which might just be the biggest understatement of 2019!

I just lost my mom a couple weeks ago my family burned her remains after my sister offered her life saving money for a funeral without telling us bc it was quicker to them. I never got the chance to call her back before she passed that funeral was gonna be my goodbye but that was snatched away from me too I haven’t been able to find any sort of way to deal with this until I found ur song late one night thinking of her while listing to this is still sad but more peaceful like I’m saying some sort of good bye for now 😔 thank you so much

Oh my God I'm so sorry for your loss I truely understand the level of your pain, see I list my mom July31 2020, she past away in a nursing home in NYC, they took wonderful care of her, it was so hard telling her I had to move down to NC to help my wife take care of her mother who is paralyzed, my mom didn't want me to leave my two sisters said they understand why I had to leave, that was May 2019 that I left. The next YEAR July31 2020 my baby sis called and told me my mom past away I couldn't go to the funeral because of covid19, my heart is crushed, I'm only here holding on because of my daughter, please forgive me for this long message I'm so sorry. I'm devistated, you are in my prayers
