Sucks how the magical aspects of the world from KH1 were never seen again, like the switches that teleport you to lifts, the water surfaces that can be walked on, and the bubbles that move you and also allow you to breathe underwater. The latter ones seemed like a natural part of the world rather than something that could be constructed. As for the Chamber of Repose...it's possible that Aqua's armor could have told Xemnas (Xehanort?) about the location of Castle Oblivion and also given him the idea for the layout of the Chamber of Repose despite him not ever seeing the Chamber of Waking for himself. Perhaps Aqua enchanted her armor with the ability to speak to Xehanort (intended to speak to Terra, really) when she saved Terra from falling into the realm of darkness.
I gotta say the kh2 backdrops have a lot of visual splendor for how basic the area you're allowed to explore are. Also I had no idea people that doubted the castles are the same between games
i've sorta thought that the 'villains vale' might of been from pieces of the castle that were torn off or discarded at some point, presumably built together by pete or mayhaps some rogue heartless, though iḿ not certain when or how.
I liked KH1 Hollow Bastion the most but I like seeing what was expanded in KH2, KH1 was about losing oxygen as you go up higher and higher until you reach the peak, KH2 is about having sore feet from covering so much ground.
The way that I always figured the whole Villain's Vale thing is that it was Maleficent's base for her attack and when the world was on the brink of darkness, it fused itself to the castle. Maleficent's always going on about finding a castle for herself so it sorta makes sense I guess. Explains the Heartless emblem and gears, and the Vale sorta looks cathedral-ish.
So don't know if you mentioned it or if it came to your mind. The Orbs which give you Drive Orbs in the cavern are actually in the color of the Drive Form you need to level to progress the move ability challenge. It starts with red for Valor which gives high jump. Then blue for wisdom with quick run. Yellow for Master with airial dogde and ends with white for Final and glide.
You've got such a calm voice, I tend to just mildly flip between videos while I scroll on a smaller screen and when one of your videos comes on I almost always think "oh hey" as if hearing from a friend 🕊🌿
Just a quick thing, wedge (and Biggs) is a reoccurring character in the final fantasy series who all look different in all games that they appear in. Therefore wedge looking different to the ffvii one is not surprising
I kinda enjoyed exploring Radiant Garden a lot when I was a teen. Although part of me wished that I could see the castle again and see how both the library, main entrance, meeting room of the Disney Villains and the Final Keyhole looked after the events of Kingdom Hearts 1. But I did like the industrial theme of this town which is covered in ice. Plus I kept on getting my ass kicked a lot in that Sephiroth boss fight, but it was worth it to get my hands on that Fenrir Keyblade.
It seems like a missed opportunity to have had KH3’s radiant garden just be a copy paste of BBS. It looks here like they are making a new radiant garden, but the fact that a year later it’s suddenly just completely restored makes little sense. It’s sad to think we could have had a much cooler looking world. If only we were able to explore it anyway in KH3.
The Brazilian fan translation mod of PS2 2FM made the chamber of reposal accessible and put Kingdom Key D in a chest inside, I discovered the area that way
So happy to see this series continue!! Any chance you’d consider doing a comparison of the kh2 heartless and bbs unversed vs final mix color comparison??
i assumed that they rebuilt the castle somewhere else, maybe somewhere with less heartless corruption and those are the remains of the KH1 castle. but the video raised some valid points, for example, they wouldn't need to remove the pipes from the castle if this was the case. basically the confusion comes mostly from giant heartless symbol + not fact checking.
man someone got passive aggressive with me on facebook for calling the castle hollow bastion, so i'm glad to see someone else call the castle that, too lol
Kh1 hollow bastion is seriously the coolest world and that concept art is just incredible.. they butchered it in future games. Radient Garden just looks bad. Even the outside area in BBS is just boring. It's a shame.

Bruh..... no way you just called KH2’s Hollow Bastion “un-magical”
I gotta say the kh2 backdrops have a lot of visual splendor for how basic the area you're allowed to explore are. Also I had no idea people that doubted the castles are the same between games
Yeah I still see it crop up from time to time
i've sorta thought that the 'villains vale' might of been from pieces of the castle that were torn off or discarded at some point, presumably built together by pete or mayhaps some rogue heartless, though iḿ not certain when or how.
I really wish they'd let us go inside the castle in bbs/kh3 to see it as it used to be
I liked KH1 Hollow Bastion the most but I like seeing what was expanded in KH2, KH1 was about losing oxygen as you go up higher and higher until you reach the peak, KH2 is about having sore feet from covering so much ground.
But when the world needed him most... *he returned!*

"Where they keep Kiari when Sora needs motivation" LMAOOOO

Oh I see so they're like Cid
@@NovayonKH that would be correct

Funnily enough, KH 3 proper only takes place around a few weeks/months after KH2. Only Limit Cut has a full year time skip from KH 3.
Yeah that’s what happens when you take that long to release a sequel and have a dozen or so spin offs in the mean time.
Every time I see Ansem in your banner I think he’s holding a wine glass.
now i'm imagining ansem as castlevania-styled dracula for some reason.
This is a surprise. But a welcome one nonetheless.
Wasn’t expecting this, one of my favorite worlds in the whole series 😍 I wish we could’ve seen all of its glory (and more of Twilight Town) in KH3 😒
I love your videos bro!
The Brazilian fan translation mod of PS2 2FM made the chamber of reposal accessible and put Kingdom Key D in a chest inside, I discovered the area that way
You're a real one for attention to detail.
So happy to see this series continue!! Any chance you’d consider doing a comparison of the kh2 heartless and bbs unversed vs final mix color comparison??
Maybe, not decided yet because they're not as big a deal to me as the kh1 ones were
Cavern of remembrance is more of an final area than the world that never was is, in my opinion.
Yesssssssss thank you
Love these videos
I never heard of people mistaking the castle in KH2. Weird.

413min mark was ff7 logo on that yellow planet in merlins house near computer
hell yeah
how are you using NoClip?
noclip.website/
Radiant Garden and Hollow Bastion reminds me of some European towns.
I like the name Hollow Bastion better.
Of course it's the one kept in smash
I wouldn't mind some more no clip. At least for areas that could provide a better view/help with the exploration.
I am it’s been so long I forget are you doing Disney Castle and timeless river has the same video
Wedge is a FF6 and Star Wars reference
Worth noting: Scrooge is born in the 1870s, so he's not a boomer.
K
Bruh, Merlin has a copy of the book of prophecy, lmao!

The fridging joke worked until you explained it.
