Know what? I like this. It's not the old but I'm still listening because IMHO it is still good.
I don't care where this band goes, whether it be Rock or a type of electronic. I love their songs for the meaning of the lyrics and the inspiration behind the words!
They truly are a talented band and I will respect and support them no matter where they take their style of music.

WOW! What a powerful song this is and it really speaks a lot and amen to that their is only 1 name that is Jesus that can bring us back to life and give us brand new life and make the dark turn into light:) I am def. excited for this new album to come out tomorrow so I can grab my copy of it as well :) I have been a big fan of you guys ever since the first album that was self titled and I was glad I got to see you guys last year in concert for the first time on my bday which was awesome and I had a blast:)

This is the first time I hear about this band and they are amazing. I discover them through the Klove station in Pandora. Their Ascend album is really very good.

While Ascend for me was... "meh", I still dig this song here. :D
The lyrics are pretty christian, which isn't a problem. The beat is powerful and the melody is sweet. :D
I really wish there was an instrumental version of this..
I like how people bash on the tone Nine Lashes did with Ascend. I say it's a nice step forward. Bands should experiment with their music, and expect praise and criticizement, but I see a lot of actual HATE because of this. If you don't want to listen to this, then just move forward. I like what the new album has to offer.
+LukaCrush3r96, I think the biggest issue with Rock fans is that most Rock bands today are turning into Pop artists... but, they still label the album and the band's genre as Rock. It is one thing to experiment, but why almost every single Rock band feels the need to put out a or several Pop albums is just starting to get sad. I do not hate this album. I think it is a good album. BUT, it is nothing compared to "Escape," "World We View," and "From Water to War." It is just lacking what made the band so great. I feel this album lacks the edge and energy of its predecessors. I was stoked when I first heard Nine Lashes... now, I am not as eager to hear their newest material, at least nothing like I was when it came to their older music. Again, the bands can do as they wish, and the album is not bad. But, if Rock bands stop turning into Pop bands, Rock fans would not be throwing fits all of the time. Just saying. Lol.

This song along with 'Eyes on You' & 'The Chosen Ones' are the best songs on the album, the other songs are mostly generic, but I'll allow these 3 songs that I mentioned.
I mean I like Never Back Down.
I like their album and new songs, I think it's good to change things up. I like Christian rock but it's not about the rock, it's all about Jesus our Lord and Savior who died on the cross for our sins.

lol the thing is, every religious idiots think that god is behind everything like...oh god gave me talent,god gave to me the strength to go through anything, god made me win the lottery,god helped me achieve my dreams etc... no idiot you've done all that by yourself and your own strength, there is no magical force helping you... its just something that weak people need to believe in because we don't have any answers so we prefer to believe in something that humans invented.

It isnt that its bad. It honestly isnt bad at all. It just isnt nine lashes.. Its a good song but this isnt the Nine lashes weve come to know.

yeah man...what has happened to these bands...three days grace did the same...they had to return to original....Linkin park did the same...but they did smwhat better...but they too came back to rock with hunting party...

+Zombot Hopefully they turn out like Red and heed the wake-up call from their fans, then come back to make the best album of their careers. All three of their first albums were musically brilliant, I hope they recognize that brilliance and compare that to what they've become. It's quite a staggering comparison. It would be such a tragedy to lose such a talented, exceptional band to such mindless, mediocre drivel.
Yeah, there's a band called A Day To Remember who is REALLY good at changing their style a bit so it's not all the same, but still keeping the same genre and theme. That's why I love them so much.
