If this included Criminal Record, it would have been perfect. But still a great box
My thought exactly: WHERE is the Criminal Record? ;) But yes, great!
Criminally under rated.
That's a crime!
For me, Criminal record is the 2nd best of the "prog" years. No party for me. I would even ask for 1984 which is usually underrated (usually because of the "tour")
The Absolute Musical Genius Of All Time!!!!🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼🎼♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ Without A Shadow Of A Doubt!!!!!
Already ordered and waiting…now a little longer, but worth it!
Very cool. I just added original vinyl editions of No Earthly Connection and The Myths and Legends of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table to my collection.
I was just watching a video of a 10-year old boy doing the intro to Firth of Fifth that was fantastic, but sadly comments were disabled. I had wanted to say what a fantastic performance it was, a bit rushed at the end but extraordinary nonetheless. I would love to hear Rick do that piece, especially on a church organ - nudge, nudge, wink, wink...
Oh great, another box set that I can't afford ever in my life. Thanks 😎
EPIC!!! Thanks Rick!
I sincerely hope for those who buy the box that the recordings are substantially better than this video's abysmally lo-fi audio, which raped my ears.
Lisztomania, the movie. That IS everything. (:
Es unos d mis mejores teclados a parte lo viiiiiiii en la Habana cuando vino
And Criminal Record? That's a crime!
Sold Out as of this posting.
Today, May 14,2024 ,14 months after fans paid(£250 or $330-$350) upfront for it and after 7 postponements, "The Prog Years" was finally released. It is apparently now safe to order this product. The ordeal is over.
It looks like the box set already sold out.
Is it any coincidence that the Prog Years also coincided the years of much imbibing and quaffing of numerous brewskis ?
Looks like it is sold out :(
Iit’s already sold out. Apparently as hot as a Taylor Swift ticket.
Sounds amazing but...
I'll believe it when I see it on sale here in the UK! Remember the much anticipated mega CAMEL box set? Still no sign of that one!!
Wow this boxset looks out of this world
Can i have one?
All sold out apparently 😞
Yeah, I want this box, you can do the same with the others works.
I would LOVE an expanded edition like this for Patrick Moraz'' "Story of i" - one of the greatest solo albums by any Yes member! (not sure if he went on a live tour with that album though)
@@louise_rose I understand you well.
@@ricardnavarroluque9800 I first caught the Moraz album when I was thirteen - at a first hearing of the first LP side I was quite confounded by the wild mix of styles and the heavy keyboards (even though I had already heard and liked Relayer), but when I gave it a second listen the next day everything fell into place and I have loved it ever since. A unique record! 💗
Great! @louise_rose... When I was 6 I "stole" a cassette from my father's car that he always played over and over again, because I fell in love with its wonderful music with orchestral and synthetic sounds and wonderful voices, because I wanted and needed to listen to it at home too. This was my introduction to the wonderful music world, I'm talking about Rick Wakeman's 1984, a masterpiece that I still listen with emotion and nostalgy.
@@ricardnavarroluque9800 Yeah, that was early! :) But I first got introduced to Genesis by a girl who would occasionally babysit me and my brother when mum was working really late, or out of town. I was around ten years old when she played some of Trespass and Selling England to us...we were immediately intrigued with the band and that was the start! (later on, my brother borrowed her and her brother's Genesis and Yes albums and recorded some of the songs on them onto cassettes, before we began buying copies of those albums on our own...)
The run of albums that Genesis, Yes and Pink Floyd produced between 1970 and 1977 had an incalculable impact on the way I understand and cherish music, and those three bands (among others) have remained in my heart and soul ever since.
No Criminal Record = No sale….sorry Rick! BIG mistake…..
Whoever Rick has trusted to produce these box sets should be FIRED!
The quadraphonic mixes would be great!
Ive got the Quad vinyl of Six Wives, a JVC 4 Ch Amp and EQ plus the JVC CD-4 demodulator whatever - EVERYTHING EXCEPT a proper 4 Ch Phono Cartridge. well thats the breaks isnt it.
Keyboard King 🎹
The guy is good!
I hope that people like me who pre-ordered for $330 six months ago will finally receive this boxed set in the near future. We trusted Rick's authorized webstore "Rick Wakeman Music Emporium", only to be slapped across the face by a 3 month postponement which was imposed one day before the set's originally intended June 29th release date. So is the boxed set a 24-disc set or a 32-disc set? Yours Truly, Philip Cohen
