This tape image and also some of the tracks on this are exactly from this one house mixtape my cousin gave me in the early 90s and I cannot find some of the tracks. I can sing the vocals but try as I might I cannot find the tape or the tracks! I love this sound!
PLEASE TELL ME THAT SOUND AT ONE MINUTE. i'VE BEEn searching for that EXACT sound. I was raving in 89. Please tell me that sound, the deep pipe boom drum thing. I love that sound
Think its a mash up mate... but the underlying one is SL2 - Djs take control. Then mix of Njoi - Adrenalin. Futrure sound of london (tune name not the band) was before SL2 but cant remember the band name
MaXX ReViVaL By Laurent Logan - MAXXIMUM Electro is a term someone invented somewhere around 2003. Around 1990 1992 there was not much else than house and techno. The split of terms and types started around 1993
If you are referring to what general people called to dance music in those years I can agree with you but the tape is clearly techno. In those days there was already differences in the genres of music, House, Techno, Eurodance, Italo House, etc.
Correction, before 1993 everything, but house that was electronic was called techno by the general populus. Of course there was electro and disco, and others.
What is interesting here is our good taste in music :-) because people that love's and shares videos of music from those days have really good taste! :-) :-) peace my friends ;-)
@@DjNiekey but it's not house - unlike other terms that were used differently in different countries, house was well established in the US and was not really changed much in Europe - house is funky 4 on the floor 115-120bpm, usually 909 style drums, syncopated bass 'standard' minor scale. 1991 was big on italo house (or piano house) which is syncompated pianos strings (very early media records stuff from 1990, and a lot of commercial poppish house of the 90s). Your mix is the breakbeat, faster take on the belgian techno style of the time (belgian techno came from new beat and had the same beat as house but with late 80s belgian new beat elements - hard stab sounds usually sampled and hard analog sounds, 'arabic'/phyregian mode/all over the place disonant scale and chords, with some pianos and string 'breaks' from the mayhem in some parts. 1990/1 injected with a poison is an example of belgian techno as well as Media records from Italy (anticapella 2 231 for example) - and R&S records, and the first album of 2 unlimited as a poppish take on that. The 1992/1993 version of injected with a poison (praga khan) and early prodigy stuff are examples of (breakbeat) hardcore. In the UK it was called hardcore to much confusion as in europe hardcore was referring to mostly gabber. In israel we just called it breakbeat techno. But House in 1991-2 was very well defined worldwide - and it's not that at all. The best examples - hit the decks 1 - Techno ruclips.net/video/lsfWeNV_A5w/видео.html The first song is Get Ready by 2 unlimited that was considered techno at the time but 'twilight zone' would be classic techno. hit the decks 3 - Old skool Hardcore ruclips.net/video/Z2y8kP3wL-I/видео.html Classic early 90s House - ruclips.net/video/ahG3OYILSVU/видео.html
Also House parties are not the same as House. Rave parties also played all sort of styles but 'Rave' became the european term in 1994 to what the UK called 'happy hardcore'. Think Marusha, Dune etc.
Booming bro
Thanks for taking me back to my dancing days!
Very very nice. Now if someone can pop back to 1991 and get me a dove, half a whiz and some green for afters I'll revisit this from the beginning ; )

No one used that term in 1991, I was there!
This is not House!
Before 1993 everything was called house, there were no separate boxes as nowadays music is put in

This is old skool techno and uk old skool hardcore. Not house.
Back in 1992 this was called also house in the netherlands. I was there in that time at those house parties.

In the netherlands it was different at that time.
@@DjNiekey I accept it but weird that the netherland will be different to belgium though
