Sat in the back of his Mercedes 600 ,he had Nina Simone 8 track tapes from memory in the rear tape player lol.....Had no idea he had brought that car from John Lennon. I know who the current owner of TGU 6M is i believe .I understand in `1979 when George sold it on for £200k it went to a Japanese collector, i believe it went to Japan for a while............ .
I have a very old photo taken by my father (who was a massive Beatles fan, so much so i can not stand hearing them any longer). The photo is of an E type jag outside a record shop on New Kings Road in Chelsea. My father was in awe of the car, and only as the owner got in, did he realise that it was George Harrison.
I paid £4625 for that car ,brought from Keith Manning a trader in Woking, in 1974,who i believe took it in from the first owner as a part exchange, Saw it advertised in the Exchange & Mart. He took my John Player Lotus Europa Special in part exchange lol.@@FusionKidd
We can't forget the 1965 Beatles hit : 🎸 🎼🎵🎶 Baby, you can drive my car... Yes, I'm going to be a star... ✨ 🎤 Baby, you can drive my car... 🎵🎶 And maybe I'll love you... 🔊 Beep-beep, beep-beep, yeah ...
George Harrison also had a Rocket, by Gordon Murray, the designer of the McClaren F1. This was an open wheeler for the road with seating for two, one behind the other. A fabulous vehicle. George is sadly missed, he was a great guy.
Be interesting to know if these beauties are still in a garage at Friar Park. Luxury cars definitely held their value much better than the £ in the 1970s. So being a massive petrol head was a good investment 😂
George… the "spiritual" one... who drooled over expensive cars and silly car racing. George… the "spiritual" one... who lived in the biggest house of all of them, a house with 30+ rooms. George… the "spiritual" one... who complained the most about money and taxation.
I can assure you -it is possible to enjoy material objects while maintaining your spirituality. The Concert of Bangladesh was performed way after his lust of the mechanical took root.
What other vehicles do you know of that George Harrison owned? Let us know!

A bicycle. George was photographed in the very early days of the Beatles, driving off in a Herald convertible with Ringo.
George owned one of the first Facel Vega's in the world and owned it for a long time!
All the Beatlles had to to do was give "Big Mal" or Neil their want(s) and it would be delivered

The Ford Anglia was built at the top of Georges road, I seen him in the Aston as a kid, he drove very fast.
George Harrison also had a Rocket, by Gordon Murray, the designer of the McClaren F1. This was an open wheeler for the road with seating for two, one behind the other. A fabulous vehicle. George is sadly missed, he was a great guy.
George Harrison and Eric Clapton shared everything....cars, guitars, women...
sorry to be pedantic Fusion Kidd but the Ferrari Dino is pronounced deano not dyno. It was named after Enzo Ferrari's son.
Jodie Kidd has an excellent car channel called kidd in a sweet shop. In one of her videos she sat in his F1 at a show, still had his custom interior
George Harrison was the most car fanatic of the 4 Beatles.
I think you mean fanatic
It would appear Mr Harrison was the main car aficionado of the Beatles
another cracking upload, thanks
8:12 It’s amazing how in seven short years from 1962 to 1969 the Beatles went from looking 16 to looking 50
Starts with Paul Young asking a question on , 30 April 1964 childrens TV program Roundup
merci pour ce voyage parmi de merveilleuses voitures🐬🐬 Didier ... he was a master of going faster...' 🐼
I did not know any of that. Cool!
I thought it was 'Deeno" not "Dino" as in Dinosaur.
No mention here of his several Facel Vega HK 500s that he owned and were one of his obsessions ; Ringo had at least one as well

Well done.

Love the puns.😊
Be curious what George might have driven as a daily driver in Maui?
Where are they now?
George also owned an Aston DB6 in white.
He must have been a great driver...Only one accident in all those years of driving basically rockets with wheels.
George owned a banned 6 Wheeler F1 car
What about his rocket caar. ??
Imagine no possessions.....wait...
That was Lennon
His Son Danni is so lucky to have them all and drive em he dont need to buy a new car for him Daddy's cars collection is in the Garage
I wish they would show his modern fleet also, instead of just these oldies.
The McLaren and his W126 and W201 Mercedes ARE modern cars .
gosh, sing a few songs buy a few cars and everyone gets their knickers in a knot😂😂😂😂
OMG an an ANGLEBOX. Despite his later excellent taste in cars.
Hare Krsna George ☮️💚🌅🙏🏾
No GM cars? Like a Chevy or Buick?
'almost makes me Proud that Harrison was my 1st guitar hero ... and none of this silly Peace, Love & Hitchhiking nonsense !

Much tripe talked..

its a myth of 130 rooms in the Crackerbox Palace. There were abt 30 in reality
PFFT. He can't be one and the same person? But zero hypocrisy in you I'd bet lol.
@@mtnvalley9298 I am saintly.

So you change the number of rooms to seem more correct? Wattaajackass.
All people own the same when there dead😂
oh my hero was a planet polluter
He owns nothing he's dead
You like stones better?
This is what im waiting George's car collection i hope next is Ringo's car
Ringo famously owned a Facel Vega - billed as the only car ever made in Paris
Ringo had a 190SL W121
@@blueninjasix George had several HK 500s as well , the pair of them were fans
Anglia turned heads did it in 1964 YES the other way round ! Ugly car !🤮🤮
