As a cubs fan here I think you saw what was going on with Wrigley Field the last half decade or so but I really like how you’re transforming the third oldest ballpark in baseball at 58 years old into something that seems brand new. It’s amazing how they would turn a 100 year old ballpark as second oldest in baseball into something modern and I feel like I’m in heaven when I go there. I don’t think they’ll knock down Wrigley Field for another 6 decades. But nice preview for if I go there in the future.
These expansions are great, but there are 2 more things I would do that would make them perfect. The first one would be to add the Monorail that was proposed WAAAAAYYYYY back when Walter O'malley first built Dodger Stadium. For those who don't realize it, Dodger Stadium was very heavily inspired by Disneyland, more specifically Tomorrowland. So the Monorail would be a great fit. Second major expansion? Come on. OUR WORLD SERIES TITLES SHOULD INCREASE TENFOLD
@@ItsScottJones Those are actually different. Those are plans for transportation from Union Station to the stadium grounds. The monorail was actually going to shuttle people around the parking lot, to the ballpark, as well as be transportation to and from Union Station. Plus, as opposed to the gondolas or the Musk tunnel, the monorails would have a higher capacity.
So good. If you're a Dodgers fan, or just live close to Dodger Stadium, please appreciate that we've got a classic Mid-Century stadium, built into a hillside, with owners dedicated to updating the place (not building a new one) without losing the original charm, and unlike a lot of cities they don't have to put up a ballot initiative to ask taxpayers for money. It's such a rare treat. I did not grow up here but have lived here for 17 years, and feel lucky to enjoy Dodger Stadium - it's a fantastically different building than my first experience in 2003, when I came with my own hometown biases, and undying love for the Kansas City Royals (which I still have). I feel lucky to get to enjoy Dodger Stadium. These renovations look absolutely wonderful to compliment the gameday experience while keeping the focus on baseball.
Nice. Cool lil memory from a Chicago White Sox fan. I visited Dodger Stadium the Saturday after the 2017 World Series had ended. You know the story. Anyway, visitors to the fan shop were allowed into the upper tier to view the stadium and its beautiful background landscape. I took a few photos and posted some to my FB account and got a great reaction. On that day, I noticed the inner-field and pitching mound was torn up due to the celebration by the other team just two days before. You know who. Would be nice to see the Dodgers doing that celebrating on the home field and maybe this can be the year ->2020. I bought a few baseballs from the shop to take back home to Illinois. It was a great way to end my last day in LA. Good luck...and watch out, one day you might meet the White Sox as the American League Champs and playing the Dodgers for the World Series!
Glad they’re finally improving the outfield area, those two big speakers looked terrible!! I like what they’re doing, especially the elevators, and the bar facing the bullpen!!! #GoDoyers
@@therealjaystone2344 the yanks will be good, but the almighty Dodgers are just too deep in pitching, hitting, and defense. Trust me when I tell you that I have been wanting a Dodger, and Yankee World Series, and the MLB wants the same. Huge money
ADVENTURES with Christian The Dodgers are far far away from being too deep in pitching. Three years straight we’ve lost big games or series either due to pitching or pitching being a major reason, all 3 years they’ve sat by and done nothing. Now we lost the CY Young runner up, Kershaw is yet another year older, Jansen has fallen off two years straight at least, Maeda is gone. All replaced by David god damn Price. Buehler is great and Kershaw can still get regular season wins but that doesn’t beat the Yankees hitting and doesn’t stack up to their pitching staff now. We just lost to the Nationals and our pitching staff got noticeably worse, yet again. I love the Dodgers but they’ve relied WAY too heavily on regular season stats with their pitching staff. I would’ve thought this WITH Ryu, now we’ve lost him and Maeda and another year of Kershaw degrading. Betts will help to keep the pressure off but I don’t see this team doing anything in the World Series unless something drastically changes in the bullpen. I just wonder how many wasted amazing regular seasons it’ll take before they decide the fan love for Kershaw won’t win a World Series. If we win this year without a change, I’ll happily say I was wrong. Also as great as Betts is, we’re getting him after he dropped from 10 WAR to like 6.3.
Since there’s more time to add more cool moderate stuff because of corona, y’all should add some cool new lighting effects like the ones Atlanta use and firework canons installed all around the stadium like when there is a homerun and a win
