Excellent video! But one question, did they include the most important mini expansion of all: player aids? It's wild to me that this game has so many modules and there are no official player aides. While this is one of my favorite games of all time, it is quite a pain to explain to new players. I imagine these new modules will not help that problem at all lol.
I actually didn't find it too much at all to play with everything. None of these elements are as distracting as the orange temple. I mainly found myself interacting with the new elements when I couldn't find a way to do what I wanted otherwise, and appreciated the potential flexibility! I also appreciated how this expansion makes the more boring action boards much more interesting. These modules aren't as hard to deal with as you might think. The leap from base game to expansion 1 is the tougher one I think.
Thank you for the great video. Do you think the expansions will work in synergy with each other to enable me to do more and more, or will they end up being 'too many options, not enough time'?
I’d beg to differ. The obsidian from this expansion is key. I don’t think I’d play without it. It’s like when they added salt to Concordia. The game is just so much smoother with the wild obsidian. I consider the obsidian and the 7 and 8 boards with integrated unlocks (from late preclassic period) to be patches to the base game.
@@shanerion I can agree with your point about the 7 and 8 boards. Locking is one thing we barely do in the base game and I know those boards would entice us to use them.
I have to say it looks pretty awesome. But yeah the map board is a bit pasted on like the orange temple track. Hmmm
Nice explaination of the modules!!
i guess this is a bit too much extra stuff just for more stuff for me

I'm afraid they didn't :(
Which expansion would you consider your favourite?
I'd say the first one.
Great review mate, could you please do a review
of Mercado de Lisboa? I'm unsure whether to grab a copy :) thanks
Thanks! Mercado de Lisboa should be up within the next week :)
@@ChairmanoftheBoard awesome thank you 😄
Whoa if u add everything in its really overload.
Yes. I would never add everything at once. Far too much.

I personally wouldn't include them all at once for that exact reason.
I play the game quite a bit. Teotihuacan doesn't need any of that.

Is it fully compatible with all of Late Preclassic Period?
Yes :)
