Really? The keyboard seems to be very much attached to the palmrest on this model. Lots of plastic strips holding things together. Even in this video, the keyboard is not removed.
How did you do it? Any tips or video available?

The processor on this laptop is integrated into the motherboard and no upgrades are possible. Not to mention that the 7th gen is not compatible with the rest of the board components.
Could it upgrade the ram up to 16gb on 1slot?

Looking back a year ago, we have improved our tear down videos a lot. We failed to note that the keyboard on this laptop is not a module that can be replaced individually but is a part of the top case also called palmrest. So getting to replace the keyboard will require to do all the steps we've performed in this video. It is a trend where keyboards are no longer 5 minute swap task.

What about the keayboard? I tried to remove it today and its pain in the ass. It has little plastic things holding it to the body and they cant be reattached once removed.
My palmrest has a large crack near the hinge. Is it possible to remove the keyboard from the palmrest on this model ? It looks very tricky or impossible...

Yes, the CPU on this model is integrated and not removable.

How many RAM slot does it have ? I have one and wanna upgrade to 8gb RAM
One memory socket only. You can purchase single 8GB memory stick and that should do it for you.

It will not fit as you need the slim drives for this model.
I facing the battery problem with my vostro 5470. I removed the battery and after then i plugged in again, it's turn out that the battery cannot be detected. It's stated "no battery is detected". I brought new battery it's still said no battery is detected.
When charger is connected without main battery, the led indicator not light on. And even with the battery plugged in, the led indicator still not light on.
I change cmos battery yet the problem still remain.
I did:
1. downgraded and upgraded bios
2. Unplugged all power sources and reset
3. Uninstall Microsoft battery (ac/acpi)
4. Reinstall windows
5. McAfee virus scanning
6. Download and update drivers via dell support.
Yet non is working. The problem can't be solved.
Anyone know how to settle this problem?.

This laptop have the processor soldered onto the motherboard. You can't upgrade or change it within any reasonable means :)
DO YOU KNOW HOW TO UNLOCK THE BIOS PASSWOR OF THIS LAPTOP? HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT.
If you have the purchase recipe you can call Dell and they might be able to assist you with this. If not, you need to purchase one of the unlock services online for BIOS unlock.

There are no schematics for the keyboard that you will need. It is likely just defective conductive layers and will need new keyboard replacement. If you replace the keyboard and then the same issue is present you could use schematics but it will be likely liquid spilled either on the connector or motherboard.
