Neca has had some pretty bad quality control issues as of late my shredder is straight up missing a shoulder pad when I bought it and I’ve been through two ghostface inferno figures first one I got I barely touched it and the leg snapped off and the arm just kept popping off
Damn! I’m sorry that happened. I was almost in shock because this is the first time I’ve experienced this issue with the new ball joint system. Over the years I have had lots of breaks and majority of them have been from NECA. I’ve had a few issues with hasbro before but honestly maybe 2 and one with Mattel. I’ve have at least about a dozen to 15 breaks with NECA. I love their figures especially for what you get for the price the sculpts and paint are amazing but when breaks happen and happen every so often with the same company it just really really sucks. Especially for highly sought after figures.
@ fr I love thier sculptwork it feels like they try so hard to nail the sculpt but leave out joint integrity hopefully they fix it soon cause they make great stuff

Where’s the fun in that I review toys and test them to the limits but in this case it’s standard articulation that the figure should have been able to do
@ that’s cool man, but a veteran Collector such as myself knows that neca’s QC issues has always been an issue across all the licenses they have and only a few have gotten the special treatment.
@LocoLu526 I get what you’re saying but what I’m saying as a veteran collector myself these figures should preform the standard articulation especially with the new ball joint system it should not break. It’s not like it was giving me problems to move the legs into position as I went to put it back down it snapped.
@ I 100% agree it should because we pay for it to be so but once again this is neca and only a handful of full can poses without snapping. Trust me even with my high end figures like hot toys, mafex and Mezcos I have an expectation of perfection. But the good thing is unlike the high end figures you can return it to the store and replace it right away. For mostly all my high end stuff there is a waiting period but it doesn’t happen as often as neca thus I heat up the figures to prevent a possible issue.
The fact that it's almost mandatory to heat up NECA figures to pose them is stupid. We're at a point in action figure technology where putting fail-safes in joints is possible. Why don't they design these figures with this in mind?

This is what scares me about my neca, because I have seen that 1/4 of them are broken, I only need 4 figures to complete the figures of the movie, I have them loose and in a box.

@moescatobotcollects eh, I've been collecting mcfarlane and Neca since they're inception. I never open em like that because of past experiences. I'd recommend warming up the joints by moving em before posing or extreme movements, they get stuck and sometimes pop off because of rapid handling.
@ Believe me I’m aware of breakage and heating them up but in my reviews I like to test my figures. This was a break that should not have happened regardless of heat or not in my opinion.
I think they reused the mold of Leo's angry face of the first film for the SOTO sequel opening scene where they jump in the air to save Keno, so it's good to have two bandana options as the sculpt can be used for both movies
Force them to the limit or they should preform general articulation what I was doing wasn’t forcing in my opinion maybe it looked different on camera. I do have over 100 figs majority of them are NECA and if I feel any give I heat them up. For this case all I was doing was putting the left leg back into place.

Not new been collecting for years. For the new ball joint system in the hips that they have been using I’ve not had to heat anything up. Now I’ve had breaks from arms and legs before from the ratchet system in the legs but it would happen even after heating up the joints. Sometimes things just break dude regardless of heat or not

Cmon boss , there is not much to be made anymore so unless you dnt already have these Dont get them . $65 and shipping is pretty steep for some head sculpts or accesories unless they are pre painted by a homie or something we dont already have . At least we got a part 1 2 pk and a lick ass bike for any1 . These sets are for any1 that missed the 1st releases that are almost 8 to 10 ... I've always wanted to collect the four turtles from the movie. I mostly collect Ghostbusters, but TMNT was my second-favorite movie and cartoon series as a kid. NECA releases an insane amount of Turtles, and it would be impossible for me to try and get them all. So I always wanted the four turtles and a Shredder from the first movie. That would be enough for me. After seeing this, though, I might pass. They aren't cheap, and I would be livid if this happened to me. Is this a common issue with this line? Should I pass on the new ones and try to get the first wave? Any advice from seasoned collectors would be appreciated. Thanks.
Dude I’m telling you these turtles from the 1990 movie are my favorite figures of all time. NECA toys have broken for me in the past but the QC has been loads better. Unfortunately things break sometimes. NECA has been amazing with customer service, at least with my experience with them. They usually will send you replacement parts to fix your figures. Heat the joints with warm to hot water and they will help move the figures better if you feel they are tight. Remember Walmart Exclusive for the movie tmnt figs and they are located in the electronics/collectibles section. At least get the 4 bros and shredder

I don't think the line is dead but we are definitely getting close. I know for sure we still have 2 Paige Turco figures coming at some point. I'm betting we get a vanilla ice as well. I hope we get the chief, but I haven't heard anything about that coming down the line yet.

I was able to get this pack delivered when it was available for 15 min on the Walmart app, now I’m scared to open it… honestly I would just returned it and wait for a re- release on this pack. Hopefully the Nerdzoic shop will get it at some point, he usually gets Walmart exclusives. My sympathies my friend

Comic book stuff is all retailers and arcade is for comic shops and online retailers which I think the arcade line is taking a huge break or went belly up. I’m saying if you’re doing a rerelease make it for the new comers yes, but also make it worth it for the dedicated fans as well one headsculpt and some paint apps is not enough. The new paint on Leo is fantastic and I like the ball joint system for the legs (when it works 😂). New heads and some battle damage on shredders arm where Leo cut him would have been great! A great Easter egg would have been for shredder to have a screaming head sculpt for when he charges at splinter. I would have shit my pants taking that mask off and seeing that!

TBH the shell color in the MOVIE is alot darker even more than the gamestop version so I think they even got the color wrong for them all.....but many blessings getting your toy replaced
First time I've come across this channel. I grew up watching TMNT but I don't own any figures of them. One thing or the other deters me. NECA articulation is why I have stayed away from them. After this video I will continue that practice. That said, I did subscribe to the channel. I found this episode to be not just fun to watch but beneficial to my wallet

Wow! Same thing happened to me..on my first Neca purchase! Which was? Jungle Predator! I went to make a Review?! 😂 Everything 'cool' about it? Worked once!(Than? Fell off..never attached again..on and on!) He didnt make it past anything. The review!? Was 'cancelled' . Cldnt get a refund. Etc. only recently? Did i buy another neca item my first TMNT figure EVER!(Leo as Creature from the black Lagoon') And? I love it. No issues whatsoever! But? Yeas. Neca? As far as i can tell? Very hit and miss😊
Yeah i believe that with the predators for sure. The new ball joint system is great this one was just very brittle I was doing standard articulation too

I know dude and honestly I didn’t even use a lot of force man and this is the first time the ball joint system for the legs has broken on me. I’ve never had to heat up with this new system. Lesson learned

The paint apps are beautiful for Leo shredder is just a lazy throw in unless you haven’t started collecting these guys yet then I understand
Leonardo is the best TMNT. He just is...the others need to wait in line and fight for second place.

we are definitely getting close. I know for sure we still have 2 Paige Turco figures coming at some point. I'm betting we get a vanilla ice as well. I hope we get the chief, but I haven't heard anything about that coming down the line yet.

I was able to get this pack delivered when it was available for 15 min on the Walmart app, now I’m scared to open it… honestly I would just returned it and wait for a re- release on this pack. Hopefully the Nerdzoic shop will get it at some point, he usually gets Walmart exclusives. My sympathies my friend

My movie 1 Leo/Donnie 2 pack came with ball joints but my Raph/Mikey came with the ratchets legs. Sucks that we can’t tell which is a reissue.

@moescatobotcollects Meaning you over stretched it and tried to make it go further than its designed to do. You weren't careful or conscious at all with what you were doing which is why you hear the loud crack when you did it. It would've been fine if you handled it like it wasn't indestructible titanium.

@@sirjorroc8967 Walmart has the deal and license with NECA for the TMNT Movies to be sold exclusively at Walmart. Just like Target has the toon line license. Comic book stuff is all retailers and arcade is for comic shops and online retailers which I think the arcade line is taking a huge break or went belly up.
I’m saying if you’re doing a rerelease make it for the new comers yes, but also make it worth it for the dedicated fans as well one headsculpt and some paint apps is not enough. The new paint on Leo is fantastic and I like the ball joint system for the legs (when it works 😂). New heads and some battle damage on shredders arm where Leo cut him would have been great! A great Easter egg would have been for shredder to have a screaming head sculpt for when he charges at splinter. I would have shit my pants taking that mask off and seeing that!

TBH the shell color in the MOVIE is alot darker even more than the gamestop version so I think they even got the color wrong for them all.....but many blessings getting your toy replaced

First time I've come across this channel. I grew up watching TMNT but I don't own any figures of them. One thing or the other deters me. NECA articulation is why I have stayed away from them. After this video I will continue that practice. That said, I did subscribe to the channel. I found this episode to be not just fun to watch but beneficial to my wallet

Wow! Same thing happened to me..on my first Neca purchase! Which was? Jungle Predator! I went to make a Review?! 😂 Everything 'cool' about it? Worked once!(Than? Fell off..never attached again..on and on!) He didnt make it past anything. The review!? Was 'cancelled' . Cldnt get a refund. Etc. only recently? Did i buy another neca item my first TMNT figure EVER!(Leo as Creature from the black Lagoon') And? I love it. No issues whatsoever! But? Yeas. Neca? As far as i can tell? Very hit and miss😊
Yeah i believe that with the predators for sure. The new ball joint system is great this one was just very brittle I was doing standard articulation too
