After watching this ,i will never ever feel regret of leaving my abusive boyfriend, he still calls me a cheater bcoz i left him and loved a person who always being good to me and cares me like my mother, so i always have a feeling if i betrayed him, but no , i was so clear when i left him and told him clearly that i broked up with him and i dont want to be in his life anymore, still he tried to contact me and always scolds me that i am a cheater to him, but after watching this movie, i felt, what i have done is correct , i left him, and thank God i didn't get married to him, now i am escaped from that hell

Exactly my life , this movie l only dedicated to myself, l was going through this domestic violence, humiliated every single second but finally l stand for myself after losing my baby , inside power of myself suddenly wake up , anyway every single women n men should stand for themselves , every one has power inside themselves , every woman has right to stay their independent life , nice movie

I learnt the word 'provoked' by this movie. I was so little when it was released. I watched it today when I'm sane enough to understand what she had done and what lead her to bear such consequences. It's truly heart wrenching and heart touching both at the same time.

In my family even it can't be said domestic violence it's certainly not peaceful family. Because my parent's broken marriage, i don't trust about marriage. Like in this movie many mothers and sisters defend their sons and brothers instead of helping the victim. It likes giving them another insurance . So first responsibility falls to women. Women should understand and protect themselves. Empathy is something everyone should have.

THEY trap the wife who has not even slapped the husband back , but trying to defend herself in her declining state of mental health --- the entire family exploits the woman. WOMAN NEED TO BE RESPECTED AND KIDS SHOULD NOT BE USED AS PAWNS TO TRAP THE WOMAN .

The last few lines were most important...every mother should teach their sons to respect women..It is a social responsibility of every mother who has male child to raise...please raise them to be protectors and not predators. Teach them to treat and consider women as a human being who deserves same opportunity and respect that they deserve. This can solve such problems to a major extents.

Her films only work with knowledgeable directors like in this biography she convinced she was a punjabi and showcased balanced emotions not like Sarabajit where there was overacting with no connection to character it's was that directors fault who couldn't check because this film proves she can act and portray emotions very well.

It's a British biographical drama directed by Jag Mundhra I have seen it in original version. My parents told me that it's a remake of Tamil movie "47 Natkal". I guess both the movies as great storylines and concepts. Medical student Malaysia.👍🙏
