Some of my early memories of The Pilgrim’s Progress is seeing the Spanish translation of the book in my mother’s library. In recent years, the animated adaptation featuring Kristyn Getty popped up on my feed, and I was captivated. Among my other memories are having watched the Spanish dub of the same film with my mother before she died, and having just listened to the book via audio.
Such an incredible book and so understandable that it was a constant friend to Spurgeon. My daughter calls the LithosKids version the "Danger book" and almost has the book memorized by this point. I need to make it more regular in my reading schedule.
I am a former Muslim. Our LORD JESUS CHRIST SAVED ME BY HIS GRACE AND CHANGED MY STONE HEART TO BE HIS. I was 14 years old by then, and my family called the Islamic government and put me in prison, I was tortured , and the prison guards used my head as their ashtray and did unspeakable things to me as a teenager girl!!! My congregation paid a handsome sum of money to the government, and they let me go , but I could not stop dealing Bibles with people in public places so my Pastor called me to his office one day and told me that I was a danger both for myself and the Church as well and that he had arranged for me to flee my Country! I left my home country, and by then I was only 16 years old.
