Red route on an E-mtb makes it alot more interesting, hitting everything at around 20mph sure makes it alot more fun and around 33mph on the downhill route makes it a quick lap.bonus is you can shoot back up and try it again in a hurry
great video.I went yesterday & had a great time! as a 47 yr old relatively new rider it gave me a good workout. i even had a go at some of the tamer jumps in the bike park. id heard it was quite tame at sherwood pines but have to say I really enjoyed it. cracking sunny day for February too👍
I work at the centreparcs and live near by, if you're staying there you can actually bike 5 mins from the entrance (of centre parcs) and you'll be in the back end of Sherwood pines
Brilliant videos bro. I was looking for such review. I live in Lancashire and I was looking for trails. Your northern trip Answers all of my questions 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mate! It was Zacs birthday today (the youngest sender!) and you dropped this video on it. Made his day. Great opener Jamie, looking forward to the rest of the series. Off to Spain in the morning.....YEAH BOI! 🤣
Having ridden Sherwood Pines as my nearest trail centre for years (over 20) your review is spot on. Tame and chilled but if you attack it really hard it has a fun element. If you diverted and did the "downhill" section you probably missed the best section of the trail. Tornado alley runs parallel to the downhill section and is fun but short. I use the place as a fitness check and a "I don't feel like a peak district navigation type ride today" ride. Really though when you have the Peak District up the road it is difficult to get excited with Sherwood Pines but for beginners it is great. The shop organise a great time trial competition too 👍 Did/are you doing any Peak District riding whilst on tour?
jnadin39 Well said ..... Nothing more to add to that. The original plan was to ride in the Peak District but ended up swapping it for a day on the North York Moors..... A good excuse to go back !! 👌 Any routes you’d recommend for the peaks?
@@MtbTrailHub how long you got? There are tons of classic routes. Cut gate is great if the weather is dry. Any route including potato alley, the beast, lockerbrook/gore's descent and Whinstone Lee Tor around Ladybower. The Hope Valley including Jacobs ladder. Check out my videos on here or "Jonathan Nadin" on Strava and Komoot.... Loads of peak district stuff from chilled to more extreme (though my times aren't always the fastest, I try my best 😂)
JAMMTB71 JAMES ROBERTS peaks are high on the list! Rode there about 3/4 years ago but the weather was nasty and the trail was pretty average .... look forward to finding the good stuff next time
Nice video. I wouldn’t say it’s all weather riding though. I’ve been a few times when it’s wet and that sand absolutely destroys your drivetrain in minutes, it also rides very slow. Just something to bear in mind. 🤙🏻
Randomly I’m going here on Saturday as a novice/amateur rider! Think this will be perfect for me to start. Might do some of the jumps as well not the steep ones though. Will put my ride on my channel. Hopefully I don’t crash like last time when I was at my local trail
ruskys adventures Aah nice , So this place will be spot on.... one thing I forgot to mention was too keep an eye out for any little side tracks..... the off piste is meant to be decent👍.
Haha I'm off to lubp tomoz my local go there all time red line in woods is awesome got big jumps and nice flowy trails u can have a break at end of each bit lol 😁 then roll in to next part each section varies so just so u don't kill your self on first run cos there alot of trees just have a slow run first when u go down in woods cos up at top it open and u will be able to see what there
Johnathan Gray Thanks for the heads up, great place .... Did the filming there a few weeks back as was quite surprised at how big some of the hits are there!! 🙌🏼🤙🏼
Is there a map or pin to where the dirt jumps are? Will prob go for a spin when the kids are asleep 🤣 staying at centerparcs so hoping it's a short ride 👍
Haha nice, head to the on site shop and there are maps in there. I’ve heard the dirt jumps have been flattened since the filming of this but can’t guarantee that. ‘Dh’ section is still there Enjoy
Hello. I live in Derby. What is the best way to get there? Are there any bikes for renting? Is it possible to go only for one afternoon? How long is the trail in minutes? Thanks a lot!
Hi Ren, Follow the sat nav to-Postcode: NG21 9JL. Yes you can hire bikes from Sherwood pines cycles (check out my podcast episode to hear more details from the shop owner.) Yeah one afternoon is fine although you could easily spend the day there as there is so much to do. The trail can be done in about 45 mins fast or a few hours at a leisurely pace. Hope that helps, Enjoy your ride!
I'm headed that way this Easter, from the looks of your vid it doesn't appear to be a full on 'RED' seems more Bluey compared to other places i've ridden
They are located next to the marked "DH" trails. It's roughly half way around the red route. Pretty sure you could cut through fire roads to get there quicker. Best thing would be to ask in the shop for the quickest route.
Shameless Quokka Afraid not to be honest, it’s quite flat around those parts. Your best bet would be to head toward the Peak District. Check out trail forks which will help see if there is anything in your area.....www.trailforks.com/region/nottinghamshire/?activitytype=1&z=9.4&lat=53.00458&lon=-0.94069
@@puyuxz3636 yes it is, i agree. The flying mile parallel to the old Eakring road is awesome on a derestricted ebike or on a pedal bike being pulled along at 20mph by my dog.

Rode from Mansfield to Sherwood pines today with my lad. 2 rips around the blue trail.
