God, I started this drama just for Woo Do Hwan and Lee Min Ho so seeing them have such a great relationship is so satisfying. Yeong and Gon’s relationship was honestly the best part of the drama. Yeong’s unwavering loyalty was so heartwarming and your edit captured it perfectly. We honestly need more bromance stories just like this, they’re so underrated.
Totally agree with you, we need more bromance stories like this, can call as 'soulmate', it's really the most beautiful relationship I could think of, so why they so underrated ;_; And thank you so muchhhh for supporting my work aw~
Ven Vid Yes! The entire soulmate concept between friends is extremely underrated and I feel like Kdrama production quality has so much potential with the trope. I also wanted to thank you for your Hwi and Seon-ho edit which introduced me to a hidden gem of a drama.
I'm trying so hard not to cry while watching this but the music makes it even harder...they really had a special bond, connection like two brothers, i'll miss them...
Young immediately going for baby Lee Gon and holding him as he bleeds is the most dramatic and the most powerful thing i've ever seen on a show. Young was the only one who knew how hard it was for Lee Gon to go through that trauma since he saw him crying with all that pain. All those years, like he mentioned, Lee Gon had to live with the pain of seeing his father getting killed by his uncle before his eyes. I dont even mention about his injuries.. It wasnt something that anyone could easily forget so didnt Lee Gon. While watching him you can easily see him holding himself from breaking every each time he remembers about that night. And Young was the only human being to see it, to see how big the trauma was for him and how he couldnt forget even a second of it. That is why their bond was special for me. And Young using his last chance to protect his king and holding&hugging him in the darkest hours, finally being able to be there and save him... You can see how compassionate he was, I bet the fact that he couldnt do anything while Lee Gon was suffering was even a bigger trauma for him.. So finally although he was shot and in pain, he was also relieved and in peace...
i really love the fact that yeong will always be by gon’s side no matter what the challenges are. he will always wait patiently and never hate lee gon . although he he jealous of eunsup’s life, he still like to be by gon’s side🥺
the fact that you use “saturn” as background music, it just multiplied a thousand times of agony for their story. GonYoung is forever in my heart. thank you for making this wonderful yet heartbreaking video.
The moment where Jo Yeong is holding onto little Lee Gon is so special and beautiful, I'm so heart broken that this drama is over. Such a beautiful bond between the two, such amazing acting from Minho and Dowhan 💜
8:00 I cried so hard when I first watched this scene. How Yeong cares for young Lee Gon & the way young Lee Gon holds on to Yeong’s arm as a sign of ‘Thank you for saving my life’ 😭💔 for me, this hits harder than all of Lee Gon & Tae Eul’s scenes in the whole show.
Yessss, the way he protected and hugged the little Gon, I don't know but I think it's beautifully and painfully at the same time, got me so emotional too ;_;
Woo Do Hwan was so under rated in this series. I was amazed that he did two different characters well, but after it being pointed out in another video, he actually did 4 characters. Yeong, Eun Sub, Yeong being Eun Sub and Eun Sub being Yeong, BTW Love the interaction with those two.... best comedy duo! I loved how he loved his King and I know he had to be crushed when he got poisoned. Being in Korea, he accidently dropped his guard. Just his facial expression alone you could feel his pain.
I felt so emotional.. for young his king was everything for him because he wants his king to be happy .. king has gone through so much that he wanted his king to be happy ... Everyone need young in their lives ...
I love how it seems that Lee Gon isn't only Yeong's king but also kinda like a brother or bestfriend. Especially since they've known each other for a long time.
One thing I’ve realized about Lee Gon’s character is that, even though we see his playful side with the ppl he’s close with, he is pretty much an introvert and a serious person. I think he was able to get thru life bcos Yeong, Lady Noh, the prince, and Tae-Eul’s ID. Towards the end, his other self in one of the worlds was a tyrant, bcos he didn’t have these ppl around; he said so himself). I mean watch closely, how he interact with the prime minister. You can see that his character is not someone who smiles lightly to ppl he’s not close to. LMH delivered it soo brilliantly. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Its kind of weird but after watching this edit I watched the hole show in a week The romance didn't make me impressed but their bromance...i loved them, the loyalty of jo young was so trueee Woo do hwan was the only actor in this show that makes me cry and laugh.OMG he's so talented I guess I've to see more from his works.
I think there is one thing that critics failed to see in this work, that all of Kim Eun Sook's writing includes and that's the power of bromances. Those grand entrances(slow motion walks), the humor, the banter, the charisma of both leads and overall how they react to one another's acting. Lol.
I started this drama for woo do hwan and like always he didn’t Frenchfrying DISAPOINT! His acting playing as both YEONG and EUNSUP was so spot on! I WILL NEVER FOR GET THIS SHOW BEACAUSE OF HIM 💞💞💞💞💞💞
The relationship they had is not just King and Royal Guard. They have this true friendship. Espescially Yeon. The moment he said that he wants the King to be happy always. If he wasn't a Royal Guard, I know he will have the same character as Eun Sup, his counterpart. :-)
This edit has made me teary eyed. You just showed real love between brothers not by blood but by loyalty and genuine care for each other. These clips may just be from a fictional drama but it has made me emotional and all the more that I miss them at TKEM. I hope this relationship continues even after the drama ended.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. This editing is really great. You explained Jo Yeong's love to King so well. I'm about to cry. Best kdrama ever. I love Jo Yeong so much...
I think that LMH did pretty good I mean he has shown a lot of feelings in his acting especially when he cried I don't know why there are a lot of people who says that he wasn't good I mean guys truly understand his rule first and then talk
Thank you for this beautiful video. I've watched it so many times and continue to come back. The writer did an exceptional job in creating the poignant storyline, developing a beautiful relationship of love, loyalty, and devotion between the two male leads. The two lead male actors did an exceptional job bringing their characters to life and portraying their very special relationship. And you did an amazing job of appreciating all of the above and picking out the scenes out of hours of footage that would best capture what the writer and actors intended. And, yes, the music is perfect. Thank you for all of your hard work. I will be back.
These two were honestly probably my favorite part of this drama and this is edit really captures their relationship. I love my little ghost ship *cries in bromance*
It was all about Gon's survival, enemy, protection, and love life. And Young, all of his life, did was be loyal, follow his majesty, protect him, and care for him. He wanted his smile. In the end, from his childhood, the protector Gon was searching for was all along by his side, his Young. There was no price for Young's caring for Gon. If any person Gon really trusted or considered a friend was always Young. He of course loved him very much. The writer is just so skilled in writing some best bromance in Kdrama history. This drama was so underrated what is lacking in this drama I really don't know. With this outstanding bromance the drama has romance, action, and thriller even at the end Young's love life is also shown for some moments. Every Character had justified closure for their action. P.S. - if anyone hasn't watched the drama and just seen this FMV, don't assume that this character has died. Very well-edited video. Just so perfect for this great bonding of these two characters.
At first i was so upset knowing Gon left Young in ROK while he's in KOC... during that time, Gon really gone through so much hardship. 1. Especially when he cried alone in the kitchen after he lost his one and only uncle. When his father died, little Gon also had a breakdown, but that time he had Lady Noh and Yeong. And that was the first time Gon's smile risen, and that was because of Yeong. So i was kind of upset when Yeong wasn't there when Gon lost prince Buyeong. 2. Gon fight to saved TaeEul without Yeong. 3. When Gon found out the bookstore where the traitor hide. All of that would be perfect if there was Yeong beside Gon. But in the last episode i finally could see Yeong in the battlefield beside his King. And finally he fulfilled his promise to protect his King, even if that would cost his life. I love them so much... Their bond was more than a king and his guardian...

If only everyone had an Unbreakable Sword that was utterly unyielding and as unflinchingly loyal like Woo Do Hwan-- I honestly believe our entire species would evolve. Their unshakable bond was one of the very core foundations of this series-- what's more, I really loved the end scene in the last episode, when all was said and done, they thoroughly protected one another. Thanks for the upload and reminding me.
My tears would do a better job at showing you how beautiful this video was to me. I can’t describe the rush of feelings that came to me while watching it. Yeong is a guardian angel sent for the king to bear the burdens of the world along with him. He’s not just a royal guard.. he’s his shield in danger, his umbrella in cloudy days, his grounding rock in his darkest moments, and a shoulder he could lean on when he loses balance, mind or body. He really lived on to his nickname through and through. The song gave me the feeling of heartbreak, hardships, and hope along with defeat, utterly perfect for their story. My heart will never heal for I will miss them so much💔

I was not happy with the ending of this kdrama. And there were so many questions unanswered. But I must say it was so lovely to watch the show. It was a whole beautiful journey. I'll never forget this show.
Absolute tear jerker😪. Not sad just watching their friendship in this film is how I would picture them in real life. Two great actors, two best of friends, I enjoy seeing them acting together . Very Touching
OMG THIS IS AWESOME!! It's like you just created a drama in which they both are the main characters. This was pretty sad though...TT . So glad the actual drama didn't end this way.
This vid just put me in all sorts of emotions. Watching the series and then seeing this made me bawl. The best brotherhood/friendship ever. 💕 ty for compiling this vid.
This has got to be one of the best friendship/brother relationship and loyalty between to men I have ever seen in a long time, maybe ever. You would never ever see anything like this in Hollywood, especially today. There is no way a show like this, with this admirable type of relationship between two men, would be portrayed. These two would have to be secret gay lovers, the female lead would treat the king like trash and she would have to be a "strong" woman acting like a man too. This is why I've stopped watching Hollywood movies or shows. Hollywood has completely lost the art of storytelling, which is why they remake everything today.
I am commenting on june 2021....and read all the comments after watching the video.....well ..no words..speechless...every comments worthwhile reading...THE KING....amazing...I watch a piece of it everyday ..
The fact that woo do Hwan who played as yeong and eun seob and he can imitate yeong while being eun seob, made me fall for him. Then I saw him in other dramas mad dog, save me,etc
Very right. I think he’s able to get thru life bcos of them. Towards the end, his other self in one of the world was a dictator, bcos he didn’t have them, (he said so himself). I mean watch closely with his interaction with the prime minister. You can see that his character is not someone who smiles lightly to ppl he’s not close with. LMH delivered it soo brilliantly.

I was not happy with the ending of this kdrama. And there were so many questions unanswered. But I must say it was so lovely to watch the show. It was a whole beautiful journey. I'll never forget this show.
Tell me one thing who was the saviour of him when king was a kid??
My favorite actor Woo Hwan...♥😘 his eyes, hair style, voice😳
Absolute tear jerker😪. Not sad just watching their friendship in this film is how I would picture them in real life. Two great actors, two best of friends, I enjoy seeing them acting together . Very Touching

Adoro ver o Unbreakable Sword atuar. Me encanta.
The last 2 episodes where I have cried the most 😭😭❤️
Happy ending?
OMG THIS IS AWESOME!! It's like you just created a drama in which they both are the main characters. This was pretty sad though...TT . So glad the actual drama didn't end this way.
WOW.. This is making me emotional. BEAUTIFUL...Their, respect, love, since of duty, friendship and brotherhood is so strong and pure.
When Yeong remembers seeing Lee Gon crying and hurted, was too sad 😭😭What a strong bond they had 😭😭
this is honestly the most beautiful thing i have ever watched & tells their story so well!
I dont even know why it's so sad and why im crying when I know their story is beautiful and happy.
Loved your edit. The best part about The King Eternal Monarch was indeed GonYoung. I loved the bromance to bits 😍 ❤
This vid just put me in all sorts of emotions. Watching the series and then seeing this made me bawl. The best brotherhood/friendship ever. 💕 ty for compiling this vid.
Their friendship is so beautiful ..the level of companionship and loyalty and trust this two have ..oof just mindblowing
Couldn't explain about how i miss you so much, see you again ♥️😭
When I saw Yeong is sitting in the hall with blood on face I really could stop my tears.😭
I am literally in tears bc this edit was placed together so amazingly😭✨
I am commenting on june 2021....and read all the comments after watching the video.....well ..no words..speechless...every comments worthwhile reading...THE KING....amazing...I watch a piece of it everyday ..
The fact that woo do Hwan who played as yeong and eun seob and he can imitate yeong while being eun seob, made me fall for him. Then I saw him in other dramas mad dog, save me,etc
Lee gon is literally serious except for ehen hes with tae eul and yeong😂😂
I still cry every time I watch this drama 😭 I love it thank you for this ❤️
This video was beautiful 🥺🥺
