Bob Joncas I guess it’s possible that the other panzershrek that we didn’t see them red-doing was in much better condition and was made able to fire but I reckon you’re right
they could've easily undone the demilling process on this particular kind of weapon, simply because there's no real pressure exerted onto any part of the Panzerschreck. the entire projectile is propelled by rocket fuel, and all the exhaust fumes from the rocket fuel simply go out the back as the warhead is shot out of the launcher, putting no stress on any parts except for the projectile itself. the Germans even tried experiments with a Panzerschreck model made out of compressed cardboard material towards the end of the war because it would essentially function reliably enough as long as the launcher could withstand the heat created by the rocket fuel. the only part that would require a decent bit of effort to restore would be the actual electric ignition system in the grip of the launcher, but even then the materials one would need to manufacture a working replica would be just a steel rod and a spool of electric wire. granted, the scene of the Panzerschreck "blowing up" a boat is almost certainly fabricated, the hollow charge fired by the launcher would yield nowhere near the same kind of explosion they showed in the video and probably would've just made a smokey "poof" in front of the boat and then penetrated its walls (like a shaped charge antitank weapon is supposed to do). but if they're just using it for movies then it would be totally fine for replicating the actual use of the weapon in combat with the help of basic film effects.

@@scharnhorst_42Oh yes, i actually misstyped it, i meant the panzerschrek, which you can tell because it was what the guy was talking about.. ops.. So yeah, it was a copy of the bazooka, nothing else.
Fun fact! The reason for that face shield is so that the person firing didn't get horribly burned by rocket exaust. This is because the rocket of the Panzerschreck didn't burn up all its feul before leaving the tube for about 2 meters. (Unlike its american counterpart "the bazooka") And so if this was a real firing test. The hands and faces of the 2 standing way to close would have been burned to shit by this "rocket"
a good way to tell that this is fake is this - look at this guy here at 6:12 with the camo jacket standing next to the launcher, a panzerschreck has a shield because the projectile still burns when it exits the tube (unlike the american "bazooka" in which the projectile stops burning before it exists the tube) and if it didn't have the shield then the gunner would end up with a burned face and hands. Now the guy stand to the gunners right isn't that far away from the weapon and would've probably got burnt face and maybe hands as well since he's standing where there's no shield.
Even if this was real, it is highly illegal as you can’t own one of these it has to be deactivated. And no one would stand near a rocket launcher if this was real.
Shovel, considering these aren’t Americans then every gun or artillery shoots are fakes, in America you can own one after adding $200 to the price and 6 months to a year of waiting. Oh and ammo doesn’t exist so you can’t even shoot it anyways
that guy over there Basically in the uk you can own any gun or rocket launcher unless you have a section 5 license what is very hard to get you would need a very good reason to have one.
@@suds5866 I'm pretty sure that Bruce, running a company that specialises in restoration of military equipment and loaning said equipment to TV and film productions, has all the relevant licences required under UK law. What’s really funny bout this is first off, the weapon at the start had bumps all over in even after it had been painted, however the one that they “ fired” was completely smooth so it wasn’t even the same one that they had from the start, secondly the EXPLOSION is completely delayed so when they “fired” it, it didn’t even make a noise it was just applied there though editing, and don’t get me started on the frame from when he fired it to the actual projectile if you look carefully at the projectile it looks like it didn’t even travel 5 feet it was likely that they put something else smaller in the barrel which was NOT a rocket, because the explosion from the boat was explosive from the inside not the outside so they put maybe a hand grenade or something they made with a little explosive in the boat, for example like a mortar round hitting a tank on the side, it wouldn’t damage it from All sides it would just mark and chip the side from which the tank was hit. This video is completely fake and phoney and should be taken down.
Although it is definitely a fake charge in the pond I must say that they really did bring that panzerschreck back to life. It would be perfect to use in ww2 movies!
if that were a real panzerschreck there would have been a 2 meter trail of fiery exhaust from the munition after launch that would have severely burned the tree standing next to the weapon they in fact did not bring the weapon back to life nor did they even bother adding the safety mechanism or the sights to the actual weapon meaning if they did try to fire it they would have been way off target
They obviously swapped it for a good one. The one they're firing is extremely smooth and definitely not the one they restored. I hate when programs lie.
I may not be a historian but I can tell the difference between a live fire demo and a staged fire demo. we never see a rocket come out the nozzle of that weapon, just a big puff of smoke out the end. And the rocket launcher they use in the demo looked a lot better shape than the ones that were restored. How staged is this show?
Yeah, the restored one was full of dents from corrosion... and the paintjob looked made by a 3 year old with acrilics.. the one they "fire" was totally smooth and the paintjob was very profesional....i even think the explosion in the lake was actually a miniature XD...
... at when they paint the panzershrekt you can clearly see the damage of the metal... all little potholes in the tube cause by the rust. The one they "fire" however is completely smoot. also, no projectile gets fired from this panzershreck and to top it off, you can clearly see that no grenade hits the boat.
People don’t understand that Germans and many countries that fought in wars have brain cells, fiction films always make a rocket launcher look like it blasts you back extremely hard when fired, a lot of countries took this into account and figured out a way to prevent as much recoil as possible, so although the very small amount of recoil is accurate, I am still unsure if they really fired it, but they got that one detail correct. Many rocket launchers especially modern ones have a system to make them recoil-less to prevent damage to soldiers using it. I have no clue on how the loading procedure works so not sure if that’s accurate, but I do believe it could be realistic. Also I have seen people saying that a reason it could be fake is because the others were standing close but in reality a lot of soldiers when trying to hit a tank would lay around in the tree line so they aren’t spotted and because they are like on the edge of a forest they’d be pretty close to trees with no effect and they would also tend to be close to other people while firing with no effect. The initial shot may make your ears ring if not handled correctly but it didn’t tend to be an issue as many soldiers didn’t have access to or there may not have been protective headphones or anything to protect their hearing from heavy weaponry and just weaponry fire in general. You must also take into account that many soldiers that fired Panzerschrecks would have someone relatively close behind them to assist in loading rockets to make the loading/firing process a lot simpler for them and doesn’t force them to have to readjust positioning on a target. Not saying any of this to seem like the smart guy or defend false videos but would rather say it to get people informed rather than upset because a video may possibly be fake. I do believe it is fake because you can’t give something an wash and paint job and it works automatically, you’d have to fix all the wiring and engineering that went into it, also take into account that the acid bath that was given to wash it may have damaged the mechanisms inside it and I have not seen them go to a certified gun specialist to have it checked for damages. Again not sure if this is all accurate, it’s hard to get any information out of your grandfather that sleeps all day.
While yes, the Panzerschreck that was fired was obviously staged in more then one way, some of you in the comments don't seem to understand that finding ammunition for the AT recoiless launcher that are in working condition is impossible. And on the topic of how an acid bath and paint job wouldn't make it usable, there is always more behind the scene. It's easy to see why this is fake, but not for the reason you might think. Mhmm sure you really fired it. And tell me, where exactly do you get 8.8 Granat 4322 rockets that are LIVE??? Watch actual WWII footage of the RPzB firing and you will see that the blast is much more intense than that puff of smoke at 6:13. Not to mention, if that was a real 8.8 rocket that hit that boat, it would not cause a fireball for these guys to marvel at. It would probably blow a geyser of water thirty feet in the air and make them shit their pants.

I will give that the backblast\out-of-tube burn is dependent on the original rocket..but still, this is obviously BS and just..Wtfs all around.
Isn't the explosive shell supposed to be loaded from the front end due to the stop bump at the back end to line up the electric node at the back end with the shell? If you put the shell in from the back end it wouldn't even sit right Edit: I was incorrect, it was back loaded. Even then It's obviously fake considering it would take a lot of work to restore the electric trigger system by someone trained to do it. Not some random car mechanics

@@lightmetro7508 the schreck is literaly just a tube, a spring, a wire, a metal rod and a sheet of metal clobbered together.
@@Eddneton94 panzerfaust was literally a smaller tune with a fat explosive, and when your enemies use you own weapon *panzerfaust* against you often, you know you created a good weapon
Panzerfaust:
Pros: lighter than panzerschreck, less materials required, just as effective mayne even better, cheap, mass producable
Cons: legit dangerous on both side pointing at the user or target, decreased accuracy since it doesn't fly out a tube, single use
They must think we’re idiots
Of course it's fake, you're not going to fire a rocket out of something that's pitted as hell from being in a swamp, haha.
That was a repectful Boom.
How can they fire the rocket when I see ...
... one of the two ignition wires coming out of the back ...
... whilst hanging loosely in the air?! 6:43
1:05 is it me or do those look like panzerfäust or do they not have a shield on them
The sound is literally from a video game 😂😂
Didn't see it hit the target
WHAT ARE YOU SOING IN MAH PANZERKAMPFWAGEN?!?!?!?
Bravo 👏🏼
german here, would that have been real they all would have severe burns on their arms and faces
im sorry, wasn't the m9 bazooka based on the panzerschreck, not the other way around
FIRE THE PANZERSCHEERCK
-Victor Reznov . Aka the Best cod character
Deadly accurate
This is a Panzerschreck. It schrecks ….boats?!
Can someone tell me in what school did those guys who restored the Panzerschrek study? I think I found what I want to do in my life...
Thia is fake they didnt actually restore it, but if you want to do something like that study physics, chemistry and engineering
5:00 What caliber is "eight-E-eight milla-meetah"?
For all the "not so patient" people out there: 6:12
You're welcome!
This is a Panzerschreck, it shrecks panzers.
Wait whered that shield come from???
getting this out of the box was always a blue ball
Go at 0.25 speed starting at 6:10. At 6:14 pause it. You can see cables leading out of those wooden boxes on the left and if you keep going, you can see the cable getting forced aside but still intact and flailing about. Also, keep in mind, they're in England. I highly doubt the legality of shooting such a thing. Rockets and mortars are prohibited weapons there. Here is the clause:
Section 5(1)(ae) any rocket launcher, or any mortar, for projecting a stabilised missile, other than a launcher or mortar designed for line-throwing or pyrotechnic purposes or as signalling apparatus;

@6:00
That sound has been used in video games
Where can i watch Combat dealers outside great britain?
Kommste aus Deutschland?
@@junkboy9977 Nein, Sweden!
If anyone still even slightly questions if this is real.. 6:12 put it at .25 playback speed (Settings cog -> Playback speed -> .25)
Anyone else that knows a thing or two about the tank FRIGHT.. would have known they were full of shit with that bit about "The first time you'd see it.." A famous weapon, aye..but also famous for that 2 meter out-of-tube burn that makes it relatively easy to spot..if they'd have bothered to even google the thing maybe they'd have even gotten the translated name right.
I will give that the backblast\out-of-tube burn is dependent on the original rocket..but still, this is obviously BS and just..Wtfs all around.
Poor fish
CREW KNOCKED OUT
Mom can I have one for Christmas?
That did not even look slightly realistic!
Where's the bazooka ammo i play at 0.25x and the boat just boom
Isn't the explosive shell supposed to be loaded from the front end due to the stop bump at the back end to line up the electric node at the back end with the shell? If you put the shell in from the back end it wouldn't even sit right
Edit: I was incorrect, it was back loaded. Even then It's obviously fake considering it would take a lot of work to restore the electric trigger system by someone trained to do it. Not some random car mechanics
also they never even bothered to make the firing sequence believable adding some cheep smoke in place of the iconic 2meters of fiery exhaust that the weapon is know for
Nothing even came out of the barrell
if its for movies and hes looking to expand his collection of authentic ww2 pieces, why would you being looking at an actual relic as oppose to a replica? literally dosent make sense if its being used in a movie
Is there any footage anywhere of one of these fireing an actual rocket? Preferably not ww2 footage.
No that would be illegal on basically all around the world
What a bull shit . The reason there is a shield is to protect the shooter from the rocket blast . Look at them they are standing next to the shooter and are not getting burned ....
6:34 is the smoke coming from his nose?
There was tanerite involved
it has nice camoflauge
But if this is an original why does the protective shield not get scorched?
Just another "fake" comment passing through.
U could litterally see where they taped explosives to the boat
panzer schreck = armored nightmare!
Fun fact: you can do a rocket jump with this thing
Who would win?? Exploding boi or big heavy boi
Ur dad boi
*Dimitri!, shoot that Panzercherck!*
No the correct way to say it is
*HANZ USE DASS PANZERSCHRECK UND FEUER AT DER KOMMUNIST PANZER*
Why would you shoot at a panzerschreck
This is a Panzerschreck it schrecks Panzers
when you got blown up by one of these, it was called being schrecked
2 grand!?! That's it?! I've got to get me a couple. Anyone have a hook up on live rockets?
