Hi everyone! Hope you enjoy our attempt at making Halo-Halo, it took us 3 days in total so the video is a bit longer than normal! I hope that’s okay and see you next week for some Adobo 😁
@@JonnyandChloe you made us laugh with your comment... We know you don't know what's the meaning of TANGA... Better check it out for sure you'll be surprise too 😅
Can we appreciate the thought process.. and the time and effort they put into this. (slow clap)(slow clap)(slow clap) Even Filipinos don't make it like that.. too much work. Continue what you doin.! you guys are great..! Plus the lazy gorgeous voice of Chloe lol
I admire food vloggers like you guys who go beyond just trying or tasting a particular food to knowing the history or how a particular food come about. More powers to you guys
i always love how chloe makes things form scratch. i'm so lazy to do so so i absolutely salute her! did i say she's a cooking genius? love love her! ^_^
Im fully amazed that you made the Halo halo from scratch. Unlike other vloggers that only reacts to the food. You seriously made it from the raw ingredients. Great respect for the two of you!
Really love how you exert efforts for making Filipino dishes! I'm a fan of both of you... You're not just reacting but you're making it from scratch! Love from pinoys all over the world! 💓
That's a lot of patience to make your halo-halo, BIG THUMBS UP to you JP and Chloe. Why not invite some friends and let them try Filipino foods and desserts cooked and prepared by you and Chloe.
Thanks Maribelle! It never really felt like a lot of effort because we’re having fun making it and spending time together. It’s easy when you enjoy doing it 😊
What is amazing is that you made your own leche flan, ube halaya and ube ice-cream from the scratch! Your pronunciation of Tagalog words is getting better, Chloe is a good coach!
I SUBSCRIBED! WoW... Everything from scratch. Chloé is AMAZING! And because of that... NO SKIPPING ADS for you guys. Congratulations, I truly impressed 👏
Thank you so much Jeffrey from both Chloe and I - we really do appreciate every single person that subscribes and comments. All the best and thank you again 😊
I'm just so amazed of how much effort and dedication you both have to even get out of your way to make everything from scratch. Like that was soooo commendable. And not to mention trying to be educated not just with the ingredients of the food you make, but even its history and correct pronunciation. Kudos to you both Johnny and Chloe. You just gained an avid subscriber no matter what content you release ☺️
The dedication is admirable. I have not known anyone or even any Filipino that really made pretty much everything from scratch just to try halo-halo. Most of the people just buy it from a store to avoid the hassle.
Wow! Making Leche Flan and Ube Halaya from scratch, then making Ube ice cream from it...processing the other ingredients for sweetening,,,, I admire your dedication. Even us, Filipinos, don't go through that much work for our normal day-to-day halo-halo. We usually just buy the processed ingredients then just mix everything up. Hands up to you guys! Kudos!
This is the best Halo-halo making video I have ever watched! Wow! Fun fact, the HALO-HALO vendors here in our country can make all those ingredient in just 6hours, except the ice cream thing.
It is pretty amazing Chloe makes most of the ingredients from scratch - ube halaya, ube ice cream, leche flan….those are all alot of work!!! And kudos to Johnny’s pronunciation of munggo 👍🏻. Great stuff u guys r alot of fun.
I admire your patience making ingredients from scratch,,hope everything will back into normal. So that you can go here and taste everything. More powers. Love from philippines.
They put so much effort in their videos.. And i really appreciate that... I believe they truly admire Filipino cuisine. And that THEY ARE NOT PINOY BATERS!. Love from thr Philippines and more power to you channel! And also to your relationship🥰🥰
"Halo" means "Mix" in filipino It translates as Mix - Mix But what people also don't explain is that Halo-halo also means "Assorted. Because the dessert is literally assorted ingredients. Halo halo can have anything u want in it, anything u can pull from the cupboard that might taste good when mixed with ingridients. People can sell halo halo everywhere like lemonade stands, and the ingredients can differ per stand. so you can pick which neighbor has the best types of ingredients in them..
Finally decided to subscribe - didn't skip any ads either. I think this channel deserve it. I want to commend the amount of effort you and Chloe put on those foods that you eat + the amazing editing and videography skills as well. I also like the discussions/table talks while eating as well. I hope your channel get more viewers and hopefully you could visit PH soon~ It's halo halo season for us as well. Aside for halo-halo we had Mais-Con-Yelo (it's just corn kernel syrup, milk, shaved ice) And also banana-con-yelo/saging-con-yelo (sugared banana, milk, tapioca and shaved ice) much simpler ingredients than halo halo hehehe BUT REALLY SUPER GLAD FOR THIS CONTENT. I appreciate your efforts really!! 🥰 Love from PH 🇵🇭
Thank you for subscribing Chae and for taking the time out of your day to watch the ads and comment! It means the world to us! We also really appreciate the recommendations and will certainly check them out 😊
With all the food you've been enjoying, you're basically loving our culture. You're most probably gonna have a blast when you visit here. I can feel so much love the people are gonna throw at you. After this pandemic thing though.
I suggest you to try Maja Blanca one of the best Filipino Dessert. Maja blanca is a Filipino dessert that is usually served on holidays or special occasions. It is like a coconut pudding with kernels of corn and milk mixed it🥰😊
Wow I'm filipino but I can't make it from scratch wahahaha. Salute to both of u. The effort ✔️ the passion ✔️ the love for food ✔️ amazing couple ✔️. Definitely I won't skip adds. Love from iloilo Philippines ☺️
kudos on getting the pronunciation correct. you got the munggo right. im quite impressed that both of you made most of the ingredients from scratch. other ingredients usually used in the halohalo is kaong (fruit of the sugar palm tree), sweetened garbanzo beans and sweetened corn kernel. i was told that using fresh fruits, especially those with high water content would dilute the halohalo, though mango probably wont dilute it because its more pulpy than watery.
Quality content from the channel, props for the loads of effort in making each dish. Pinoy-approved 🇵🇭 cooking from the kare-kare to the dinuguan to halo-halo. Great job Jonny & Chloe
I chanced upon your video and i already did the marathon on your channel. I love the effort you always do to attain all your ingredients especilaly here in halo halo, i know you can buy the leche flan, ube halaya nad the ice cream from filipino store but you guys made it from scratch. Kudoa to you and more subs to come from the filipino group. I suggest you make recipes from famous filipino youtubers like panlasang pinoy and chef rv. I love you guys. 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Both of you guys are amazing, I enjoyed watching your vlogs. you're always putting your heart in whatever you're doing.. You have the PUSONG PINOY. My God bless Your channel and more subscribers to have.
Not sure if anyone have mentioned this here before, PI-NI-PIG are glutinous rice that are harvested right before maturity. They are pounded flat, usually in a wooden pestle using wooden mortar. When they are fresh, we eat it as it is: it has some sweetness to it and a bit chewy. Or we mix it with grated coconut, best if young coconut, with a little sugar ang chilled (yum!) For halo-halo toppings it is usually toasted first for the texture. Hey Chloe, Maybe you can try other Filipino kakanin: like Maja Blanca, Biko, Sapin-sapin, Kutsinta, Pichi-pichi (with cheese toppings)... Most of these are glutinous rice flour base except for Biko that uses the whole glutinous rice. Or you can try making ginataang mais - sweet glutinous rice and corn porridge. The ingredients will not be that difficult to procure even in the UK. By the way, you guys look so good and happy together. Congratulations to both of you on your engagement.
Hats off to you guys on making the ingredients from raw to finish products, we Filipinos buy those stuffs in cans/jars. Love and Respect from Manila, Philippines. btw, it's called Ube Pandesal.
I love the idea that you do the cooking yourselves in trying Filipino food. Kudos to Jonny in searching when and where the dish came from and how it came to be. And hats off to Chloe for being so supportive and very good in the kitchen. Since you guys have so much halaya, why don't you try doing the Filipino no bake ube cheesecake? It's a piece of cake for you guys. Pun intended! 😀 cheers to more video's
You both made me drool and miss eating halo-halo. Now that summer is near, time to get some of that! Once again, another enjoyable video to watch, keep 'em coming!
Hi Jonny and Chloe, I am a filipno, but I never would imagine making my own Halo-Halo because it is labor-intensive... Watching you two giving your best and then enjoying what you prepared have put me to shame as a filipino. More power and blessing to the both of you!
