@@hollypietrzak5214 Short Track & Long Track speedskating are both extremely small in the US in terms of popularity because of the other professional sports. But within the sport, Short Track has always been popular since the 1970's. The first ISU Championships were held in Champaign, IL in 1976.

The men are still faster, lap times & world records reflect that.
