A first look at the 25 Years of Lego Star Wars special edition of the Lego Star Wars Magazine. The last few month's have been confusing with the different Paper Bags in different countries and this month is even more confusing! Let me know your thoughts of these collectible Darth Vader tins in the comments below.🙏
I saw this in my local store and was like MUST HAVE! Never been a avid Lego collector but I grew up playing the Lego Star Wars games even now I’m 23! and Darth Vader was always my most desired mini figure now I’m very happy to finally have one, very detailed I also in love the exclusive tin!
@k_who-7706 Thank you for sharing your excitement! It’s great to see fellow fans appreciating the details in these collectibles. I don't think you can be too old for Lego Star Wars....I'm more than double 23 and still love the video games and Lego sets!! 🤣🤣
@michaelmorris9363 Thank you for sharing the info! Cool, the Sabine Wren minifigure is great and a good addition to the collection if you don't have it already. The only question remaining is when will you get the Phase 2 Clone Trooper that Spain & Germany get next month? We will have to wait and see!
I was in Lidl tonight doing my shopping and glanced over at the magazine section, to my suprise they had loads of issue 111 in.... Upon closer inspection a sticker was over the price saying £6.99 and Lego Star Wars LIDL exclusive issue 111" I missed out on the rectangular tin but got the Vader head when it first came out, I'll have a proper look to see if they have it in tomorrow.
@Its_Dave_Just_Dave Cool find! I wonder if Lidl have been buying up the surplus stock or if there is no just demand for the mag in your Lidl. Either way, it's good for you if you can get the rectangular Vader tin box.😎
@@thebrickcruncher I posted up on Facebook and looks like others have seen it as well, ive only seen the Vaders head issue in my local - they also have the Minecraft Mooshroom polybag issue for the Minecraft magazine back in and that was released about the same time.
@Its_Dave_Just_Dave thanks for the reply, that's interesting. Shame you couldn't get the tin you wanted. Do you post to a specific FB Group? Would you mind sharing the name. Thanks
@garysmithspacecadet It's amazing that some areas only seem to have the rectangular tin and others only have the helmet shape. Very weird! Hope you manage to find it eventually 🤞🤞
@TorrentStudios I think the TIE Bomber minifig was sw1249, which came with a "Spongy Cape". The rest of the minifig is exactly the same as this one (sw1273) except for the cape which is a "Traditional Starched Fabric Cape" 😲😂 Who knew capes so be so complicated 😉 Thank you for the support 🙏
@@thebrickcruncher Now that I look at it, you're right, I haven't touched the spongy cape in a while (it's been sitting in the mech) and I forgot about the different textures
@a_random_guy5741 I just spoke to my brother and he is having the same problem, he can only find the Helmet Tin. If you haven't tried them yet, supermarkets can be a good place to try. Good luck!
I’m having the opposite problem, I can only find the rectangle tin. I’ve looked everywhere in Hereford and Nottingham, incl. all motorway services between the two places!! 🤬🤬🤬
@Gabi.J Thanks for letting me know, I prefer the rectangle one as well. At the moment there has been no news about more collectible tins but the Ninjago Magazine does have them every so often so we have to hope that Lego Star Wars will do more... I'm sure they would be popular with fans! I'm looking forward to the Sabine Wren minifig in the next issue. Thanks for the support 🙏
I have only found one tin so far, the Darth Vader tin, not seen the other tin anywhere else here within the UK . Has anyone managed to do this tin of so what retailer.
@michaelelliott8536 I think this is surprisingly common in parts of the UK. I don't know if it's a distribution issue but I know several people have had the same problem. Supermarkets seem to be a good option, my brother found a rectangular one in Morrisons. So don't give up and keep searching, hopefully you will find the other tin soon! Good luck! 🤞🤞🤞
@Ravedaze. I completely agree with you about the parts being loose in the tin. I was surprised that there was no inside packaging. It would have been great to have a foam, cut out insert that held all the parts in place.... I think that would have made this even better!
@jSirBrickzAlot I know the lack of the Lego Star Wars Magazine in the USA has been frustrating fans for a long time. Particularly because it limits your access to the Foil Packs / Paper Bags. Blue Ocean Entertainment holds the licensing rights to publish the LEGO Star Wars magazine in Europe and they don't have a significant presence in the USA. Thanks you watching the video 👍
Well the main reason is that it is obvious that many people buy LEGO SW sets solely for its minifigures. Some European countries are significantly poorer than the US so releasing gazettes with minifigs is a pretty sustainable model in Europe because people wouldnt buy big expensive sets anyway, whereas releasing such gazettes in US would discourage consumers from buying sets they could actually afford and therefore fill the LEGO pockets big time.
@valley_robot Thank you for the support. 7 Darth Vader figs? That's some serious dedication right there! I'm not sure how many I have 🤔 I think these recent ones are about as detailed as LEGO can make them so that's good... the downside is that they become like Chewbacca minifigs and you end up with a whole army! And as far as releasing the same Darth Vader minifigure with 2 different types of fabric cape.... that's just pushing it a bit far!!
@nahidahamed1742 I totally get that, another minifig would have been nice! I think 2 minifigs are usually in the Ninjago Tins and it would have been nice to get a stormtrooper in the tin as well as Vader.
@nahidahamed1742 Yes, you could definitely get two or more minifigs in the tin and it would be great👍👍Just not sure it will ever happen...but let's hope so 🤞
@meisteryoda2463 In the UK this issue is £6.99, and in Spain I paid €7.99. I don't know if the Euro price will be the same across Europe. Hope that helps.
@Robot-oh3et Thank you for the comment 🙏 Ah, the ever-fluctuating market of Lego Star Wars Magazines! 🤔 I think this special anniversary issue will be £6.99 💸💸
@janveskrna Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated. Fingers crossed for the magazine next month and I'll have to see if if I can find the magazine release dates for the Czech Republic for future videos 👍🙏
@PixelArcherCookie it should be out in the UK on the 17th July so I hope you can pick a copy up OK. If you have a choice will you choose the Rectangle Tin Box or the Darth Vader Helmet one?
@Mark.der.Brick.Magier In Germany, Darth Vader and the collectible tin is out 12th July and the next issue is not know at the moment. If it is the same as Spain, it will be a Sabine Wren Minifigure sw1302 after Vader.

Just picked this up in Belfast. The ad on the inside back page has Sabine Wren as the mini figure for the next issue.
Yeah same, i think the European issue is the other way round to the uk edition

Hey is this the exact same Darth Vader figure as in the Darth Vader Mech? Is there no difference? Thanks
@xyncapex Hi. Yes, it's the same Darth Vader figure from the Darth Vader Mech set. It is identical.

The Vader minifigure was actually first made available in the TIE Bomber 😅
Awesome magazine and great review!

The mag companies Lego licensed this to are letting the side down! Chaos numbering.
@james2506 Totally agree, the numbering has been weird lately...and the different minifigs in different countries makes it even more confusing!
Does anyone know where to find the rectangle tin in the UK? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find it
Just seen it in Tesco

you have a new sub, love the presentation ;)
@bricksontoast8568 I really appreciate your support and the fact that you enjoyed the video means a lot to me! Thank you.
I don’t like the idea of the parts rattling about and damaging them
