I actually love that you didn't chop off 'un-neccasarry' parts as most of it so just so funny and hilarious! Love to hear you guys talk for that reason.
There are tears streaming down my face watching Ruth and that TF eye cream!! I love you too together. You are my favourite duo to watch, so funny together!
I love that you now make videos as well as blogging because I'm a 16 year old and since expanding my knowledge on skincare and developing a routine of cleanse, tone etc.. my skin has much improved! I'm still quite oily but I get less spots so thanks Caroline! :) xxx
Love the collaborations and especially excited that Hydraluron Moisture jelly made it here because I really wanted to see your review before buying it! Thank you
chat as long as you want or can because i love watching you together , your hilarious and full of useful information, if little is good more must be better!
I just subscribed to you because I re watched your video with Pixiwoo and your other video with Ruth, and I have extremely oily skin and have just ordered the Emma Hardie cleansing balm, and I'm now desperate to order the Vichy you mentioned in this video.. You're just brilliant! And your videos are hilarious too; you just deliver the facts in such an accessible style, and you change perspectives on how certain products and ingredients are or should be used.. You are just fabulous :) and you and Ruth are brilliant together :)
I wish ole henriksen and melvita is readily available in Aus. The moisture is $40 here. Looking forward to trying it but waiting for a sale. I would be interested to see videos about oily, dehydrated skin and what to do about improving pigmentation. Also a video demo of face massage!
I had no idea you also have a channel, the previous videos you did with Ruth I did see, but totally missed the plot apparently. You two are such fun together.
after finding out about Hydraluron from your blog, i went and purchased it & i just want to say thank you so much because i've previously had the worst dry. dehydrated skin which then made my makeup look cakey and last for a shorter time- but since discovering Indeed Lab's products my look and feel of my skin has COMPLETELY changed making me feel much more confident! love it, and loved this video!xx
I would watch a video from you two even if it was 100 minutes long! Very Informative as well as funny as hell! Thanks for all the good cleansing ideas and makeup removers. I'm sad alot of these things are not available in the states. But, we do have some good ones here. Please keep making these videos! They are so helpful and hysterical to watch! Big Hugs to you both!!!!! Deb
Ladies, I've said it before and I'll say it again, the two of you are YT gold!!!! I really enjoy watching your collab videos. You both bring something out in the other that is missing from your individual videos. (I like you won videos too) I have learn t so much from both of you!!!! And if I can ask again, (Sorry in advance for the caps) WHAT NAIL VARNISH IS CAROLINE WEARING? This colour is very popular right now. I've looked at loads of varnishes at Boots but they are either too dull, too pearl like and such...PLEASE tell me?!!?!?! Thanks girls. xoxoxo
Absolutely hilarious and totally lovely video @carolinehirons!!!! And def not too long!!! Oh, I would love to try the Hydraluron gel. Now how to get my hands on it over here...??? I'm also very curious about doing peels at home. Could you do a blog post on that plus recommend products, or even better, a post on at home facials, in the sense of the order of products etc? Thanks!
Love love love your videos with Ruth, Caroline! I must try the hydraluron jelly it looks fantastic and really not very expensive at all - boots actually have it for 1/3 off just now!!
I think the effaclar duo has been giving me weird skin bumps (not sure yet, still trying to find out if it's my cleanser or that) so as soon as I heard about the night detox, went to purchase straight away! Thank you both for always being my enablers haha.
Ohhh Caroline, I'm soo glad to hear that you've also been using the Hydraluron (moisturiser) as a moisture top up underneath your normal moisturiser. I bought it last week and have been using it in the same way (but also using the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Riche over the top) I don't think the LRP moisturiser has any special benefits but it feels nice on the skin...do you have any thoughts on it? Also, Clarins Extra Firming Day Cream...yay or nay? That's what I'd normally use. (I'm 37 years old with classic como skin type) Thank you both for brightening my RUclips feed...I just adore you lovely ladies!! 😊❤️😘 xXx
Miss Ruby Rouge I prefer the old formulation of Clarins Extra Firming - the new one is really heavy on the silicone - which i don't mind but this is a tad overkill IMO.
Hey Caroline, first of all, I love you, reading through your blog has really helped my skin out. Anyway, I would like to see a video about what to look for when buying skincare and what to avoid (especially directed towards ingredients)
ooo! Ole Henriksen is something I haven't seen/ tried yet! Love Ruth's face playing with the pump! haha Thank you for the tips girl! xoxo from California!
Hi Caroline, Just wanted to say your videos and blog are both amazing I have learned so much from them that has helped me with my skincare. I was wondering if you might consider doing a video were you would go through skin care products (both high end and budget) you would use for each skin type. For example you might start talking about sensitive skin types and talk about the products you would use for them and than move on to combination skin types and talk about products your would recommend for them etc. Thanks! Keep up the great work Caroline
Caroline'll fix it! (A deep apology if those words draw up images of that god forsaken cretin Jimmy Saville) I love your videos because I never hear any of that "This is lovely, smells amazing, the end" crap that you get with 99% of youtubers. I don't waste my time on most other people's recommendations, I come here or to your blog and I hear about ingredients, texture, scent, purpose and advantages and I learn. I get to see what's on the market at all price marks. Not to mention, I get all this and the entertainment of watching you and Ruth bounce off eachother. What a pair of characters!
love these vids!!!! don't chop!! :D just ordered the vichy normaderm night..really need something to work during the night! great favorites as always!! :)
I was in boots the other day and saw the Hydraluron jelly thing and wondered what you thought about it because is appeals to me more than the tube thing..... :P now I think I'll make a trip to collect it...
The best thing I have used when I had a reaction to a cream was the Avene Skin recovery cream calming formula helps when the skin has really dried out!
It's because Ole Henriksen ain't american, he's from Denmark, he just lives in the states :-) Loving your videos, and thanks to Ruth Crilly for introducing you and your channel to me.. Lots of love xx
Caroline I know that you love pixi glow tonic, and I am a huge fan as well (b/c of you, THANK YOU). I used to use a tretinoin cream, and after reading your blog for over a year - i no longer use any prescriptions and my skin looks better than ever. I've been using the glow tonic for about 9months. On my most recent order - I saw that within the skin treats line they also have the PIXI LINE RELAX SERUM.. Could you SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS? I should be receiving it within a few days, but I didn't see any ingredients that I have recognized as power players (retinol, hyaluronic acid, glycol acid, Vit C etc.) But maybe I don't know what I should be looking for in this product. Either way - I ordered b/c I love the glow tonic so much I wanted to explore the line. I'm curious to know what you would say about this product before I open and dive in. I've also started using the Peter Thomas Roth peel pads to switch it up with the Pixi Glow. But i only do them once a week max. I was surprised that you rinse with water to neutralize the acid. Any thoughts on these pads are they worth keeping in my routine? I do feel like I need a better moisturizer when I use those peel pads - maybe I should go for a hylauronic acid to plump up overnight - any suggestions or what percent hylauronic acid I should look for to be effective? For cleanser I use coconut oil to remove makeup then neutrogena non foaming creamy cleanser. I then go in with my pixie or PTR peel pads - next I do a Loreal moisturizing toner that I have put into a spray bottle and give a little spritz. It has the glycerin at the top of ingredients as you recommend to sandwich the moisture. Then I use my neutrogena healthy skin eye creme with alpha hydroxy and melibiose (this stuff is great for being drugstore - in fact you'll see, recently I've developed a love for neutrogena in general). For serum/oils and moisturizer after my toning stages - some nights I go in with the neutrogena rapid release retinol serum, and then I use a clean and clear gel moisturizer. Can you moisturize with coconut oil too (I haven't tried)? I do have Josie Maran argan oil but I never noticed anything great about this product so I don't really use it that much. So as you can see I have some drugstore products mixed in - but mostly I just put the money into the toner/acid peel. Any suggestions? Thank you Caroline - I just love all of your suggestions. In fact I've been really interested in trying some Alpha H products lately (maybe liquid gold) - but I missed the QVC sale. I live in the states I am 29 - combination skin. P.S. I refer to you as the skin goddess! :)
Love you guys, so good for the laugh factor!! Ruth, I remember jelly cubes and great jelly cube fights (long time ago now). Sadly in Oz you can only get jelly crystals, no pleasure in them, ha ha. Thanks for the vid. :))
Hi Caroline, loved this video all 22 minutes of it. I am suffering with quite oily skin at the moment could this be due to dehydration? Keep these vids coming love you and ruth as a duo! I also enjoyed Mr Ford, although could never afford his products! xx
Ooh thanks for your reply. I'm massively put off by silicone based products i find they ball up and just create barriers that arent necessarily moistuzing, like a primer :\
***** Hello you! :) I personally LOVE a good quality silicone in skincare. And foundation for that matter. The 'balling' effect means a few things: either - you're using too much, you're using opposing silicones on top of each other or both. Which products have you had issues with?
Well I used to use Mac Strobe Cream in conjunction with Advanced Night Repair and sometimes it would ball up when i rubbed it in but seperately i loved both products! but i've switched to the Pai Rosehip Oil mixed with EL ANR which is a great combo, but i'm going to swap that for the Bruvara Hyaluronic Serum because it looks amazing and it's been reduced to £25! xx
Hello Caroline I love your videos you and Ruth are like me and my sister when we get silly together...great to watch. Was just wondering what best product is for un-clogging pores? Clay mask? It the only one I listen too he he xxxx
Hi Caroline! Amazing video as always and I really love it when Ruth joins you. You mentioned adult acne in this video and I was wondering if you mind doing a video on how you dealt with it and the products you used during that time :) xx love you and recommendations always!
Soso Alhourani Yes will do. I have a long acne list for videos but I'm sure you can appreciate its a very serious matter and I don't want to just throw it out there randomly. It's a lot of prep!
Hey Caroline, We've all heard how bad minerals oils are but can you possibly tell me exactly why they are a big no. I have the pleasure of working with elders and I've come across 60/70 years olds with perfect nearly wrinkle free skin and they all gave thanks to Ponds Cold Cleanser. Generations have sworn by it but the first ingredient in it is mineral oil.
I hope Caroline responds to you but in case she doesn't here is what I found out from Lisa Eldridge. She is one of the best makeup artists in the industry and has a channel here on youtube that is truly the best. She is a fanatic of skincare and has developed products for makeup companies. She said not all mineral oils are bad and they are not all created equal. Because mineral oil comes from petroleum, people think they are bad. But some are super purified and therefore more expensive. Mineral oil does work to retain moisture but you don't want product that has a cheap form of it.
jackienavidad Hi Jackie! With respect to the commenter above, I adore Lisa Eldridge but completely disagree with her re mineral oil. There are no 'expensive versions'. They're all pretty much the same and incredibly cheap. Regarding the elders with great skin - if you have glowing skin at that age it's down to your genetics and lifestyle - even the most expensive products can't guarantee that. :) Lucky them!
I didn't mean that mineral oil that is purified turns into something completely different. It is still mineral oil and certainly cannot beat natural. But from reading about it after hearing Lisa, the super purified and normal versions cannot be compared. There are a lot of people that use mineral oil and it helps their skin retain moisture and helps them remain youthful. But like you said it comes down to genetics. A lot of acneprone skin cannot tolerate mineral oil as it breaks them out. But even "good," natural oils can do that to some acneprone people. Caroline and many others have had success with them. But I have tried so many and all of them clogged up every one of my pores. Not everything is bad for everyone.
Hello chicken! I so love watching your videos with Ruth! Just wondering what your thoughts were on Hyaluronic Acid supplements and Marine Collagen supplements? Xo
mister bear! beautiful cat ! and will be trying the hirons-luron moisture jelly too!! as tried hydraluron and like it so hopefully will like this too- anything to add moisture to my skin without breaking me out as i am 35 with mild adult acne that i use nightly prescription benzyl peroxide gel for (and pretty sure it is not good for my skins general condition apart from clearing the acne). if you were going to use a facial oil (which my skin seems to tolerate like seems to embrace like without it being pore blocking) would you put it on before or after the hydraluron? after? cant decide! keep up the good work ladies!
Hi Caroline, Love your videos and blog!!! I have a question I don't have particularly dark under eye area however my concealor always cracks and becomes very liney, I currently use clarins eye contour gel, would you recommend a different eye cream so that the area is more moisturised? Or should I stick to what I have? Thanks Fozia xx
How about you show the tiger, haven't seen him for such a long time, still remembering him when he was fighting the qtip in front of your screen...'sigh', I watched that video a zillion times; good old days^^
Hi Caroline, I'm 46 and would love your very best recommendation for eye cream please. I'll consider any budget! As long as it's the best and it works. I'm currently using Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Age-Renewal. Thank you so much.(BTW, I'm in the UK)
Caroline Hirons Thank you so much for replying, I'll give the Sunday Riley one a whirl as I've already tried Zelens. Just had the car boot break in Morrisons car park and come crashing down on the bridge of my nose resulting in a scream and lots of blood. Just hope I don't get 2 black eyes now! xxx
I love the dynamic you two have. You are obviously very good friends and it shows xxx
Thank you Rebecca! x

I reallllly want to know the use, benefits and downsides to sillicones in skincare, the new Clinique Serum is full of them!?

But even "good," natural oils can do that to some acneprone people. Caroline and many others have had success with them. But I have tried so many and all of them clogged up every one of my pores. Not everything is bad for everyone.
someone once said (on one of your instagram pics, i believe), you two should have your own tv show. twould be one i would totally watch!
Love you two! Will have to give the Hydraluron Moisture Jelly a crack.
I used to loooove those Kate Somerville pads, they smell like brown sugar! Not sure why I stopped using them....
Loved this video, very entertaining, not to mention informative which I suppose was the intent. Loved it.
love you two together! cheers!
Another great vid. Heads up there is a £5 off voucher for any indeed labs products in the boots magazine!

Hello chicken! I so love watching your videos with Ruth! Just wondering what your thoughts were on Hyaluronic Acid supplements and Marine Collagen supplements? Xo
Nicola Preece I think they will work and there is evidence they do, I just can't risk the marine collagen in case there is shellfish!
Ruth's face with the Tom Ford eye cream. Perfection.
Just watched the other video on Ruth's channel :) u 2 are brilliant ;) love u ;)))
I love ur vidos and ur blog. 👍👍
Can u plssss do a teen skin care video
You guys are great together
mister bear! beautiful cat ! and will be trying the hirons-luron moisture jelly too!! as tried hydraluron and like it so hopefully will like this too- anything to add moisture to my skin without breaking me out as i am 35 with mild adult acne that i use nightly prescription benzyl peroxide gel for (and pretty sure it is not good for my skins general condition apart from clearing the acne). if you were going to use a facial oil (which my skin seems to tolerate like seems to embrace like without it being pore blocking) would you put it on before or after the hydraluron? after? cant decide! keep up the good work ladies!
Morven Shaw After - BUT - I wouild say use Hydraluron with moisturiser not oil in general :)
Please could you do a video on skincare for very sensitive skin, preferably fragrance free? (as i have eczema/dry skin) Thanks! :)
Hi Caroline,
Love your videos and blog!!!
I have a question I don't have particularly dark under eye area however my concealor always cracks and becomes very liney, I currently use clarins eye contour gel, would you recommend a different eye cream so that the area is more moisturised? Or should I stick to what I have?
Thanks
Fozia xx
How about you show the tiger, haven't seen him for such a long time, still remembering him when he was fighting the qtip in front of your screen...'sigh', I watched that video a zillion times; good old days^^

Love your videos Caroline!! Keep them up :)
Just found your channel and I'm so so glad I did!
Rebecca Hibbert Try Zelens or Sunday Riley xx
Caroline Hirons Thank you so much for replying, I'll give the Sunday Riley one a whirl as I've already tried Zelens. Just had the car boot break in Morrisons car park and come crashing down on the bridge of my nose resulting in a scream and lots of blood. Just hope I don't get 2 black eyes now! xxx
