Great to find this video because I recently bought a couple dozen of both these balls to compare and decide which one I'd use going forward (at least this season). I really liked the Tour Response and was all set to buy more and keep them in the bag. However, and I don't know if others have found this to be true, but I discovered, at least for me, when I get any left to right fading or slicing spin, I lose more distance than most other premium balls. I hadn't noticed it initially because I'm typically drawing the ball or fighting a hook or pull hook. BTW, according to two spec sheets I have comparing compression of all the top sellers and many other balls on the market, the Tour Response (70) is a slightly lower compression ball compared to the Chrome Soft (75).
The last ball to test out. Right now ERC soft is in the lead for casual rounds. I hear the Triad isn't as forgiving on mishits and loses to much distance on longer irons. Have you noticed a huge loss of distance on mishits with longer clubs?
@@gcoffey223 I haven't noticed a significant difference in distance drop off on mishits. I do think the feel is a bit firm in general and can be a harsher feel on thinner shots than other balls I play like the q-star tour, vice pro soft, and chrome soft
I play the Tour Response, my club guys can’t believe how far I hit this thing with a Cleveland #3 Hywood! I have a few found 2024 Callaway Chrome Soft but have not played them. Thanks for the review
I agree in this limited test, the balls were close, and it comes down to personal preference. For the money, I'd take the TaylorMade over the Chrome soft value wise.
@@mistahshorthitter I’d like to try the snells. Problem is they’re very close in price to the vice balls. I’d like to see a review comparing Vice to snell
I played Chromesoft last summer and fall. Haven’t tried Tour Response. Will consider buying when I go through my couple dozen leftovers from last year.
First, your videos are great and I'm glad you are keeping to the grind...Thank you for that; really, thank you. Second, how about review on training aids? I saw one with a grip and the grip is supposed to be molded to the "correct" hand position. Finally, I finally broke 100! I shot 96, first time since I started playing and your videos has really helped. Thank you for the videos. Ervin C.
I picked up 2 dozen Chromesoft a few weeks ago from Golfball Planet. Love them. I was playing ProV1 but with my 100ish mph swing speed, the Chromesoft carry farther.
I was gifted a dozen ProV1s and have been playing them. I have about the same swing speed, but I don't trust my driver. How have you liked the Chromesofts? Forgiveness, confidence, etc?
@cpo8361 Been playing them exclusively for almost 2 months. I really like them. Distance/accuracy are as good as my game permits. They chip and putt really well.
Played bith last season and found the Tour Response a little longer off the tee but equal around the green to the Callaway. Bought the TMs for the needed distance and price. Still prefer the V1, I still think they're longer after playing em yesterday. Did you do any indoor tests
I can't remember that video. I believe I was just doing subjective testing without simulator numbers. A viewer just wanted me to play both and give my opinion.
I play them both slightly prefer the Callaway, but there is really not much difference between them. They are both good balls, you really can't go wrong I think.
Just looking at starting back after over 25 years used to play with Pinaccle Gold could dribe approx 240- 260 plus butback injury will limit my swing speed now and just sorting my old clubs to then go to a local driving range once Iam mkore consistant then start with primarily local municipal par 3 courses. And just bought a good selection of the Callaway soft, chrome soft and chromesoft x plus Talor made speedsoft ink and tour response plus a few higher Taylormade models like the pix to try. All in three bundles of grade A and pearl for the Taylor made and all the Callaways are grade B but look pretty much as good as the Grade A Taylormade. So hopefully at least one of these will be ideal.

I've been liking Wilson Triad the last few rounds. Don't sell yourself short, your videos are quality and get better all the time
I appreciate it, Chris! I'm in it for the long haul!
Hey CJock. I switched to the same ball last year vs. Srixon and I really enjoy the Wilson Triads.

Yes please!!
Hey Mistah ,
can you do the Callaway Chrome Tour vs the TP5x I'm curious is to see if there are any benefits to one over the other thanks !
Thank you! I'll check them out!
Fantastic video again. Well done. I’m still playing OnCore elixr. Shot 80 today with it
Awesome! Thank you!
I play the tour response only because I like the high launch and low spin. Plus i want a premium ball without the premium price
But everybody’s swing is different so everybody’s launch numbers will be different too
I’ve also heard really good things about the Wilson triad. Gonna be the next ball I try
I agree in this limited test, the balls were close, and it comes down to personal preference. For the money, I'd take the TaylorMade over the Chrome soft value wise.

That is a great idea!! Thank you, Ervin!
I found that I couldn’t get the TaylorMade to bite on approach shots to the green. Led to longer putts and cost me some strokes.
Thank you for watching!
Don't worry about other content my man. I love your content because it's relatable to my game and 99% of other golfer's. Keep doing what you're doing!
Will do!!
What do you think about the taylormade speedsoft and the callaway supersoft kind of that middle budget area.

I did not. I may do that. A lot of viewers have been tuning out when I do the indoor numbers, so I don't do them as much.
@mistahshorthitter
I understand. Maybe just screen shots of the comparable #'s. Spin rate, ball speed, carry and total distance comparisons(?)
You have a really nice friendly way of narrating! 😊
I appreciate you saying that!
Have you hit the Chrome Tour X? I'm not Mr. Speed, but I find X balls (Pro V1 and Chrome) help me with carry on the longer clubs
Not yet! Thank you!
Thanks for the video! I will stick with the Wilson Staff!
Thank you for watching!
I bought Chromesoft, I noticed with your driver the Callaway is more consistent the taylormade seem to spray more.
Thank you so much for watching!
Thanks MSH. "Hit'em straight "

@mistahshorthitter also the Titleist Tour Soft vs the Titleist AVX, or maybe even a video comparing all four of those balls.
