To be honest, William is both Good & Bad in a sense. I mean sure he’s done a lot of bad things in the past but he’s also doing good things now if you think about it. He’s become a better father and such and even admit to his mistakes. To me, I don’t think he belongs in neither Heaven or Hell. His past actions we’re enough to get him thrown into Hell and his Present Actions are enough to go into Heaven. But I think he should go to Purgatory for a while. It’s a place that’s between Heaven and Hell where sinners go to be cleansed so they can enter Heaven. It’s like a prison, but your being cleansed of your sins.
And now I'm imagining William with his eyes sewn shut on the ring of, I think it was, Pride. Or was it Greed? Looks like I need to read through Purgatorio again...or just watch OSP's video since that'd be faster. Purgatorio is a dense read...and no where near as entertaining as Inferno. What can I say? But nobody is all bad. Oliver loved his wife and if you look from his perspective everything he did is justifiable. Except he has done good things, he helped cassidy, he reunited sammy and henry and after that he put them on good terms by helping henry. The whole reason oliver went to hell is because he did bad things and said he did nothing wrong. William acknowledges his mistakes and wrongs.
