Music As Medicine - Bukola

Exploring notions of music, ‘Music as Medicine’ was an event in collaboration with UWIDO and the Community Arts Council of Vancouver, centred around the power of music as a means to heal through gathering, expressing, relating, sharing and learning. This event took place on February 18, 2023, in Vancouver, BC, at the Annex Theatre.
Recently hailed by Exclaim! as one of their new favourite emerging artists in 2021, Bukola blends the sounds of acoustic soul and jazz-tinged R&B to create her own soulful sound. She’s influenced by artists such as India Arie, H.E.R. and John Mayer, and has been pursuing her dreams of becoming a professional musician since she was 9 years old.
Bukola worked with Grammy Award-winning producer, Chin Injeti, and Juno Award-winning producer Ben Kaplan on her debut EP “The Chronicles of A Teenage Mind”, which is out now on all streaming platforms.
