- It finally happened. After years of progressively crazier Hollow Knight randomizer options we have arrived at the ultimate setting. Grass Randomizer. This means every single blade of grass in the game is a check, and is in the item pool. Areas with lots of grass are now super useful, but on the other hand, we are going to be finding a TON of grass...

of everything that has been made in mods somehow a grass randomizer wasn't something i expected and clearly it is just as horrifying as you'd expect
I can only imagine Sly taking the key and calmly making his way to the storeroom to find "oh yes, really just some extra grass back in here, ofcourse" and *one lonesome grub.* trapped all by itself, in a likely dark room, for god knows how long, surrounded by an antire stock of grass.

Can't wait for NPC randomizer, background object randomizer, and, eventually, letter randomizer (every time you get text, every letter is a check)
With letter randomizer, listening to the 57 precepts would give you like half the stuff in the game (as it should!)

Randomize screen transitions with items. So you pick something up and get teleported or you walk through a door and get an item etc.
That's incredible, but seems pretty hard to code
This feels like it'd softlock REALLY easily though.

@@MoonPatch Worst case scenario you could probably just check it in code to make sure every room leads to every other room in some way, then just randomize it again if it doesn't work

i kept thinking it was so much more boring when they went through a room with no grass checks until i realised that that's literally just the regular game
Imagine if there were, among the thousands of grass, 2 "quantum grass" too
Next they'll randomize the ground. Every different instance of ground you walk on might give you an item and picking something up might give you dirt.
When you think theres no more content in the game, the random grass comes in clutch.
No leaves to reach.

I'm really surprised Skurry hasn't done Grass% in any other games. Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time both seem like prime candidates, and i know Skurry's played both on the channel before.

Head canon: Lawnmower Knight only killed Radiance because grass uses the sun for energy to grow, so they decided to kill the sun in order to keep all of the grass cut forever

A better way to do grass rando is a grass shop, in which you can buy rewards from a custom npc for cutting certain amounts of grass
I loved it when there was a poll in chat for if the next non-grass item would be useful. And it was a soul refill, so as a doubter I was on the winning team. But shortly after that Skurry got a useful item and chat was in a fight. This is why Skur has one of the best chats, they are calm so chat is chaotic.

You should do a Rain World: Downpour enemy randomizer if you havent, it can get REALLY chaotic with leeches. There's also custom regions for downpour, Pilgrim's Ascent and Scorched District which actually connect to eachother

If you need something else cursed to randomize, you could throw in all of the essence from the spirits in the glade.
Edit: In fact, throw in the essence for all of the ghosts. Make absorbing Cloth and Marissa a check.

And thus Skurry travels through the misted caverns, verdant wilds, and the darkest depths of Hallownest to help every citizen out with their lawn. In response to their efforts, they are sometimes rewarded with spells, geo, or lore from the many bugs. This kingdom may no longer be what it once was, but everyone needs their lawn cut.
What about randomizing the geo drops of every single unique enemy in the game? You can find dreamnail in that one specific vengefly in the howling cliffs.

Like, if they’re supposed to protect Lurien from corruption, surely corrupt beings would attack everything in their path, whereas the knight may not.
