@@PoleBarnGarage ok ..what if you don't have just stuff laying around? Mighty much stuff laying around... I couldn't do that without...stuff laying around
I didn’t think my love for the Silver Dollar could get any greater, but then, you installed that barbed wire under seat security system to protect whatever falls under the seat!! Over the top Dalton!!!!!!!
Now Dalton, that glove box was trying to tell you the whole time that is wasn't the right one. You just wern't listening : p Cannot believe how you restored that truck!!!
I love how JD been there since the beginning of the channel I love that boy kids come first remember that your doing a good job being a father for him alot of kids don't have that ❤️❤️
Those doors seals will relax with some time no doubt. Door panels looked good after dye. Good thing you have JD, he will keep you honest. She'll be a solid truck when you sell her!
I had a crossmember in my 70 vette where the paint kept wrinkling. After removing and repainting several times with the same results, I used acetone to remove the paint instead of paint thinner and it worked. Might try it.... Anyway, great truck, great people, and a great video! Really enjoyed it! A+++++
I swear man you never cease to amaze me on utilizing whatever’s laying around and make what some would consider to be junk useful, you are truly showing how us regular folks that you can have killer awesome looking rides with a budget and some outside the box thinking. Thanks man and always enjoy your content!
I am the same way I have been a mechanic since the 70s my wife use to always say why do you save all this junk until I started pointing out the things I fix from that stuff and I haven’t had to go anywhere in years looking for nuts or bolts and random stuff. Then I heard her telling a friend that I can fix anything and never spend a cent lol she finally realized the value of junk.
As a master mechanic for a dealership for 15 years, some things I see make me cringe. And as a shade tree mechanic at home I applaud your 'get er done spirit'! The truck looks fn amazing, love the content and how JD is learning the trade. Plus, who am I to judge, you have a jag 😂 killing in brother
Nothing like a shakedown drive straight to Kevin's place! Awesome job on the interior Dalton, really looks great. JD is getting one hell of an education there.. I loved watching him fight removing those damned hog rings. The bane of my existence.
An easy way to remember trailer light harness wires. Green is the grass side, yellow's the center line side, and obviously brown comes out of the tail end
Get yourself a 3M Half Face Respirator with Organic Cartridges (for paint) and it can also be used for all of your sanding, and get one for DJ. The prefilters catch the dust, the cartridges catch the VOCs
Nice job! Enjoying the channel. The new girl seems like a good fit. Nice job on the go-kart JD! After that mishap with the wiring i would have cried lol.
One of the best content creators on RUclips.....you and nnkh......vice grip claims to be for people on a budget, but it has gone away, his builds seems like money is no longer an issue..he has changed... ..keep it up man, the common man's channel.....😊😊
The truck just keeps getting better and better! You and JD have done a fantastic job👍🏻 Can’t wait to see the road trip! Side note: the “piping” on your upholstery is actually “welting”. Piping is for clothing and welting is for upholstery🙂 From my experiences with all kinds of upholstery…..auto upholstery just sucks😳
I know you’re kinda tired of this build after the tons of work/money you’ve put into it, but don’t quit on it now. That truck is why I found your channel and is my favorite vehicle on it. It’s been awesome watching you fix a truck that looked like it should be junked. It should give everyone hope that the old rusty stuff they’ve got can always be fixed.
Were those old French fries that fell out of the seat? 😂 At least thats what it looked like, and the dog might have helped themselves to a couple of them. This has been my favorite build that you have done. I’ve loved watching it, and I learned a lot of body work and painting tips along the way that I never knew so thank you for that. You made me realize to not take projects so seriously or get too upset when something goes wrong. Just do your best, have fun with it, and make a functional machine run and be badass for years to come without killing the bank
Fantastic work. A couple observations. 1.) Area 51 is one of the greatest arcade games of all time. I miss malls and arcades. 2.) What is the cat's name?
That came out great! If you can get your hands on a steamer you might be able to smooth out the corners and any wrinkles in the seat if they are bothering you. You can also wrap your foam with something like poly-fil and that will help with wrinkles and fill things out.
Knowing your sense of humor, I was fully expecting you to close the episode after the rear-view mirror installation. Always fun to hang out at the PBG - with Dalton and JD.
Great video Dalton really enjoy your content. When are you and Kevin going to enter a crash and derby with all the cars you got that would be awesome to see.
I still can't believe that that is the same scrap heap Kevin suckered you into. I know it won't win any car shows but the story behind it will surprise a few people that see it.
I can't wait for the final video showing the start to finish, like you did with the other projects. I have a few friends who I know would love this series but I need the video to show off! Lol
You can still smell the paint through those masks because they are designed for particles not fumes.. You need an actual respirator with charcoal canisters to do anything about VOC's from paint. I should know, I took autobody/refinishing in college.
You know you have a very good son, I just love watching you show, I do not agree with a lot of the words that you use but still like watching you. I really hope your channel go far. And keep that mini you on his toes he loves you very much and watches every move you make. Good luck to you from the Michael Ranch.
FYI, whenever I remove or install glass in square body doors I pull the wing windows first. Seems to help. Good job on the build man! That thing has come a LONG way!! 😎
The barbed wire latch cable is so hilarious to me. If anybody breaks in the truck that can be a form of theft deterrent when they gash their arm open reaching under the seat to see if there’s anything good under it lol 😂
Truck is really looking great man, incredibly impressive work you've done on it overall. I appreciate your commitment to doing it cheap but still taking care when it comes to the details.
33:06 it's been an amazing rollercoaster of a transmogrification and it'll be fun to show off to Kevin and Mook (and Angus if he's there this time) who will be amazed it's the same truck. That's called foreshadowing. Looking forward to the video when it comes!
10:20pm Eastern Time, new PBG drops while I'm getting ready for bed....... Have to get up for work at 4am....... Sleep can wait, this is more important
As soon as you stopped mid-sentence and said "Now why are there cows in the yard?", I felt compelled to hit the "LIKE" button. 🤣🐄
What really set that comment off was ,someone in the background..i think Jessie said something to the effect of “ yay free meat”!!!
Free meat got me
I was here for this comment. Perfect timing.
Did he say “free meat” or “free beef”?
Not something you hear everyday in my neighborhood.

"Good trucks get new parts, bad trucks get scrapped" and that made the step side a good truck

Worth a shot! I found the correct glovebox box eBay, I'll strip the paint off and try a little acetone

Still a bit of self tapper engineering keeping it budget real 😂👍🏼🇬🇧
I love all 3 colors that make up this truck. She's a beauty !!
WOW!! thinking back to when you dragged that home from Kevin…You did some job! All on a budget too.
I have fallen in love with the Silver Dollar Chevy! I remember these back when they were new, only the coolest of the cool had them.
This is still my favorite channel, because it’s the right mix of half-assed, cheap, and average Joe car repair and upgrades.
I can't wait to see the next video road tripping it back back to junkyard to have him see all you've done to it, video is going to be epic!
Lovin that stearin wheel! Also oh boy gotta love findin random wires that somebody halfway spliced together 20 years ago.

From what this truck was to what it is now just proves if you want it bad enough you’ll figure out a way to do it!! This thing is really bad ass man!!

It might not be "perfect" but ya know what, it's freekin GREAT. Glad you brought this truck back from the dead 🤟

Hey Dalton I dig the 1960s kitchen table and chairs! 😅😅😅😂
Love all your hard work from plow truck to amazing truck
The interior looks great. The dash looks awesome.
The Silver Dollar came out pretty good. Lotta work, but you saved it from the scrap pile. Nicely done Dalton and JD.

Fun fact, the early 73' pickups had smaller tracks and rollers for the windows. So while the glass is thicker, the track the regulator uses is smaller

So nice to see it all so close to done
Nice job,
With barbed wire for connecting draw on the seat slides, I wouldn't keep anything under the seat 😮
It's not barbed lol
I would take that dash pad out to do that it'll come out easier than it would to tape it off
And break into a thousand pieces in the process. Been there done that lol
You guys did a sweet job on this, on budget, did all the work at home and repurposed lots of parts 🙌
