GULF MARINE FABRICTORS had built a lot of big Jackets in the Ingleside yard Bullwinkle was built there BP jacket, Walter Oil & Gas jacket, Shell TLP ‘s had their modules install on them with the SLD( Special Lifting Device) Chevron Marlin project, also Shell tendons piles. I can go on and on about the yard also there was good fishing off the bulk head large Redfish and Trout but the yard was sold to Buckeye. I will miss it there....There is another yard Aransas Pass(North Yard) that was also sold that also built the platform such as the Exxon Modules locate off the California coast and the another modules that went to Africa coast again I can go on and on....I have been there since 1989 and see a lot .

I used to enjoy watching this work being done here, too. It's the same aside from the fact that the ties are concrete and are bolted to the track. Nice old footage there.

These are nowhere near the strongest tugs in the world. They're old, outdated, shitheaps.
They have bollard pulls of around 100 tonnes.
Maersk and Siem have tugs with a BP of over 300 tonnes.
