That desk was a life saver in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, in the 1950s. Oak Ridge does not get the attention that Los Alamos gets, but Oak Ridge is where the uranium was purified for the first atomic bombs. In order to have the electricity to process the uranium many same were built.... It was the origin of TVA!

Irish “Celtic” is pronounced “KELtic” and that heart in hands with crown is the “Claddagh”. I didn’t look it up, but I’m about positive the heart stands for love, the hands for friendship, the crown for loyalty.

Turvis glasses and mugs you should buy even if beat up. Like Costco knives they have a no questions asked forever return for a free replacement policy. Gather all the beat up ones you can and ship them off.
The other lamp wasn't leather, but it's mica or faux mica and nice. Just sell as mica arts and crafts. People search for that. Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style.

Cross stitch is "x", needle point is "/" on canvas not fabric, and crewel is all different styles of Stitches. Great finds🎉
The jellyfish lilly is NOT a nightgown, I have that dress, it’s a thin soft dress. It’s called jellies be jammin it doesn’t go for a lot but probably atleast 25 to 35. ❤ from Birmingham Alabama!

I'd love to see how the staff of your local Goodwill responds to your daily arrival. Do they have the coffee ready for you? I don't think both of you need to go anywhere for entertainment as your thrifting seems to be all the entertainment you need. Expired printer inks still work, non expired is just a feel good aspect. Canada Goose is the correct name. Make sure to sell the Dead shirt fast as the Dead Heads are dying off rapidlly. You have the best Goodwill in existence.
i agree- they have such a big turn over at the Goodwill that we usuallly only see them maybe for a month or less - we know about all the regulars though that shop there lOL

Never underestimate the spring and summer clothing in the fall or winter. It’s still quite warm in the southwest. We go down in October and it’s still in the 90s. This year we’re going to be there until 1 November and it’s still going to be in the upper 70s and low 80s.
Holy moly that was one crazy shoping trip! All the over one hundred doller items and I think you are going to do pretty weii on the Hot Wheels too.
BTW my Dad was military and our schools on base had desks similar to the ones you pointed out way back in the sixties and seventies and we praticed many 'duck and cover drills' with those desks.🥰

One of my favorite sayings at a garage sale or thrift store is “you never know”? Anything odd or weird? I always comp it just in case. And occasionally score big doing that. This video is exactly the reason why. Congrats on those great finds, I would’ve never known they were worth it either.
* I remember in the 60s we had "Impervious" desks.. Science has since found that All of that is WRONG... You get squished under them, you're supposed to bet between them.. Doorways are another killer.. They tilt out & you get squished. But worse, the frame gets tilted into a trapazoid (sp?) and scissor on you &you Die.. All those Stay Alive things were actually "Kiil Yourself this way"... LOL . .

4:05 As I understand it, “embroidery” and “needlepoint” are generic terms that include cross stitch (stitches that look like little “x”s), crewel (uses a variety of stitches) and petit point (teeny tiny stitches).

love the inquisitive nature of a reseller who does not niche down! those frozen food finds may take a little while to find the right buyer but I think that would be well worth the fun of selling something so unique! or who knows, i could be completely wrong and they will sell right away… either way, great finds. I occasionally go to our thrift stores Goodwill and St Vincent DePaul's. I live in Springfield, Oregon the thrift stores here are so expensive its less to go to Walmart and other places. The shoes are outrageously costly, that is just sad, however the garage sales are great. I am not a Resaler I just like to go look sometimes. I watch you and a number of other Resalers and can't believe the great prices you all find. Good for you.

dang! - we found a ton in a storage unit once and never had to buy another one lol - they are getting super expensive
One day, we were driving through a neighborhood and saw a Free sign with bins underneath the sign. We immediately stopped, put the car in reverse, and picked up about six or seven bins. Just needed a light cleaning and now they're storing inventory.

My mom has that very same brass change dish only it says pocket change. She’s had a really really long time like I remember when I was a kid and I am 65 so I’m gonna say that thing is probably from the 60s.

Hay Dude, That box of 3/8" x 4" Hanger Bolts cost around $35 - $45 a box....or more.....you cried about $3 or $4. They are $1.35 each bolt, construction hardware is very expensive...man o man

No that is a good price for those bins. Somebody has some on my Facebook marketplace for seven dollars apiece. And they’re more than that in the store they’re like 10 and $11.
