for those wondering why songchant would increase the damage of monster mantras if it seemingly scales on nothing: songchant actually increases the *base damage* of oath mantras and monster mantras specifically (because they dont scale on anything, duh); it doesn't do this for any other mantra mecha gatling and dread breath both scale on flamecharm and frostdraw respectively, but not on any of the base attributes (strength, fortitude, etc.) which is what the point of the video was (to disprove rumors about mantras scaling on such stats when they don't)

It doesn't scale and unfortunately the damage it deals is stupidly low, Coral Spear deals 4% to your average max build if they eat the entire mantra (it doesn't happen) Most monster mantras are used to setup things into other move, wish they had a bit less wind-up so macro can't just M1 me through.
Why didn’t you just make a 15 second video saying that monster mantras don’t scale off of attribution but they do scale on songchant🤔. You didn’t have to show you testing those mantras if you already knew the answer😭

yeah gatling and dread breath do scale on flamecharm and frost respectively, this was confirmed by arch afaik. no monster mantra scales on any base attribute though as for songchant scaling: yeah, they do increased damage just like oath mantras do when you invest in songchant, this was explicitly mentioned in patch notes at some point
Can you test elemental armor with flame within and maybe other status effects? I heard that flame within burns less when your resistances are higher but I've never seen it in action. Does elemental resistance stack with flame resistance additively or multiplicatively? Can I completely ignore burn damage if I have prophet's cloak (20% flame resist and 25% elemental resist) with a full elemental resist kit (~50%, +8% flame resist from sandrunner wraps)?
burning the status effect of flamecharm does true damage, meaning it ignores all source of resistances, (even damage reduction im sure due to it dealing little per proc) What elemental and flame armor is resistancing you from is the damage of the mantra and eruption explosions sadly the only thing helping u from burning would be the fire worshiper armor
burn damage isnt actually true damage (it gets resisted by dark ages and fire armor) so in theory if you stack them you'll have reduced burn yea. i'll test what defiance specifically does because the description is super vague
