@@joebauers3746 Brett said officially after a few years of silence and after their last record "Bitchin'", that the industry changes made it impossible for them to conitunue to earn a living playing music. Torry Castellano was also no longer able to play drums due to repetitive stress injuries and had already left the band prior to the last release. She went to Stanford and got a Law Degree. Brett also went back to school. I was heartbroken for them. Great catalog and one of the best All-Girl Rock bands ever.
They are missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bret in San Francisco while doing work for her in her apartment years ago on Fillmore. She was the most down to earth and sat with me while I installed a new garbage disposal for her. She didn't come off as a showboat, awesome individual. She and this awesome band will always have my upmost respect. These ladies rock! Thanks for taking the time to chat, will never forget ya!

Musically solid, catchy and full of hooks. This song's a major winner in my book. Plus, I saw The Donnas at Lollapalooza 2003 and they totally rocked their half-hour set, finishing with "Take It Off." These ladies kick ass.

I've played drums since I was 7 and you're so right...there's just something about being part of a band and playing together which brings a joy I've really been able to capture in any other way. There's such a purity to it.

@@jonowens460 Sadly, they broke up because the drummer developed shoulder problems because she never got proper drum lessons that could have taught her to drum without injuring herself.
So the comments here about how exuberant she was in this video are extra heartbreaking; she drummed with such energy that it wrecked her shoulder, elbow, and wrist joints. :(

But instead of being sad, frustrated or hopeless, I'd like to express my gratitude. Thank you for making all these good music. I've been enjoying your music since a decade ago and you will always be on my playlist in the future. I'm also thankful for the fact that you're a female rock n roll band. Rock is definitely not boys-only and I hope your music could inspire future generation of women to get into rock music as well. I have a great time listening to your music and I hope you girls are all doing well after leaving the music scene. You will always have a special place in my heart.

Yes It was great indeed, to buy it I had to import it since it wasn't even released here (Brazil), luckily I could afford it at that time, and it was totally worthy it, I guess there's not a single bad track there. It's really a pity how they didn't got the attention they deserved, especially after the commercial failure of "Gold Medal", but I hope they get more noticed now with the internet everywhere, and hopefully come back someday like L7 did

What a bittersweet blip on the radar. This is such an underrated KICKASS rock album...like The Runaways and AC/DC joined forces.
This is one of those songs that never gets old.

Yeah, that's more than decade ago, that's not really that recent when you think about it.
Regardless though, I listened to a lot of rock music in the early 2000s, I loved it all. I love that the Donnas had a unique sound, there was a lot more variety back then, now all we have is indie shit.
